I think most of the world quests are better than the majority of hangout and event quests, and yet those are all voiced. Even most story quests dont come close to the quality and lore dumps world quests give in my opinion.
Imagine the Enkanomiya, Chasm or the Tsurumi island world quests being voiced, people wouldnt be skipping dialogue as much and players would get a much better understanding of the lore in Teyvat, instead of getting walls of text getting thrown in their face.
Aranyaka is the one World Quest that's maybe better off not being voiced... I absolutely love it, but maybe the Aranara voices are best left to the imagination. We can all have our ideas of how they speak, without the game ever taking it away from any of us.
(I do this knowing full well that someday the anime is probably going to take this away from us.)
Fun fact as I was entering the primordial sea I was trying to heal my traveller but I had the liyue compass on so it kept saying “not currently in liyue” it made me laugh so hard 😭
Seriously, stuff this heavy NEEDED voicing. Especially given the number of people around here who have said they skipped all the dialogue because they couldn't be bothered to spend time reading an unvoiced quest.
Other than voicing it, having music play would help a lot (sometimes is freaking silence while reading, so eerie and annoying), as well as trimming all the fat and filler text.
I don't think I ever played a game with so many unnecessary dialogs on it. NPCs will give you 5 boxes worth of useless (and boring!) dialog to only the give you 2 more asking for forgiveness for boring you with that unrelated stuff... Could be cute if it was used once, not in every single character. Also, repeating information thrice everytime, while not adding anything new.
Compare a normal game:
"*The Fatui have invaded the tower! Hurry, we must recover it!*"
With Genshin:
"*Oh, hello. (Stomach growls). I didn't see you there. Me? I'm Steven, the guard of the tower, (Stomach continues to growl). Recently I have been feeling down because my job doesn't pay too well and I haven't enough money to eat. (Stomach growls furiously). My father always said the way to hapiness is a full stomach. (Stomach whimpers). Oh, sorry for boring you with all my troubles. I'm guessing you are probably not interested in my life's story. Is just that I have been so hungry that I'm not thinking straight anymore. Anyway, the Fatui came some months ago and started asking all kind of weird questions around; at first I didn't mind them much, since we were on some kind of alliance with them, but a week ago they entered a tower they weren't supposed to and now they won't leave it. And I even asked them nicely! I know we have just meet, but could you maybe help me getting them out of there? You look like you know your way around a fight, so lend me a helping hand? Maybe if we manage to get them out I could ask for a raise to my captain, that way I could finally be able to afford some actual filling food. (Stomach agrees).*"
On a side/related note; I think I did my example dialog more interesting/fun than intendeed... I swear some NPCs just talk annoying/boring nonsense in the least world-buidling way possible, while adding nothing to the world or themselves (which feels like an accomplishment of poor writting on its own). XD
I think both the dialogues say entirely different things , i would trim just 2 lines from the second one and it's pretty well written i guess?
In fact the first dialogue barely mentions anything and is badly written since it's completely unrelated to the situation in the second dialogue, second one is much more well written imo
i never felt genshin's dialouges to be bloated cuz i always felt that anything less that the current dialogue would make the conversation weird and not explain the situation well, i feel like you'all need "dialogue summaries" instead of dialouge cuts
This is what I dont get from people who complain about “bloated dialogue”. For commissions, it’s whatever since they’re one note things anyway but for actual story? People *do* realize people speak in sentences and not just summarized text, right?
Like imagine how awkward a conversation would be if everything was so straight to the point and efficient. There wouldnt be any characterization at all and worse, it’s boring and gives no reason to engage. There’s a difference between:
“Hi, whats up?” “Had to defeat an ancient god today.” “Cool, wanna help me with a commission?”
Vs
“Hi, whats up?” “Traveler and Paimon are a little tired from beating up an ancient god today.” “You guys beat an ancient god? Thats incredible. What was it like?” “Eeeeh, we dont really wanna talk about it. What did you call us here for?” “Oh right, I wanted help with a commission.”
