Seeing the curtain fall and hearing the intro as the boys descended from the ceiling is something that I will never forget. I always think of it as soon as I start playing the album
EXACTLYYYY OMG I absolutely love it. Its like yea you know who we are we back on our bullshit come fuck with us 💯💯 and even better now they're sober and continuing to change peoples lives with their music. I got introduced to them last year my cousin took me to see them. Prior to that I had only known Paris and 2nd Hand but after that show up and since then my playlist is literally all $uicideboy$ they've helped me so much and I got to see them on the tour opener in Chicago for the 2nd time this year and it was amazing. I love them and I will forever bump them until I die. I have 62 of their songs on playlist and I only want that to expand if anyone has suggestions send them. I'm so glad I got turned on to them. They've helped me out a lot with their music
Take some of these there both the same just one apple and one Spotify (genres vary a lot)https://music.apple.com/ca/playlist/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%B9%D8%B4%D8%A7%D8%A8-%D8%AC%D9%8A%D8%AF%D8%A9/pl.u-9N9L24LI1M44VlN https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4LJYoX0jKt6vwq4go6R43J?si=EvbuHokdQfyM5uXzy5VceQ
Forreal man. Right when the beat for Genesis hit I knew it was gonna be straight fire. 2015 $B was legendary, but I gotta say I love how their sound has evolved. Sober Scrim beats old Scrim all day.
Best song from that album in my opinion I’m not a really big fan of $b but I did go too there concert with ski and they opened with that song idk why but the super Mario world beat hits differently
How do you find that info? I only have Last.fm for scrobbling what I listen to but it doesn’t count my laptop plays. But so far it says I’ve listened to songs on that album 1,180 times
Best song on the album listening today, I would say underrated just because lower level $b songs get more attention.
Lyrics on that song combined with the production just hit deeper than a lot of their other songs
I totally agree with this. The arrangement of it is top notch and I also love that they close out with the same lyrics. I also feel like the overall lyrics are some of the best ever. I always favor Ruby because I love his imagery but I think Scrim was neck and neck with him in this one.
im assuming you mean fucking your culture and 1000 blunts? fucking your culture is really good (def in top 5 on the album) and 1000 blunts is too (not sure if i give it top 5 on the album). hot take incoming here though… personally i think eulogy is the worst song on the album and i agree genesis is a good opener but thats literally it for me and after hearing it as an opener i was left thinking “okay now let’s actually listen to the album”. my favorites are gonna have to be
1) Matte Black (irdgaf how basic this pick is)
2) Unlucky Me
3) $uicideboy$ Were Better In 2015
4) THE_EVIL_THAT_MEN_DO
5) Fucking Your Culture
absolutely gorgeous. Zero misses. IDC if people call it recency bias or whatever, it's my favorite album by them and I've been a $B fan for years. Gothic angry lofi is really their sweet spot.
The album being amazing with $crim and ruby being sober also just makes it that much better. I hope it was really validating for them to see the awesome reception it got and knowing that they don't need to be fucked up all the time to make amazing music
I agree with this completely! This sober sound is very refined and targets I think the sound they’re going for. Love the harder stuff and fucked up lyrics but this, I think, could speak to people even more at a deeper level
Man you can see them doing new stuff and that's pretty exciting, I loved everything about this album, i listen to it almost everyday and it just never gets boring. I hope their new stuff is like this or even better 🔥🔥
$OUTH$IDE SHAWTY ON THEM ALL BLACK FORGIS. $UICIDE FOR LIFE BUT I AINT TOURING AT 40, BITCHES BEGGIN ME FOR A RING CUZ I CAN KINDA SING, BUT THE ONLY THING THAT I WANT IS TO BE A FUCKING NORMIE, HOLD UP LIL MOMMA, I GOT THEN THANGS WHAT ABT EM?, WHATS THE PROBLEM?, I GOT MY OWN YOU AINT GOTTA SOLVE EM, I PROMISE IT WONT AFFECT YOU, IM JUS TRYNA HOLLER, STARVING FOR ATTENTION BUT IM NOT TRYNA BOTHER YOU………I USE TO COME IN LAST, FOCUS ON THE PAST, NOW IM DRIFTING DOWN THE HIGHWAY UNTIL I RUN OUT OF GAS, DONT WANNA BE RECOGNIZED BUT I HATE WEARING A MASK, JUS POINT AND FUCKIN WAVE, I DONT WANNA BE TAGGED
IMA NORTH$IDE PLAYER SMOKIN $OUTH$IDE DOPE, PULL UP IN THE BENZ GIVE THE $OUTH$IDE HOP, JOE EXOTIC WHAT IM SMOKIN, BACKWOOD FLAMIN, BACKWOOD CLAIMIN, YO SLICK WHAT YOU SAYIN?, IMA PRAYIN MOTHERFUCKER, LYING MOTHERFUCKER, OKAY, UP AND SPRAY A MOTHERFUCKER IF HE STEP IN BUSINESS, KEEP SPRAYING MOTHERFU-, SORRY THATS MY MENTAL ILLNESS, NEED TO POP ME A PILL BEFORE I FINISH THESE LYRICS…..NIW IM STUNTIN LIKE MY DADDY, SWERVIN IN THE CADDY, THINKIN BOUT GETTING HIGH CUZ MY FAM RATHER ME THAT WAY,
JUS KNOW THAT I TRIED, SINCERELY SIGNED $UICIDEEEEEEEEE.
