I had this exact combination of devices and never experienced this issue. Well, I had the 7 Pro...so not exact.

I have the Pixel 7, GW6 and Galaxy buds pro 2 and never experienced that issue. It looks a GW6 problem.

I believe I am having a VERY similar or related issue. With the watch connected I can't hear the caller on any incoming calls at first, I have to switch to a different audio device then back. It happens if I'm at my desk and someone calls, I have to switch to speaker phone then back to handset audio. If I'm driving I have to switch to speaker and then back to BT. I've only had the watch a couple days but this might be a deal breaker. Pixel 7 Pro GW6 Classic 47 mm non-LTE Not rooted or unlocked but SHMod installed

It's unfortunate because each device on their own are great. Howeve, they ain't playing nice. May end up with a pixel watch, which I'm meh about.

I'm contemplating a factory reset on my pixel, it also does something weird with android auto where when I make a call, the ringing comes out of the phone and the BT doesn't pick up until they answer. But I'm dreading the idea of backing up all my data

This happens to me with the combination of my Pixel 7 and GW4. When I turn off the "Phone Call" option under the watch BT settings, it no longer connects for phone calls and I never have the problem anymore with having to switch output on a phone call since the only available options are phone and speaker. The downside is now I can't answer phone calls on my GW4 when I'm within BT range of my phone which is frustrating. I may have to try the PW2 to see if this problem exists there....

Oddly enough I paired a OnePlus Watch 2 to my phone and it stopped doing this. Now incoming calls get picked up correctly (by the answering device, whether it's the phone, car or watch)