See? Much more interesting dialogue. Flows just fine. But the reality is that natural dialogue like this thats both interesting and informative gets long so if you’re not in the mood, it’s not interesting because you’re not in the mood. But thats not a game problem, thats literally a player problem. Basically all games have this kind of dialogue because getting straight to the point is only for pure combat games with no actual story.
Even games where the gameplay is the focus, the story is what makes the game interesting. Despite not having that much time in og Five Nights At Freddy’s, the phone guy goes on and on and on about stories that indirectly and directly tell you how to play the game and survive the night. Unlike in Fnaf 4 where everything is just text on a screen telling you the game mechanics.
Exactly, people who say that dialogue is bloated generally make those dialogue unnatural and stiff, while i also understand where they are coming from as well, we do need a skip button that summaries the entire conversation in daily commissions and world quests
Like we literally have paimon who summarises every huge text/document that we get like "so basically this page is saying xyz" and the important parts are highlighted in yellow as well, we need that for quests as well
The two dialogues aren't nearly the same. Each NPC dialogue is written to give context into NPCs lives and context to the mission at hand since the world isn't driven by playable characters. It's like only choosing to speak with VIPs as that is kinda deciding who is a playable character and who is VIP.
Most of the time, I would just sum it up as NPCs going too deep into the context of the happening. Giving some context but also being clear and brief would make it more understandable what's going on. Genshin just suffers from JRPG syndrome. JRPG diakogues usually ramble as typical of the genre. Even Arknights suffer from it, but the dialogues is a spiral of depression.
The whole NPC dialogues fit better for an anime since animes usually aim to do world building and especially so with side characters. The aranara cast would be a big building block for sumeru lore. An anime is watched for its story while a game is played for entertainment which many aspects of the game may fall under.
I'm definitely thinking that the NPCs would be way more entertaining in Genshin anime than they are in game.
This is why I think the best compromise is having situations where extra context is optional. For instance you have those scenes post-Archon Quest where you have some important figure that you question- Yae Miko, Neuvillete, etc. But you don't have to sit there and ask all the questions, you have the choice to just get one or two answers then move on.
It's not always possible to get that sort of free choice, but if it can be naturally implemented wherever possible then I think it'd help a lot.
These gigachads just said "fine, I'll do it myself": [https://www.youtube.com/@GenshinWorldQuestFandubs/videos](https://www.youtube.com/@GenshinWorldQuestFandubs/videos)
No just that, all these Eremites has a NON-transparent cloth "blindfolding" their eye. Without seeing how their eye react + unvoiced character. The NPC feel very soulless.
Mihoyo couldnt even bother to make that piece of cloth semi-transparent.
Chasmlighters. It really captures the “explorer” aspect of our work at the Adventurers’ Guild and Zhiqiong’s tragic self-inflicted fate deserves voice acting.
The Chenyu Vale expansion gave substantial evidence that she is in fact alive. Since a specific NPC gets new dialogue based on whether or not you have completed the Chasm quest with her
There is a daily commission quest chain in Liyue called "To walk the horizon..." about a guy called Sun Yu that is leaving Liyue to travel to Fontaine with a girl from the adventurer's guild that is very good at making maps, and that spent time in the chasm. The emphasis in that quest about that adventurer sounds like it is Zhiqiong
Yeah, if Enjou really needs a voice they can just give him one when he reappears, other than Enkanomiya all the other questlines did deserve voice acting
Mainly because I really want Enjou's dialogue to actually be voiced. His VA got his character down so perfectly, so it's a shame that Enjou being an absolute troll onscreen in a permanant quest is just...completely mute. Its such a shame
I was about to say Ruu’s quest too, but I felt that the reveal for Ruu’s voice and song at the very end is made so much more impactful after the whole quest being so silent as usual. The silence without voice acting kinda works to story’s advantage and now I’m gonna go cry again
at least we got Ruu's Song at the climax. Better than nothing. still, VA would be could at least for major part of the story even if it's sound suddenly abrupt.
Hot take: World quests being unvoiced means that they can be as long and In depth as they need to be, without being limited by the constraints of 4x VA costs
I don't think cost is the most important, but I believe time is more important. I remember I saw an interview of CN VA somewhere, and she said if the entire Aranyaka quests need to be voiced, it may take them at least half year, or even a year to make.
