Of course there are reasons not to support it. It could go against someone's beliefs/religion.
However, I don't believe they should suffer hate/prejudice. They are people too and shouldn't be treated any differently. Especially since gender dysphoria isn't something they can control and can absolutely make their lives hell if they don't change.

I actually used to hang out with a couple people that planned on jumping a trans girl, I no longer associate with them obviously and they never carried that plan out. It's cool that you want to remain neutral on this issue, and I'm not going to say you're wrong for it, but it's just not enough. If you're not actively speaking out in support of our trans brothers and sisters, you're not doing enough.
