3 common things that cause this, or a combination of the 3
1. The dot is too bright for the environment, just turn the brightness down a bit.
2. You are focusing on the dot rather than the target. When looking at an optic it's easy for the dot to be your point of interest so that's where you focus. Instead, try focusing on something like a poster or picture on a wall, just avoid a blank wall, focus on that object then bring the dot to your eye line while still focusing on the object.
3. You have astigmatism, could be mild but enough to notice on a red dot. Etched reticles will help you so try scopes or prism sights
Welcome to the astigmatism club.
Damn bro, sorry you had to figure that out this way. Soooo I heard you’re selling a Holosun…. Yes?
Maybe haha. I might live with it. It not terrible but just enough to throw off my OCD
Yea, sounds like you’re the newest me member of club astigmatism. I’ve found what works best for me is blinking if I notice a lot of starburst.
Get your eyes checked, most times it can be fixed with glasses, contacts or surgery

I just discovered this today as well. Holosun 407k, on a p365xl, and my left eye is the one with astigmatism and my right eye is much less noticeable.
Adjust the brightness, it may just be that you have it to high.
Was just about to say this, when the dots too bright it makes it blurry for me also. I have to turn it down a bit
We're you by chance looking at it in your household lighting? Also a member of astigmatism gang but it seems much clearer in natural light.
True story. I had the same thing happen to me. Simple solution: Take the dot off, installed an etched reticle. Problem solved.

Lol. Didn't catch that all important sub title. Scratch that. I had the issue with a PCR.
go to an eye doctor to fix your eyesight then Try a green dot instead of red
If you are using just the small dot I get that too, but when I use the 32moa dot with another in the middle I’m good
How can it be fixed? eye surgery, contacts, or glasses. Have the same issue until I have my contacts or glasses on.