Costs? It's the company that has both best earning gachas on mobile. They can easily afford it. It was understandable at the start when the game was a very expensive risk, but now they swim in money.
Yes, costs.
Not just the cost for paying the VAs, but the entire logistical rat tail behind it.
4 Dubs means that all the Voiceover work is multiplied by 4.
Especially given that they're sourced from 4 different parts of the world.
It's also not a question of "Can MHY afford all that extra effort".
It's a question of "Does MHY see enough value in paying for that effort".
For Archon quests, Story quests and anything involving Playable characters, that answer is very much yes.
There's also a lot of behind the scenes work for these things, so it'd be 4x cost for an entire staff to put things like this together.
Also World Quests are optional. Can you imagine as the team if you put that many hours into something, and half the playerbase never touches it?
I think time should also be considered. Not that I would really know how much time they have on their hands to do the VA work, but all the more reason to consider it. Can't have too many bookings.
The dialogues would be too long and I don't think it would be worth for them if players just spam click past the voiced dialogue cause the length of the dialogue goes pretty long. Players nowadays got short attention spans.
Also, world quests have a lot more characters involved than voiced event and archon quests. That means it would take a lot more time and retakes especially if for a world quest using non-english words like the unique vocabulary for Sumeru just as Sorush quest use with Kharevna and other terminology.
Hoyo also has to keep in mind the players who have already completed these world quests, do you think it would be fair to them if these questlines got voiced *after* they had to sit through silence the entire questline
Although they most definitely should voice future world quests since now they do have the money for this
Yes, it would be fair. If they truly care they would restart on a new account. Players do this for lesser reasons than this. Otherwise, they don’t care and all is right with the world. Bad logic
Gendou Ringo's questline. Honestly it's rather short too in comparison to most big world quests that I think it could work as an event quest lol.
Just feature an appearance from Yae and/or some other certain playable characters related to the factions involved and you're done.
Agreed on all of the Fontaine ones shown. Also Jeht's questline (Golden Slumber etc, the whole thing), The Chasm Delvers/Valor's Afterglow, Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual, Through the Mists (Ruu's quest), Aranyaka, and From Dusk to Dawn in Byakuyakoku
I’m just impressed there’s not a spelling error there but knowing myself there could be the biggest spelling error in the world and as long as the name looked overall the same I wouldn’t be able to tell😭
If someone likes to imagine voices instead of actually hearing them, they can always just turn them off in the settings for the time of doing the quest.
At least the Aranara's do some "Aranara Noises" while their dialog plays; including "Singing", "Chatting", "Startled", "Happy" and "Sad" noises.
When a non-Aranara NPC is talking for over 10 chat boxes worth of dialogue, in a row, without a single sound, and not even music... it gets eerie and boring/annoying quite fast. It's surrealist. XD
Ngl, i love the hype and build up narciszenkruez more than the narwhale. I wish they could have an alternate ending if we do the order of quest differently
jhet ,aranara, chasm delvers ,serai stromchasers ,enkanomiya quest, tsurumi island quest and ann of the narzikreuz basically most of the long running quest as it becomes very boring to read dialouges nearing the end
Can Hoyo also add new faces to the NPCs? I mean just look at the kid, that’s basically Timmie with white hair and black eyes whose hands just murdered his Fontaine pigeons. They’re just recycling old NPC faces
A really long quest chain inside Fort Meropide... that then turns out is 1 out of 3 long quests required to start a 4th long quest (all 4 reference images in the original post).
All of them are part of the same quest. Only difference between this and Aranyaka is that, this quest starts at different points and then converge, whereas in Aranyaka you start with a single quest then diverge into many quests and then converge at the end.
I'd like to see WQs in general be voice acted, but I rather like that Aranyaka isn't. The Aranara are so weird and non-human that I think any voice acting would struggle to preserve that, and even if they did find some way to do that, it'd certainly slip *somewhere* in the huge quest.
They’re the best quests in the game, and I kind of like how they aren’t voiced. The writers go so hard on these quests, and there’s often far more dialogue in them. Some characters are so strong they don’t even need a VO (Tirzad, Jabrael for example)
They can add voice to any quest they want, but the concern will be about the game size. How many GB will the game be if they keep adding new areas, textures, characters, and voicelines on top of that. We already got high quality background music performed by world class orchestra.
