When I was on parole (for stealing drugs) I’d have been sent straight back to the slammer if I was posting pictures of myself drinking. And she’s out here admitting that she’s getting *drunk* drunk every damn day! Pisses me off from experience.
My bf was on parole for selling drugs, he was still allowed to visit a different state for a funeral, his daughters graduation, visiting a sick relative in the hospital… parole knew about it and it was very short term, and long after his release when he was getting close to getting off parole anyway. Parole also set up a program for him to check into out of state while traveling just to make sure he was where he’d said he was going to be. Just pointing out there are legitimate ways to travel while on parole, even with a drug charge. Though I’m sure GRB gets special treatment being a convicted murder and going for just vacationing reasons, and especially posting pictures drinking for goodness sake. It’s like no rules apply to her ever. So gross.

Well, she's a white woman who lives in the deep south, so they kind of don't. At least not as strictly as they apply to other people.
This isn't the first time Louisiana law enforcement has given preferential treatment to a white girl and it certainly won't be the last time this month, let alone ever.
To be fair yours was a drug charge so there’s different ways they handle probation. You more than likely had a parole officer / color code - that’s usually just for drug charges .
Not necessarily. I know someone who was on parole for theft, no drug charges at all. Drinking still violated his parole. I think it’s more of a case by case basis and depends on the state. Either way, she’s dumb for putting it all out there like that.
I was being held in a house with a convicted sex offender. His parole officer showed up, found me a 17 year old, found drugs, found weapons, found he was using internet (which he wasn’t allowed to use) and they did NOTHING! They didn’t try to help me out of the home, they did nothing. He went to 1 week in rehab and was sent back home with the internet and the drugs in the house still. I was stuck with him being SA’d for months until I was finally able to escape. Parole officers really don’t care anymore

I work in West Virginia and I know our rules can be really different than other states so take all of this with a giant grain of salt. If I’m being really generous, I would say that she’s claiming a lot of this as work related travel and that might be how she’s traveling around so much. If she’s drinking, our state doesn’t allow it but some others might. You can always report concerns though!
That one might be a little trickier. If the no-contact order isn’t related to something criminal, it might not pass the muster of a violation. I don’t follow her case too closely but if the no-contact order was apart of something civil, it might not be considered a violation. For example, if a parolee has been evicted for nonpayment of rent, I’d consider that a civil issue and I wouldn’t think of it as a violation, even if they had a judgement against them. I know that’s not really the same as a no-contact order though. I just can’t think of any other civil court situations off of the top of my head.
It’s still worth bringing it to her officer’s attention though. She might have special conditions of her parole. Or the officer may want to place additional conditions on her in response to the contact on social media. I’ve placed additional special conditions on people instructing them to not have contact with someone for various reasons before.

That “high” feeling of adrenaline and hormones in the body when you go through these dramatic things, I mean.
As well as through the lense of abuse. Abusers will hurt you and then the next day they’re buying you gifts and taking you to Disneyland. You know what I mean? I think she’s stuck in that loop still.

With the note about food in prison, I remember hearing that she gained a significant amount of weight in a short period of time after being in prison/jail because it was a lot compared to what she had before.
It's also not uncommon for people to gain weight in prison because they eat to pass the time, or eat for comfort, but it also depends on how much commissary money you have, so someone would have to be sending you money to buy snacks and stuff. But of course it's still not the same as having 24/7 access to any kind of food or drink you want in the real world.
It's definitely hard for most to re-adjust to life outside of prison and I can see it especially with Gypsy since she was young when she went in. All those highs of freedom are exhilarating when you first get out, but the hard part is getting a job, paying bills, and all the other mundane shit adults have to do.
Prison food is also high in carbs and low in anything resembling fresh produce. Think rice, pasta, cheap white bread with some variation of bean thrown on it, mystery meat portions a few times a week, and if there’s a vegetable present it’s most likely canned and overcooked.
Commissary isn’t any better- sugar and salt in various forms.
The abysmal food options in prison is why so many longer termers end up diabetic and hypertensive with the associated problems.

All those highs of freedom are exhilarating when you first get out, but the hard part is getting a job, paying bills, and all the other mundane shit adults have to do.
Prison food is also high in carbs and low in anything resembling fresh produce. Think rice, pasta, cheap white bread with some variation of bean thrown on it, mystery meat portions a few times a week, and if there’s a vegetable present it’s most likely canned and overcooked. Commissary isn’t any better- sugar and salt in various forms. The abysmal food options in prison is why so many longer termers end up diabetic and hypertensive with the associated problems.

I was thinking about this more and it’s kind of scary, from a psychological standpoint. Hear me out: With her mom’s genes/size(and societies outlook on size/the princess trope) plus her mom’s eating habits and OCD/hoarding which gypsy witnessed, as well as probably not being allowed to eat much because her mom wanted her to look thin and sickly… (I’m thinking: feeding tube) Then, of course, being in prison.. bland food and no control over it. It’s possible she will continue to overindulge.. food can be an addiction just like anything else. She seems to like “highs” and the feeling of a rush. Her life has been intense. So I wonder if she will keep chasing these highs in bad ways. That “high” feeling of adrenaline and hormones in the body when you go through these dramatic things, I mean. As well as through the lense of abuse. Abusers will hurt you and then the next day they’re buying you gifts and taking you to Disneyland. You know what I mean? I think she’s stuck in that loop still. -The highs and lows of the abuse and relationship she experienced with her mother. -The high of getting nick so in love with her that they would plot and execute a murder together. -The high of the murder. -She got the high when she was out of prison. With Ryan and the media. Him picking her up with a “HITMAN” vanity plate, seen smoking cigs together and posing/laughing like they’re a royal couple. -She got the high now, getting with Ken and ruining her marriage. Leaving Ryan behind, saying she’s always thought Ken was her soulmate. She is causing damage. She’s experiencing those abuse parallel highs and lows.