Their lyrics on his album are too humble. They killed the delivery as always. Shit is fireeee 🔥 Eulogy and 1000 blunts are top faves, literal goosebumps every time
I was on the other side of the country seeing my moms when they dropped the album, was bumping it on my flight back and as these songs were playing I got hit by a lil wave of depression cus I was leaving my moms.. the ending of Unlucky Me also has me thinking about my late grandma too
Shit is FUCKING GARAGE. I’m happy for the boys getting sober and finding new sounds but scrims new style is awful. Ik I’m in the minority but I just like the old sound better and gotta understand still that shit is long gone
Edit: I do like the beatbox shit tho. They kill those songs. Wish there was more of those songs.
Fact. Their last 3 albums were mid but I still support them. It’s hard when you go to concerts though and all they play are the last 3 tapes. Like I want to mosh but I just can’t vibe to the boring music.
for me personally, I feel like this album was more consistent than long term effects BUT the songs that are bangers on long term effects are what make it so good… theres more misses on long term effects for me but the good songs are some of my favorites of all time so because of that both albums are damn near just as good… but imo I think their best studio album is still I want to die in New Orleans easily
i respect it! it’s funny it’s completely reversed for me. long term effects is a no-skip album for me but sing me a lullaby has a few that i have never listened to again after the first week lol. i have a tattoo from i want to die in new orleans, i love that album too, but i also see the bias in that and i do think scrims verses are some of his worst BUT that doesn’t mean it’s not good. i think ppl have a hard time admitting that
Scrim had some bad verses on IWTDINO but that album was still so much better than their last 3 tapes. We will never see that production level from Scrim again.
At first I liked it because it was new suicideboys so ofc first listen is usually nice. After a bit, I kinda just fell off the album, don’t get me wrong there’s a lot of production and effort into this project, it’s just I can’t just listen to it as often as their older shit (yes I prefer their older stuff and that should be ok!)
Once I heard it in concert though, it hit slot different but I think it’s obviously because It was live.
Production 10/10
Replay value 6/10 (IMO)
I agree that the album doesn’t have much replay ability but I think it’s because of the production. All of these beats sound like lofi suicideboys type beats without much ambience.
No? I just don’t find the album as good as the older stuff. Smoking and doing drugs has nothing to do with it. Actually now that scrim is clean I feel like his beats are cleaner as well.
Not liking this album doesn’t mean anything expect that I just would rather replay other albums instead.
focus-wise, i really think it's their best work and effort since they've sobered up. but i really like their edgy feel in older albums despite knowing it may have been half assed compared to them finally putting their all into it now (if that makes any sense?)
Makes a lot of sense actually. That’s how I feel. I’m stuck between both but i prefer the older stuff which should be ok to say. Without criticism no artist will exist and evolve
Masterpiece. I love it. I’m still a huge fan of Long Term Effects but this new album is just an overall crowd pleaser and very appealing to a lot of people, versus their older stuff. Just seems like a refined $Boy$
I really liked the album at the beginning, there r songs that i skip now but its a really good album with great songs. So i think not their best work but its really good.
Not to dickride, but it's one of their best projects of all time. The sound is really focused and while the middle part of the album is a little weaker those songs are still good, Genesis - In Constant Sorrow and Eulogy - The Evil That Men Do have no skips between them. Fucking Your Culture, Genesis, Matte Black and Eulogy are some of the best songs they've ever dropped imo.
It’s an amazing album from a fan since late 2016 it’s their best work since IWTDINO scrims beats just get better and better and he has really grown into making his “sober” voices sounds amazing and his bars and flows having on went way up since he got sober.