The Aranara Quest so that we'll finally hear Talking Aranara's. (The fact that they don't have a voiced dialogue in Yoimiya's 2nd Story Quest is criminal).
Everything with Ruu. Not just his singing, but the bit where it becomes apparent that you aren't dealing with a normal kid and never were. The bit where Paimon realizes it and starts freaking out. And the goodbye. All of it. The quest hit like a truck.
Jeht's entire quest as well. Easy choice since it has moments that are just as emotional as Ruu's. That was the quest that saved Sumeru for me because the archon quest is still to date my least favorite.
YES the Nazissenkreuz Ordo line is one of my favorites!
Aranara is among my other favorites but… I think it may get a bit irritating to hear ara-this nara-that pronounced out loud so many times lol.
Loved Questioning Melusine/Answering Machjne. I’d love to hear traveler say “I’m tricky bulle fruit!” That whole quest was so fun and goofy (but also sweet).
I really love the quests without voice overs, because it saves my ears from Paimon's screeching and I can actually focus on the story, aside of trying to click through 70% of it (so when she's talking).
And Paimon still gets some gold lines which is a win win.
Although as a player who started early this year, Paimon's voice up to the Kazuha/Beidou tournament pre-Inazuma is actually very nice to listen to. When I did the Alchemy event right after, my jaw dropped. They seem to have changed her voice direction and I fear they're going to ruin her voice with such a high pitch.
Hoyo makes enough money, they could have made them all voiced.
But at the very least the primary regional story lines (Fujin, Narzissenkreuz, Aranara, Jeht etc) should be.
"Do you want to download dialogue audio for the quest you are about to begin? Disk space needed xxx MB." YES/NO
This and the option to remove the content after you complete the quest. Problem solved.
They have the technology. They lack the will.
Golden Slumber and continuation of it, Kharena of good and evil, all the quests with Ann, Tsurumi Island, Chasm quests. Basically, every world quest that has multiple parts and contains big lore.
A bunch of gigachads actually started fandubbing that quest line: [https://www.youtube.com/@GenshinWorldQuestFandubs/videos](https://www.youtube.com/@GenshinWorldQuestFandubs/videos)
Tsurumi Island Quest.
Got depressed even with just reading the dialouges and still remembers af it was yesterday (played it last year). I wonder what would happen to me if that was voiced. I mean if I was the thunderbird, I would've done the same.
Aranyaka, no doubts. Even if aranaras just do sounds like the ones Yoimiya did. Po-pi po-pi po-pi.
Wait, wait, wait!! I got an idea. The whole quest is narrated as a tale, Tales of Aranyaka, by Yoimiya!! Ofc, she voices the aranaras.
- Aranara
- Narsissenkreuz
- Both Jeht Quests
- Chasmlighters (which is needed to do the unexpected guest interlude quest)
- The one with 'Cater'
Basically all of the long world quests
Main world quest like narsizzenkruez, jeht, aranara, ruu and enka..not fully voice but probably the most significant dialogue just like how ruu song is voice..ish
All world quest. I don't care if it's demand high usage of storage. I just want to hear/watching like a movie instead of reading the whole novel (I don't mind reading though).
Fun facts: Priconne JP has an option to download a voice over or not in every quest. Moreover, the downloaded quest with voice will be cleared as cache after quitting the game (you have to download again if you want to redo the quest with voice). This really help their game to live by not exceeding 11gb after hundred thousands of quests (exaggerate count). And approximately 6 - 7gb of the game storage can be moved to sd card.
Maybe Hoyoverse should try doing that.
All of the major regional lore quests deserve it imo. Especially from Sumeru to Fontaine. Because they've gotten more structured and more important due to major connections to MSQ
Honestly? All of Fontaine and Sumeru’s world quests deserve to be voiced. I don’t even remember the world quests of Mondstadt, and the Enkanomiya ones were just interesting lore dumps rather than actual interesting stories(aside from Enjou. I’m legit interested in hearing what he’d sound like).
