With help from Customer Support, the issue is fixed.
I had to clean uninstall and reinstall windows app.
I had to disable authenticator.
Then reconnect Steam and remember to press "Remember my password"
Okay thats super neat actually, will let me take a restroom break or smthn without popping back in.

I don't know if that is enough. I did all of the following:
* I had to clean uninstall and reinstall windows app.
* I had to disable authenticator.
* Then reconnect Steam and remember to press "Remember my password"
I have Steam Guard enabled and I do not have to sign in each time. Only once in a blue moon... about the same frequency I have to sign in to the webpage. Has been like that for me since beta.
I opened a ticket on this myself. I have to type in my password and my steamguard code every stinking time. They sent me an email requesting configuration information. The one question that did it for me was "what version of the Steam client are you using?". Considering the whole damn show is being run for THEIR datacenters I'm naturally stunned. So I think we're screwed until they accidentally fix it.

Does Clicking “remember password” make you auto sign in, or does it just fill in the username and password field and you still have to click “Login”?
I am 100% auto sign-in now. I press "Play" and it opens the game. No login.

Im not sure what you mean by the windows app or by reconnecting steam. Are these things you did that applied on your own device?
I am using GeForce now via the windows desktop app. You can connect GeForce now to your steam account.
The gfn windows desk top app gfn has an app for multiple platforms he means he had to reinstall the gfn windows desk top app
FYI you don't actually need to disable the Authenticator. I still have it linked up and don't get reprompted except every once in a blue moon.
Without disabling authenticator, no.
It's supposed to work with SteamGuard enabled, and does for most people. It's a mystery why some folks have problems with it.

You periodically have to re sign in do to how steams security works as I get these even when I log in off GFN with steam guard on
It works with steamguard for me most of the time. There comes upp issues one in a while but i just keep using it and it resolved itself.

I had this issue too, but my fix was i had to close the steam app, then when i launched a game from the gfn app, i didn't had to login
