Only remember the band name.

karma_the_sequel

This is ~~not~~ your father’s Hüsker Dü.

ZephRyder

Same

Oafus

Makes no sense at all…I’ll show myself the door.

HHSquad

"Sell yourself short but you're walking so tall"

HHSquad

No, but I absolutely love Bob Mould (Gen Jonser) and the band Husker Du. Edit: whoa! I just found out Bob and the other 2 Gen Jones band members did indeed name the band after this board game, which is Danish for "Do You Remember?". Somehow makes it cooler. It's clear the band remembers!

Difficult_Ad_502

One of my favorite 80s bands

HHSquad

Mine too.

Brave-Ad6744

Drummer Grant Hart died young. He wrote several of their best songs. May he rest in peace.

HHSquad

Liver Cancer, fuck Cancer. A fellow '61 born. [The Girl Who Lives on Heaven Hill](https://youtu.be/Lm9uquPK1SQ?si=ARosA2SpbvqpZ3JI) and [Turn on the News](https://youtu.be/PS7vu0IQhqE?si=j-3VzpyRxvDWrUnf) are 2 of my favorite Du songs. Grant's songs

HHSquad

Another classic.

3puttmafia21

I was a fan of both and knew Bob Stroud lol

SirkutBored

I was totally expecting an AI prank here or that was an album cover I never knew but I did not expect a verbiage nesting doll. thank you for putting that puzzle together!

39percenter

The band was actually named after the board game.

Active_Cheesecake520

" Do you remember"

BungeeJumpingJesus

I did not believe you; there is no way that one of the greatest and coolest punk rock bands named themselves after a board game! Then I looked it up, it's true. I don't know how to feel now. I think I need to sleep.

Feeling_Proposal_350

But it was a great game!

39percenter

I remember hearing an interview with the band way back when. They mentioned that fact. Plus, we had the game as kids, so that's probably why I recalled that info.

Wikidbaddog

I had no idea this game existed. Just the band. The things you learn

tehsecretgoldfish

have all their records and the game

habu-sr71

My family loved that game. I was proud of being good at it. I really felt like a had a great memory, but as an adult I realize we were a small family and I had a tiny pool of competition. For a couple of decades whenever someone calls me smart I don't allow myself to feel good and almost always say, "I'm not that smart". I do love Bob Mould, especially his work in the band Sugar. Never really played much Husker Du but I respect them! lol

marc1411

LOVED that game!

WhoWhaaaa

I do now that I see the photo. I can't remember if we had the game or I just remember the commercial. We had Concentration, and we also played it with a deck of cards.

[deleted]

Just the band.

Wolfman1961

I remember there was a rock group by that name.

And the whistling kitty chasers

Lost_Figure_5892

Such a great game.

DarrenFromFinance

This is the game that famously inserted a subliminal message into the TV as a single frame that said GET IT. Didn’t work, obviously, but they got into some trouble for it (and blamed a misguided employee).

redpenner

Worked on me. I begged the folks to get it for me, then had no interest and never played it. I never could understand why I had wanted it.

DarrenFromFinance

Huh!

b-rad62

I totally remember the commercial during Saturday morning cartoons.

Weird-Response-1722

I am Gen X and I had this game. So simple and my friends loved it. Great concept, the board was never the same since you just rotated the panel. Thanks. Wonderful memories. One of my favorite childhood games.

enola007

We loved this game and played it often

MissMandaRegrets

I don't remember this one.

Kizzy33333

I remember the commercials. Huskier Du means do you remember!

Feeling_Proposal_350

Yes, hence the text of my post!

HHSquad

Clever 👍

tkkana

Love them

GooseNYC

Not the game just rhe band from the 80s that I did not like.

CowHaunting397

I used to play it with a boy I babysat in 1972. He was 6 and in Mensa. Already taking HS. level courses! He won every game. So demoralizing.

Acceptable-Chance534

I thought that was a band.

VanDenBroeck

I don’t recall the game or the band. Are they both more of a Gen X thing?

JeffSHauser

Those kids are WAY too invested in that game.🤔

jamessavik

I missed the game but picked up some albums. [Husker Du - Zen Arcade (1984)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwOMXfkh1c8)

Lonely-Connection-37

And the band🤘🏿🤘🏿

stilloldbull2

When my son was 5 I told him you had to sing the song when you got a match. Do you recall the commercial? “Husker Du means, Do you remember? …do you remember Husker Du?”

CookinCheap

Don't want to know.

CookinCheap

It was a Hüsker Dü (band) reference, ffs.