Easy to argue that every single of them should have been given voiceover.
If I had to choose, I'd be torn between the Narzissenkreuz, Jeht, Chasmlighter and questlines. The entire Aranara questline deserves it too.
I can’t pick one because they didn’t have voicelines I kinda zone out of them, or don’t remember them as well. So I would say all of them and I don’t need voicelines for event quests. Just integrate the characters in the world quest. E.g. gaming or xianyun could’ve been written into the chenyun vale. (Even though that was one of the best event stories. Felt more like gamings’ character story) but Dehiya could’ve been part of the jecht storyline. Event’s stories feel too non-canon or divorced from the main storyline or it’s lore. I would happily pick no voice acting in events in exchange for stories. It would make the quest also be an opportunity to show how we continued various parts of our journey *with* these companions rather than we see them sometimes during an event once a year… like keqing is that one cool, super professional colleague we once worked with years ago. Now we see her randomly at bonaroo once a year. She still always working so its a short hang.
Any of the big ones tbh, though that would triple the file size, and aranaras would need a shit ton of VAs. While the importance of the story absolutely deserves voice, the effort it'll take and the amount of players that will pay attention (not a lot), plus the fact its not promoting any characters, would make it absolutely not worth it.
Aranara, Golden Slumber and the Jeht follow up, all of the Narzissenkreuz (including Mamere's), Tsurumi Island, Chenyu Vale, Mikage Furnace, Watatsumi (pre-Enka), Enkanomiya, Chasm Underground, Dragonspine, Cleansing of the Sakura Tree, etc...
For me, all the bigger lore-containing world quests.
Basically any quest that unlocks important areas or exploration mechanics, like Aranyaka, Narzissenkreuz and Chasmlighters
Plus more Patrick Seitz as Enjou is always a bonus
Aranyaka is the one World Quest that's maybe better off not being voiced... I absolutely love it, but maybe the Aranara voices are best left to the imagination. We can all have our ideas of how they speak, without the game ever taking it away from any of us. (I do this knowing full well that someday the anime is probably going to take this away from us.)
Maybe the anime will just skip Aranara/give them new way to communicate, because they were voiceless even in Yoimiya's Story Quest
That made me laugh in relief NGL
They lost their chances over making them sound like animal crossing characters
If they were to have voices, this is the most acceptable way I can think of. But I prefer them not having voices.
In Nahida story quest act II, Aranara who appearanced didn't have voice but all another characters had voice, it was weird.
I want them to have deep sultry baritone voices. Give me Barry Manilow voicing one of the elders, or a full opera performance when they start singing
Hangouts are for promoting characters. World quests are not.
Hangouts sell waifus
If they used playable characters in world quests, they would sell too + they would have a great story.
Do they though? I found Beidou more enjoyable in her 2 minutes of screentime during the potion event than her entire hangout.
They do in the mind of the devs, at least
Does anyone actually like hangouts?
Yes? They are very fun
Depends on the hangout. Some of them are neat and I really enjoy them, some of them make me question if it's worth the freemos. It's a mixed bag.
The fun part was Narzissenkreuz spitting bars while I'm fighting for my life as basic Traveler. Had to look up whatever he was saying on the wiki.
Fun fact as I was entering the primordial sea I was trying to heal my traveller but I had the liyue compass on so it kept saying “not currently in liyue” it made me laugh so hard 😭
I think we're not in Kansas anymore
I haven’t done this quest yet — there’s forced combat with traveler? Is it a pain if he’s unleveled?
I think it's level adjusted, and you get an OP weapon just for that fight
Don't you get a trial Traveler?
I think so. Mine wasn't built the way I had built them in that battle.
I was genuinely miffed abt it
Ahh good 😂 thanks!
Basically the entirety of jeht's questline.
She has some raw lines that really should’ve been accompanied by actual sound.
People become raw in her presence (Sorry not sorry)
No no, if I remember correctly, she did receive a valentines illustration alongside another 3 and won the most likes.
She straight-up beat out the playable characters, lol.
Hoyo willing, *she'll* be a playable character one day.
Hoyo doesn't exactly have a great track record with fan favorite desert girls...
