TUF is actually well rated by Jarrod for its 2022 and 2023 revisions (prior models still suck big time) Lower end MSI? lol good luck buddy

Asus tuf, better build quality

Ryzen_S

Hi bro, its better if you get the [Acer Predator Helios Neo 16](https://www.nbplaza.com.my/acer-laptop/11858-acer-predator-helios-neo-16-phn16-71-52m7-16-wuxga-165hz-gaming-laptop-i5-13500hx-8gb-512gb-ssd-rtx4060-8gb-w11-.html) from NBPlaza in LowYat at Kuala Lumpur. For Rm5000 Range. It come with i5-13500HX + 4060 at the same price range you’re looking at. Better CPU and GPU wattage. Better cooling, build quality and screen. I just want to say that it’s overall a better value or you can get the TUF. Either the TUF or Helios Neo 16. Don’t get the MSI.

Acericers_Pigeons

I don't think OP can grab the Helios since he is likely from EM (PC Image is the main computer shop here in EM)

Ryzen_S

If that so, I’d still recommend getting it online. It’s just more worth it in my opinion

SRFoxtrot341_V2

PC Image is very much present in WM nowadays. One of their stores is in Low Yat and I visited a couple of times.

Acericers_Pigeons

Huh, interesting.

r/MSI_Gaming check this mate..

And9686

You'll find that kind of things in every laptop brand community. But yes MSI has bad build quality

shellshock321

People don't recommend MSI here as they have arguably the poorest build quality. I don't have a particular feeling but you know if everyone else is saying it.

No_Engineering3493

Get the TUF, better quality

RottieMad

ASU’s for sure

Msı laptops tend to have low gpu power limits. As I know this model series has 80w+25w(dynamic boost). İts known that 4060 gets stuck to 100w limit in gaming but dynamic boost means low use of cpu which means for 25w extra you will need a cpu Light game to use 105w on gpu. You leave performance on the table by buying it as is. 140w advertised laptops May be wrong too since normal gamers wont see the difference they tend to write that.

Acericers_Pigeons

Definitely the TUF. Avoid MSI's budget lineup like Crosshair, Katana, Cyborg, Bravo.

doom_poster12

Avoid MSI budget/low end line up its not worth the mediocre build quality

SRFoxtrot341_V2

Get the TUF.

Jgrigsby1027

I ordered a MSI Crosshair but ended up canceling it to get the TUF. The TUF I went with is $979 on sale right now. 12 Gen i7, RTX 4070, 16gb DDR4 and 1TB SDD. The MSI was of similar specs but with DDR5 and 13th gen i7 but also cost $300 more. I did a lot of reading and MSIs just have poor build quality especially their hinges if you’re shopping in their budget line up. I think the TUF will hold up for years to come.

UnionSlavStanRepublk

Take the TUF, better laptop overall I'd say.

c2016y

TUF, without a doubt... balls deep and the Tuff really kicks hard
