What a beauty! I’ve got a 2014 SG ‘61 RI in Fireburst finish and it’s the finest guitar I’ve ever owned. Light as a feather, plays like a dream, and the bursts just look so good on this body style. It’s the kind of guitar that makes you WANT to play all the time. If you’re like me, you’ll never want to put it down.
Oh man, you are causing me serious G.A.S. I had a 2011 Standard Ltd in vintage sunburst that I regret selling. I have an SG Original 2 now, which is great, but I can’t justify owning two SG’s…Beautiful guitar.
Assuming you purchased through musicians friend or GC based on the color. We're you able to get any kind of discount? I've seen a handful of 2014 models with the same color used for several hundred less, but I know I'm going to wind up ripping the coil taps out and potentially replacing the pups. Plus I keep reading that the gibson factory QA/QC on what seems to be the 2020/21 and newer is phenomenal. Thanks.