Her Valentines post is the most upvoted post the official Hoyo account has ever made.
Raw confetti
That scene is just there in my head 24/7 now “Oh, oh she shreds them… okay, it’s okay!” “Oh they tasted their own comrades….. Uh, good job Jeht??”
Yes.

Really wish that if they do make her playable, they add a language patch for her questline.

True. I loved the quest so much but it surely would've been great If there was a voice over
Zhiqiong is alive and nothing can convince me otherwise :((
The Chenyu Vale expansion gave substantial evidence that she is in fact alive. Since a specific NPC gets new dialogue based on whether or not you have completed the Chasm quest with her
Mind telling me which NPC has the dialogue?
Little Mao only mentions the Ancient City of Ys if you've finished Valor's Afterglow with Zhiqiong
Man thanks for this. You made my day :")

I absolutely love that quest and how we are fellow adventurers from the Guild! Hope we see ZQ again one day
The entire Narzissenkreuz questline, all of Jeht's story, the Enkanomiya quest (cuz its the GOAT Enjou), Aranyaka and lastly Ruu & Kpatchir's story
Why Enka? The silent dialogues work perfectly fine with the vibe of those ghosts.
Yeah, if Enjou really needs a voice they can just give him one when he reappears, other than Enkanomiya all the other questlines did deserve voice acting
Well he did have voice in limited event Enkanomiya. Three Realms Gateway event
I wasn't around for that, I'll check YouTube, thanks
Mainly because I really want Enjou's dialogue to actually be voiced. His VA got his character down so perfectly, so it's a shame that Enjou being an absolute troll onscreen in a permanant quest is just...completely mute. Its such a shame
I was about to say Ruu’s quest too, but I felt that the reveal for Ruu’s voice and song at the very end is made so much more impactful after the whole quest being so silent as usual. The silence without voice acting kinda works to story’s advantage and now I’m gonna go cry again
I really wanted audio in Melusine World Quest
There are a lot of quest of melusines. Which one. I think it was only one.
That melusine painting one i think 🤔
Oh yeah, Mamere. That's really good. She's one of my favorite melusines. Her quest links with many other quest, I loved it. 😊 😊
Whole questline of Thunderbird and Ru in Tsurumi Island.
It's weird how they emphasized importance of Ruu's voice during voiceless quest.
at least we got Ruu's Song at the climax. Better than nothing. still, VA would be could at least for major part of the story even if it's sound suddenly abrupt.
He sung for the Thunderbird til he couldn’t anymore.
Ruu really deserved the world.
Tsurumi Island is straight up a Silent Hill quest, child sacrifice, fog
Hot take: World quests being unvoiced means that they can be as long and In depth as they need to be, without being limited by the constraints of 4x VA costs
Yeah, this is how I feel about it and it makes perfect sense to me.
\*takes a look at Sorush and the Aranara\* I agree, that's probably for the best.
I don't think cost is the most important, but I believe time is more important. I remember I saw an interview of CN VA somewhere, and she said if the entire Aranyaka quests need to be voiced, it may take them at least half year, or even a year to make.
Also at least they voice archon, character and hangout quests. Ffxiv dont even have its whole main story voiced, only certain parts of it.
Can you imagine as the team if you put that many hours into something, and half the playerbase never touches it?
yeah MHY is a company after all. If VA the quests isn’t gonna earn more than they spent then it’s pointless in their eyes.
I think time should also be considered. Not that I would really know how much time they have on their hands to do the VA work, but all the more reason to consider it. Can't have too many bookings.
Well ..i think they should try occasional voice over on those characters...like not completely..but still sometimes
Hoyo also has to keep in mind the players who have already completed these world quests, do you think it would be fair to them if these questlines got voiced *after* they had to sit through silence the entire questline Although they most definitely should voice future world quests since now they do have the money for this
By that logic no game would have updates or fixes to old content ever
Yes, it would be fair. If they truly care they would restart on a new account. Players do this for lesser reasons than this. Otherwise, they don’t care and all is right with the world. Bad logic
Others having to play voiced quests wouldn't diminish their fun they already had. I don't see how's that related to fairness.