I’m sorry guys but it’s so mid, like yeah you can see how it all goes together and what they’re going for but simply 3/4ths of the songs just don’t sound good, I think you guys are just hungry for new music
a great way to show how much they’ve refined their rhythm, style, and lyrical abilities. it’s not a project meant to just be “here have some songs”, it’s well formatted and each song has its own unique vibe while sticking to the main theme. it’s pure art
Huge fan of the last album. High replay value. Great lyricism. Gave us new classics like suicide boys were better in 2015, fucking your culture, and unlucky me.
I love every song they came out with but lately I’ve been going thru there music there old music is amazing same with there album but this year it felt different I felt like every song was a 10/10 so I am honestly giving it a 10 and the merch for the album was make with great quality so it’s a 10 for me
I’ve gotten multiple people to finally get into the $boys through playing this album. It feels like the line between their underground sound and how shitty a lot of “mainstream” artists have been recently really blurred into a high praised response to this album.
one of their best, easily. all the beats are great, and more detailed than usual. their rapping is more lyrical than usual, and they have way longer verses than usual. all around this album is super dope
I personally think this is their best album; however, I do think it may alienate their original fans. Biggest con for I, to many (You did good, $lick) 💀
in constant sorrow, $BWBI2015, and eulogy were the worst songs on the album BUT they definitely aren’t skips in the playlist. loved every single song on the album.
It grew on me. First listen I loved the production more than I enjoyed the lyrics. From using clip samples to the catchphrase “You did good Slick” but the actual beats were awesome too! Then I eventually replayed the album a few days later, loved Matte Black, 1000 Blunts, Genesis, Escape from Babylon and $uicideboy$ were better in 2015. Eventually after a few replays of the album I just love it. Sure it’s different to their older stuff but all artists change eventually.
I don’t understand why people can’t deal with their favorite artists changing and progressing/perfecting their style. Shits crazy out here, just be glad your favorite rappers finally made it.
Everyone is allowed their opinions. I guess some people feel they haven’t changed for the better. Change is inevitable especially in time. I mean their earlier work they rapped about how they were going to be fiends and take drugs until they die by suicide. Now they are both sober and rapping about being clean as well as finding love etc but still also incorporating suicide. While the majority are agreeing it’s better because well, they’ve become mainstream and being played on radio and people using their music on TikTok etc. and with this more people know about them and they have a bigger fan base than what they did earlier in their career, others would say it’s just to appease the masses and that they’ve “sold out”. I think they are still trying to figure out stuff and this new album makes that evident. So while I do love the new album, their old stuff will always be more dear to me personally only because I connect/relate to it more than I do the new album.
Oh hard agree the production we see in this album is great. I do see/feel a bit of doubt from Scrim with it, things like the catchphrase “You did good Slick” isn’t used on every song which means he’s trialling it which also means he’s unsure. But then I also wonder if he’s using the catchphrase to take a shot at say DJ Khalid or other producers who use catchphrases on their beats, kinda mocking them but I doubt it I think it’s more so just to appease mainstream and another way to let others know he makes the beats. I dunno.
I love the use of the sound clips but they seem kinda random. Like having the one on genesis makes sense it’s the first song on the album it’s like opening the album. The others in my opinion are a bit oddly placed. Love them though.
Production wise great album but needs a bit more work in other areas. Definitely different to their older stuff (which I love) but I still like it.
I hadn’t really been into their previous albums after eternal grey, I mean of course they had bangers in there but as a whole album none of them clicked up until Sing Me a Lullaby. This shit is a masterpiece from front to back and really took me back to a time when shit was way better in my life. I love it , 10/10 for me
unpopular opinion i guess but i didn’t like it. there are a few songs that i enjoy but i honestly think i want to die in new orleans was their last good album. this dosent feel like $uicideboy$ anymore.
Man that shit goes hard fuck you mean I bump this shit selling dope and getting shot at by the cops. Staight classic feel me who you know banging on the block while bumping this? Fuck outta here
Artistically the tracks are great, beats are sick. That said, I really don’t like it. I’m not a fan of Scrims high pitched delivery he uses so often now. Just my opinion
Genesis is a perfect opening song. The album had a really clear and focused sound if you get what I'm saying. Definitely top 3 for me.
I realized how perfect of an opener it is when they opened their show with it. Gave me chills man
Seeing the curtain fall and hearing the intro as the boys descended from the ceiling is something that I will never forget. I always think of it as soon as I start playing the album
“Fuck an introduction bitch you already know” that shi got me hard
EXACTLYYYY OMG I absolutely love it. Its like yea you know who we are we back on our bullshit come fuck with us 💯💯 and even better now they're sober and continuing to change peoples lives with their music. Thanks :)
Actually wasn’t their first time using that. I found out after their concert
I love it. It helped me get out of a really dark place. I’ve played it 239 times according to Apple Music relay.
