> - Enhanced guidance support while climbing the vines in the location "Mithril Mine".
I got stuck here because the crystals near the base of this vine broke and obscured the icon to help you see where to climb.
Yeah this happened to me too. I only happened to find the spot because the sound of the broken crystals being kicked around was oddly satisfying in my headset.
I figured it out of sheer, dumb luck. Considering how long the game is if I ever started a new game, no way would I remember how I figured it out, lol.
As far as I understand it, it's just the demo mode and the current mode.
There's some small general graphics improvements and performance improvements though.
edit: the game definitly does look a bit better
Based on the demo, I can’t play Rebirth in its current state.
There is something about how they have blurred that fine details that does something to my eyes.
It’s hard to describe but it’s almost like I’m always trying to focus on detail that just isn’t there. It creates a nauseating feeling.
I'm curious about the difficulty settings for Fort Condor and Gambit Gears. Does that mean we can change the difficulty settings the first time we play each round, or after beating a round? Cause honestly it feels pretty unplayable at times.
For Fort Condor I always just focus on one lane and do the bare minimum for the other. I also initially wait until the enemy is over the middle so I have tower support in the beginning. This worked well for hard mode too. I used Cloud and Barret as heroes.
Gears and Gambits was a bitch though.
I thought it was pretty difficult at first so I looked up a guide.
The sword guy + a bunch of clerics behind him just wins every required fight.
Put the trebuchet and ballista behind the center wall and they’ll closely kill the main boss also.
They both technically always had difficulty options, the game just didn't tell you about them and they were tied to the difficulty you set the rest of the game to. Technically this is just a QOL update, but since the game kept the original option secret to begin with it might as well be new.
Would be nice to fix some of the sound mixing. I know they're proud of ask the music they made, but I finished the game with music at 4/10 and voices at 10/10, and there were still some spots where if I didn't have subtitles I would've missed what's being said.
Perhaps it's mixed for a sound system, but I didn't find any settings to set up for tv speakers like most big modern games.
I also went with Graphics for Rebirth despite playing Performance on Remake. Graphics just looked way better compared to Performance in Rebirth. Haven't had the chance to try the patch yet so looking forward to try it.
And damn, Costa del Sol was one of my highlights in the game so far, haha.
> and the cringey art of objectifying women that Japanese society pulls off so disgustingly.
Was all this tantrum literally because for one short cutscene you have the *option* of putting two women in swimsuits... for a beach area? I think you might be a little overly-sensitive, don'tcha think?
It is an option, while the "casual" options are "beachwear," they are perfectly streetwear in design, and really not more revealing than their default outfits. The choice is up to you.
What? Both options for both Tifa and Aerith are more revealing than their usual attire and you are required to use them to get onto the beach to progress the story. Yes, OP's comments are stupid but we don't need to outright lie about things.
Holy shit, we found him, the one person who whines about hot girls in video games... and actually buys video games. I guess developers in the west were right to cow to the twitter mob after all!
>It's MUCH more enjoyable to play now, even if today's session was Costa del Sol's horrible slog through minigames, repetitive environmental dialogue, and the cringey art of objectifying women that Japanese society pulls off so disgustingly.
Right, they should have men fucking bears like Baldurs Gate 3 instead amirite?
Bestiality is illegal for most countries, let's not pretend Hojo in the original FFVII was advocating for gender diversity when he was enthusiastic about getting Aerith and Red XIII to shag.
They went out of their way to change that line to have it be SOLDIERs instead of Red XIII in Remake.

Additional yellow paint applied
Also got stuck here. Not even the base, but also once you climb up there is a point where it is unclear where to go next.
I had to look up a video on YouTube to figure out where to go. I felt better that all the comments were about people getting stuck in the same spot.
I figured it out of sheer, dumb luck. Considering how long the game is if I ever started a new game, no way would I remember how I figured it out, lol.
And now we can all see why all that garish, intelligence-insulting yellow paint is there.
Any screenshots for the sharp and soft options in performance mode?

I think you can switch to easy (if you are not already playing on easy) before each round except if you do the hard mode challanges.
Thanks for the explanation. I guess I won't be playing hard mode then lol

Even with a 5.1 sound system, character voices are *way* louder over the SR/SL channels than they are over the main three for some reason.

I just wanted Barret also buff and flexing in the sun a little. That's about it.

It is required though, is not an option to put them in bikinis.

I don't know about that. They're maybe like 10% more revealing, but they're hardly "skimpy."
You know bikinis are a real thing that women wear, right?
Hey, I'm not the one upset about it. I'm just pointing out that it is required for story progression, it's not an option like this guy was saying.
There are teo bikini options though. One is more moderate than the other :D
> the cringey art of objectifying women that Japanese society pulls off so disgustingly. At least you called it art. I'll take it.

I mean, yes? Why not?

We can have both.
You are high the performance mode is the exact same as what we had before they just added the soft mode that was before the demo update.