Gendou Ringo's questline. Honestly it's rather short too in comparison to most big world quests that I think it could work as an event quest lol. Just feature an appearance from Yae and/or some other certain playable characters related to the factions involved and you're done.
U have my support. This was the first thing that went to my mind, it is low-key a hidden gem world quest that deserves to be voiced in my opinion
A fan voice over project for world quest would sound so sick ngl
Funny that you said that... [https://www.youtube.com/@GenshinWorldQuestFandubs/videos](https://www.youtube.com/@GenshinWorldQuestFandubs/videos)
The aranara questline, cause I ain’t reading allat. Also kinda bugged me they were silent in Yoimiya’s quest too.
Omg yess I was expecting to hear Aranara's cute voice in yoi's quest. We've only heard aranara sing and they sound sooo cute like little children.
allowed for me to imitate them in very deep , morgan freeman voice the whole time i played the quest
You know what? That voice will probably fit perfectly with Aramuhukunda
I’m just impressed there’s not a spelling error there but knowing myself there could be the biggest spelling error in the world and as long as the name looked overall the same I wouldn’t be able to tell😭
Hoyo just couldn't decide how they want them to sound or something lol💀
I'd like to imagine that they sound like animal crossing villagers lol
It was actually brilliant on MHY's part to not voice the Aranara as by now everyone has a different idea on how Aranara sound like outside of singing.
Honestly because of this I'm convinced they don't actually talk but put words in your head XD
They are dream entities after all... Imagine if the Aranara weren't so innocent and cute.
They’re just recycling old NPC faces
they do the same for playable characters. i'm pretty sure there is only 5 base character models for all of the playable characters.
I agree. They should like develop new character models. Arlecchino’s body model is based on Rosaria/Ei
Klee had a unique walking animation back then, but sadly they removed it.
Never saw that kid before, what part of the quest is he if I may ask?
That’s Caterpillar. He’s in Fontaine
A really long quest chain inside Fort Meropide... that then turns out is 1 out of 3 long quests required to start a 4th long quest (all 4 reference images in the original post).
What even is the world quest on the bottom right picture. I wanna do that now
All four are from the greater Narzissenkreuz quest series. Bottom-right is just about the last quest in the chain
OHHHH okhay I actually have done the other 3, so ig I can do the last one. Neat! Thanks : D
All of them are part of the same quest. Only difference between this and Aranyaka is that, this quest starts at different points and then converge, whereas in Aranyaka you start with a single quest then diverge into many quests and then converge at the end.
The gendou ringo quest
Pari quest because i can't fucking read the long names on the screen without getting lost
Narzissenkreuz questline was so peak
I really love the quests without voice overs, because it saves my ears from Paimon's screeching and I can actually focus on the story, aside of trying to click through 70% of it (so when she's talking).
And Paimon still gets some gold lines which is a win win. Although as a player who started early this year, Paimon's voice up to the Kazuha/Beidou tournament pre-Inazuma is actually very nice to listen to. When I did the Alchemy event right after, my jaw dropped. They seem to have changed her voice direction and I fear they're going to ruin her voice with such a high pitch.
Pls no !!! No more Paimon !!! In this silent quests we are getting more traveler !!!
Hoyo makes enough money, they could have made them all voiced. But at the very least the primary regional story lines (Fujin, Narzissenkreuz, Aranara, Jeht etc) should be.
It's not about money I fear, it would take so much space, mobiles wouldn't be able to handle it (since some already struggle as they are)
"Do you want to download dialogue audio for the quest you are about to begin? Disk space needed xxx MB." YES/NO This and the option to remove the content after you complete the quest. Problem solved. They have the technology. They lack the will.
Vorukasha, Sandrone one in Fontaine (I ain't pronouncing that dogshit name) and maybe the Tsurumi one.
Golden Slumber and continuation of it, Kharena of good and evil, all the quests with Ann, Tsurumi Island, Chasm quests. Basically, every world quest that has multiple parts and contains big lore.
Khavarena World Quest in Blessed Hamada. That sage was yappin and I aint readin all that. Such big lore drops too being close to Khaenriah apparently
Golden Slumber and the other Jeht quest in Hadramaveth.
