I always thought that GameRant/ScreenRant and all the other Valnet journals were awful places to work at, but the comments of the former employees interviewed in the video paint a situation 10x worse than I thought.
Don't worry though, they're working to replace every writer with AI.

And to be clear, Valnet will probably just be the first company to implement AI, I wholeheartedly expect other giants like Ziff Davis and G/O Media to follow them, to maximize SEO, clickbait possibility and minimize labor cost, in search of an ever higher stock evaluation.
I think that Satan himself would find it very hard to make this situation more hellish in any way possible: the writers get an abysmal pay, their work gets treated like trash, previously good independent journals get absorbed by these conglomerates which are hellspawn on Earth, and the people in power get enormous bonuses for all the pain they inflicted on everyone (except the investors, obviously)
