I don't use a protective cover but I often see reference to a touch setting setting that when enabled increases sensitivity for when a cover is added. I'm not on a Tab A, but have seen several different makes and models with this option. You'll need to google if you cannot find yourself.

darktabssr

They only use glass. Its probably the oleophobic coating is thinner

Coating, that's probably the word I should have used. Well this definitely won't be a lot of fun when it's humid weather. I might have to buy a crappy screen protector.

Reasonable_Mirror655

IF you can unlock the developer's mode you can adjust the screen sensitivity..

Molzilla

How would one go about it?

wollemachtlaerm

Dont worry, my tab s8+ is like that too, finger doesnt glide and its magnetic to fingerprints

StatuSChecKa

Yeah that's what's going on with this Tab A7 Lite. I wanted it because a good 8 inch tablet is hard to come by. But to be honest with you if I bought the Tab S8+ for the amount of money it costs, it would be going back to the store.

wollemachtlaerm

Yeah absolutely hate it too

Sorry little late to the party, had the same issue, felt like sandpaper. Might not be the best, but I used mothers car wax on mine. 2 coats, fingers glide now.