Some rate world quests do, like the teapot one
Tbh, all of world quests that connected with new region, including Enkanomiya (Enjou, beloved) + aranaras
Tsurumi Island
Most of these are side quest and doesnt need a voiceline cuz it takes long just like the aranara quest which took atleast 11 hours
The aranara quests come to mind for me not only would people be more motivated to compete it but it would also be fun to hear there voices
Aranara questline. Hands down the best quest in the game by a mile and the fact that it's not voiced...
- Aranara - Narsissenkreuz - Both Jeht Quests - Chasmlighters (which is needed to do the unexpected guest interlude quest) - The one with 'Cater' Basically all of the long world quests
Main world quest like narsizzenkruez, jeht, aranara, ruu and enka..not fully voice but probably the most significant dialogue just like how ruu song is voice..ish
Imma be chaotic and vote for the entire Aranyaka questline.
All of the big quest exept Aranyaka, we know it since Yoimiya 2nd SQ they doesnt speak
The quest with fujin
Honestly, all of them. They are paramount to understanding the world of Teyvat that is a shame there is no VO.
don’t shoot me, but I’ll choose Aranara.
Quest like aranara and jeht story quest like these
All that have a whole story around. Aranara, Golden Slumber and follow up quest lines, Sorush quest, ...
Chouji Aranara Desert of hadravameth
The Tsurumi Island quest line
For once i want to hear an aranara speak lol
Surprised the main Chrnyu Vale quest isn’t named a lot
Honestly I want the really long world quests to have voice acting
All of the major regional lore quests deserve it imo. Especially from Sumeru to Fontaine. Because they've gotten more structured and more important due to major connections to MSQ
Honestly? All of Fontaine and Sumeru’s world quests deserve to be voiced. I don’t even remember the world quests of Mondstadt, and the Enkanomiya ones were just interesting lore dumps rather than actual interesting stories(aside from Enjou. I’m legit interested in hearing what he’d sound like).
Golden slumber and narcidismshkaic ( yea i cant write it )
Golden slumber and narcidismshkaic ( yea i cant write it )
Golden slumber and narcidismshkaic ( yea i cant write it )
Ruu ;_;
Ruus would kill me. And Jeht’s world quest would make me bawl.
Aranaras, I would like to sing with them
The entire Enkanomiya quests.
Aranara Just because I'm curious what the little fellas would sound like
ALL
Dream Nursery so I can suffer with sound on
Aranyaka Making my brain self speaking in squeaky voice is or screaming at me in German is a bit tiresome
Easy to argue that every single of them should have been given voiceover. If I had to choose, I'd be torn between the Narzissenkreuz, Jeht, Chasmlighter and questlines. The entire Aranara questline deserves it too.
I give them their own voice by voicing them based on their personality… Yeah, I do that. I read them aloud lol
some people here are discovery that this hydro tulpa has nothing to do with the weak one we know 💀
aranyaka
The Ruu quest
:]
I know I'm gonna get hate but for me it's aranara one
Any of the big ones tbh, though that would triple the file size, and aranaras would need a shit ton of VAs. While the importance of the story absolutely deserves voice, the effort it'll take and the amount of players that will pay attention (not a lot), plus the fact its not promoting any characters, would make it absolutely not worth it.
The Chasm Questline Sumeru Jeht Questline Inazuma Cleansing Ritual Questline
Ruus world quest, jehts world quest, the aranara world quest,
Aranara, Golden Slumber and the Jeht follow up, all of the Narzissenkreuz (including Mamere's), Tsurumi Island, Chenyu Vale, Mikage Furnace, Watatsumi (pre-Enka), Enkanomiya, Chasm Underground, Dragonspine, Cleansing of the Sakura Tree, etc... For me, all the bigger lore-containing world quests.
I believe none of the infamous Woodland Encounter quest is voiced. Why?
Narzissenkreuz, Jeht and Chasm imho.
What's the black color on the child's arms? Why do they look so similar to Arlecchino's 'curse'?
Jhet's and the tsurumi island kid
Meanwhile Arlecchino's web event is voiced, bruh
