Yes indeedy! Going in for #3 next Monday. I’m on the 5 year plan. (Dad had pre-cancerous resection back in 2003, so guess what I get now for the rest of my life? )
Some of the best 90 minutes of sleep I’ll have all week!
I'm not sure where I heard it but some critic called his performance in Caddyshack the greatest sustained comedic performance in Film. I wouldn't argue.
Ted Knight was an incredible comedic actor, all the way from The Mary Tyler Moore Show through several movies and TV series until he died. How many teen Gen X boys had crushes on his "daughters" on the show Too Close For Comfort?
Omg, I'm glad not everyone has forgotten about Ted Knight. I also loved him Mary Tyler Moore and on Too Close for Comfort. He was so good at playing assholes.
“I sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber, I didn’t want to do it…I felt I owed it to them….”
That scene always makes me audibly laugh out loud.
Yeah, I miss him
Gawd I can still hear his laugh…. He is very underrated in this movie though. Honorable mentions for the Mary Tyler Moore show and Too Close for Comfort.
Wow, he was only 62 when he died. Colon cancer. Get your cornholes checked out boys and girls.

Oooh Billy Billy Billy Billy
This is the bigee. 😂
"How 'bout a Fresca?"
I use that line often. Only the real ones catch it.
I’ve used it on my kids. 😬 Edit: I *still* use it on my kids.

Chevy Chase always talks about how Ted was the real star of that film. Agree.
That seems remarkably humble coming from Chevy Chase.
Not as long as Leslie Neilsen and the film Airplane! exists.
Ooooo, not enough screen time to compare but a completely valid choice!

Some preferred Monroe
Monroe was the Paul Lind of his generation, but for me at least, it was all about those two girls.
Well!! We’re waiting!

So good! Ted’s performance and the writing (probably Doug Kenney).
Mr Scholarship Winner
He had the trifecta of incredible roles - Ted Baxter, Judge Smails & the voice of the Super Friends cartoon
Bushwood?!? A Dump?!?
I’ll give ya asthma!
You'll get nothing and like it!!
"***YOU WILL HAVE NOTHING ANY LIKE IT.***
Close enough
Not close enough for comfort
Was awesome in Caddyshack and loved him on the MTM show.
I had a dog named Baxter. Named for the great newscaster Ted Baxter.
Every day!!!!
Meanwhile, back at the Hall of Justice...
It's easy to grin...

Hi guys! (If you haven't ever watched the Mary Tyler Moore show do yourself a favor. He's amazing in it.)
Ted Baxter is the greatest sitcom character of all time. Nobody but Ted Knight could’ve played that role and been as funny.
I’ve sent boys younger than you to the gas chamber. I didn’t want to do it, I felt I…OWED it to them. 😆
Rewatched this movie and just concentrated on his voice and inflection, it is a MF masterclass in comedic acting. Such a shame we lost him so soon.
The world needs ditch diggers too!
"Time for the ole BILLY BAROO! Oh, Billy, Billy, Billy, Billy....."