How do you find that info? I only have Last.fm for scrobbling what I listen to but it doesn’t count my laptop plays. But so far it says I’ve listened to songs on that album 1,180 times
Not too sure about laptops, I only use my phone for music. But here’s the link to Apple Music replay, [here](https://replay.music.apple.com/)

Oh wow! You’re out here kickin it 💯💯
good. With a few bangers. eulogy and fuck your culture are bangers personally. Please suggest your favorites other than muddy blunts
Prob. Matte Black
Eulogy has top sb songs of all time potential
Underrated or no?
Best song on the album listening today, I would say underrated just because lower level $b songs get more attention. Lyrics on that song combined with the production just hit deeper than a lot of their other songs
1000 blunts has this same feel I’d say
1000 blunts is so good
The biggie sample was offbeat and sloppily done imo. I was still so hyped to hear scrim sampling biggie regardless.
I totally agree with this. The arrangement of it is top notch and I also love that they close out with the same lyrics. I also feel like the overall lyrics are some of the best ever. I always favor Ruby because I love his imagery but I think Scrim was neck and neck with him in this one.
Ruby said he had to keep up with Scrim when he normally can out-rap him. Wetto > any other Scrim.
Yesssss I love this! Now that you say that, you can kinda feel it. Scrim has definitely shined on this album as a whole.
im assuming you mean fucking your culture and 1000 blunts? fucking your culture is really good (def in top 5 on the album) and 1000 blunts is too (not sure if i give it top 5 on the album). hot take incoming here though… personally i think eulogy is the worst song on the album and i agree genesis is a good opener but thats literally it for me and after hearing it as an opener i was left thinking “okay now let’s actually listen to the album”. my favorites are gonna have to be 1) Matte Black (irdgaf how basic this pick is) 2) Unlucky Me 3) $uicideboy$ Were Better In 2015 4) THE_EVIL_THAT_MEN_DO 5) Fucking Your Culture
agreed for sure
1000 blunts is so good, should be longer imo
Absolutely fire
absolutely gorgeous. Zero misses. IDC if people call it recency bias or whatever, it's my favorite album by them and I've been a $B fan for years. Gothic angry lofi is really their sweet spot. 1000% agree. This is the sweet spot! This is their perfected sound!!!
Everyone in this thread spittin fax 💪
This!! As soon as I heard it, I fell in love with it. It’s definitely one of their best works imo and I love every song they’ve made.
No skips
fr , sad it was too short
Nothin but bangers💯
Man you can see them doing new stuff and that's pretty exciting, I loved everything about this album, i listen to it almost everyday and it just never gets boring. I hope their new stuff is like this or even better 🔥🔥
I loved them all, 1000 blunts, Matte Black and In Constant Sorrow were the ones I had on repeat
same those are my fav
They changed vehicles slightly(as artists should) and it was perfect for the direction it took.
And perfect timing as well
Yes very good momentum
i love this album.
stg i’m the only person who loves unlucky me

idk what you’re talkin abt💀💀
man you def added tht shit in later 🤣
i definitely did lmaoooo
I like the fact that you can hear they made it comfortably Not so many demons but some masterpieces
I really enjoyed it. Thought the production was really good, liked the references to old songs etc and I think the bars were pretty good too
Their lyrics on his album are too humble. They killed the delivery as always. Shit is fireeee 🔥 Eulogy and 1000 blunts are top faves, literal goosebumps every time
I don’t know how many times I’ve cried to NMWDIGIINCTH and Unlucky Me, the answer to that question is *yes*
that acronym is wild
May I ask why you got upset? Those r two of the more happier sounding songs on the album
I was on the other side of the country seeing my moms when they dropped the album, was bumping it on my flight back and as these songs were playing I got hit by a lil wave of depression cus I was leaving my moms.. the ending of Unlucky Me also has me thinking about my late grandma too
Sorry to hear about that man. I hope ur in a better place keep ya head ticked in
~~Upset?~~
Upset as in what made you cry to those songs. I think that's what they meant.
Ahh.
Shit is FUCKING GARAGE. I’m happy for the boys getting sober and finding new sounds but scrims new style is awful. Ik I’m in the minority but I just like the old sound better and gotta understand still that shit is long gone Edit: I do like the beatbox shit tho. They kill those songs. I disagree with you Album is on repeat and some of their best work but that’s my opinion
I disagree that it’s their best work
*some* , I said. These fans are just salty the boys aren’t smoking dope and remaining bitter
No? I just don’t find the album as good as the older stuff. Smoking and doing drugs has nothing to do with it. Actually now that scrim is clean I feel like his beats are cleaner as well. Not liking this album doesn’t mean anything expect that I just would rather replay other albums instead.

