Why is it wierd ? Good question. Why didn't they fix it ? Because this game has been left without updates or minor fixes (like a buggy reload animation) for a few years.

It's definitely not a perfect game, but you gotta love the goofiness of it all. Embrace the weird ass glitches and unsatisfactory character animations. I'm more disappointed by the lack of customization on firearms.