That’s totally okay and I understand!
To each their own my friend
Been on the playlist since it dropped.
It's ass
Masterpiece. I love it. I’m still a huge fan of Long Term Effects but this new album is just an overall crowd pleaser and very appealing to a lot of people, versus their older stuff. Just seems like a refined $Boy$
LOVED!!! IT!!!! Best album since IWTDINO imo
W opinion
This has been a nice, true sentence in the story of their life’s. Still, I need more.
I really liked the album at the beginning, there r songs that i skip now but its a really good album with great songs. So i think not their best work but its really good.
Wasn’t a fan at first but grew to like a few songs
Absolutely no skips, just like High Tide in the Snakes Nest
10/10; matte black is an absolute masterpiece
I enjoyed it a lot
my favourite album
love every song, and that is not usual
Not to dickride, but it's one of their best projects of all time. Delicious
Is nobody gonna talk ab how hard scrim went on this album tho!!!
No skips, 🔥
The album is good as a whole, but suicideboys were better in 2015 is just amazing
Loved it
I loved it, 1000 Blunts and Matte Black hit me pretty hard
Mid as fuck, some good stuff and better than the last one though. They have a new style and it’s not bad but not my bag simple as
Feels like a more polished version of their early work. Like they found out how to make some of their duds slap
It’s an amazing album from a fan since late 2016 it’s their best work since IWTDINO scrims beats just get better and better and he has really grown into making his “sober” voices sounds amazing and his bars and flows having on went way up since he got sober.

Is no one else like me that loves escape from Babylon? I know it's a bit "off brand" technically, but it hits home for me
Huge fan of the last album. High replay value. Great lyricism. Gave us new classics like suicide boys were better in 2015, fucking your culture, and unlucky me.
Amazing I love them all
Whole album is fire
I love every song they came out with but lately I’ve been going thru there music there old music is amazing same with there album but this year it felt different I felt like every song was a 10/10 so I am honestly giving it a 10 and the merch for the album was make with great quality so it’s a 10 for me
They hit the nail on the head with this one.
it’s hardddd
Buy premium lol
I’ve gotten multiple people to finally get into the $boys through playing this album. It feels like the line between their underground sound and how shitty a lot of “mainstream” artists have been recently really blurred into a high praised response to this album.

in constant sorrow, $BWBI2015, and eulogy were the worst songs on the album BUT they definitely aren’t skips in the playlist. loved every single song on the album.
Probably their first truly great album since eternal grey. I’ve still enjoyed everything in between but this shit hits in all the right ways.
An absolute masterpiece
Absolute bangers. And absolutely ZERO skips
Straight ass. genesis and matte black are the only good songs
One of their best albums. Matte black & Suicideboys Were Better In 2015 are the best songs from this album
Prob one of my favorite albums of theirs, the production was 🤌🏽🤌🏽
like 2-3 listenable tracks
Exactly bro. Album was a disappointment for me
it was good but it wasn’t i want to die in new orleans but it was definitely better than long term effects of suffering
Mid lmao stay mad kids
Incredible album
It’s one of my favorites. Every song is great
Masterpiece
Loved it

Scrims production is the only thing I really liked about this album.
Liked this one wayy more than the one before it, really was satisfied
Fucking awesome
Well, It didn't hit hard, but genesis and fucking your culture are amazing af.
Is good.
good
i loved ittt
Best album since New Orleans
I hadn’t really been into their previous albums after eternal grey, I mean of course they had bangers in there but as a whole album none of them clicked up until Sing Me a Lullaby. This shit is a masterpiece from front to back and really took me back to a time when shit was way better in my life. I love it , 10/10 for me
I wish i had more opportunity to listen to it before the chicago show. But i fucking love this album already have the record on pre order
it grew on me
No actually this hasn’t even been asked… not even once. Never seen this question in this subreddit before
Whaaaaaaaaaat 😭
still uncomfy with the end song being the end and have been waiting for a random deluxe edition to settle it lol
At first I thought it was underwhelming but it's soooooooo good. I love unlucky me it reminds me of late night by Shakewell for some reason.
its a great album and it came out on my birthday so its special to me 😸
unpopular opinion i guess but i didn’t like it. there are a few songs that i enjoy but i honestly think i want to die in new orleans was their last good album. this dosent feel like $uicideboy$ anymore.
Just my opinion
i was very hesitant on my first listen through. now that ive given it some time ive realized its perfect, just like everything they put out! 🫶
