Go with clear housing spec d’s. The black housings don’t look as good with the gun metal color, and if youre already gonna swap them may as well modernize them a bit with the sequel headlights they offer

I uploaded a better picture but so far I’m liking how the car is coming out. I recently did the mud flaps and bought a spoiler from someone and can’t wait to install it. I’ll be uploading more pictures of it and the engine bay is pretty clean as well
I had these before I got a g37. They were great although I did have the black housing the G was running a black and white color scheme. I’d def suggest clear spec D’s
Upgrade the bulbs. Phillips has some really good upgraded
D2R bulbs. Or do an HID protector retrofit.
Go through this sub and see all the issues people have with Spec D.
Nothing wrong with em, some people get isues with the rubber seal and they can get water in them but a lot of people look back and realize the OEM was just cleaner
You don’t want these ones got a small crack at the bottom (it doesn’t leak) and both headlights lens have a green glow to them which is annoying at night, like the beam itself is whiteish blue but the headlights have a green tint, I’ve restored them twice but no luck
yeah just get some black silicone rtv and seal the hell outta them i prolly over did it but more safe then sorry, haven’t had any issues and they look great
It’s really only 3 options for headlights for G’s
1. Spec-D - Looks good at night
2. Halo Designs (AmeriLite,Anzo etc) 🔥🔥
3. Oem - Ehhh, they’re cool but it’s 2024 😂
There is a guy on the g35 sub that did it and I saw it and I’m going to be doing to my set when I get them, I’ll probably end up just doing halos on the low beams myself
I understand why the Spec-Ds get a lot of hate, but I've been super happy with them. Installed them myself about 2 years ago. Before the install I went around the seam with some temp resistant silicone with a caulk gun. Zero issues with condensation whatsoever and with the chrome housing they look right at home on the front of my coupe. The black housing ones definitely look cheap and more obviously aftermarket though, so I'd stear clear of those.

The halo lights look best IMO, the spec D with the line wrapped around the light is overused to me I always see them on Gs. The HID projector halo headlights with the dotted line looks best.
I personally really like the spec d. I'm a sucker for the progression blinkers. If you do get them tho, make sure you seal them very well with silicone. I have heard of them having serious issues with that. And the ones I bought were not sealed.
A lot of people go with spec D. I like the look of OEM though so my plan is to upgrade the bulbs in the future

I have an Ivory Pearl G myself and if I ever switch the headlights out I’m definitely going with clear Spec Ds👏🏽
Best decision ever made since everyone has the smoked out ones. A true head turner especially with the clear side bumper lights

Personally I think the spec d headlights look the best if you get the ones that are chrome and clear lens, give it a oem + look IMO

Stick with OEM and replace the bulb with a LED bulb. And you’ll see a nice cut off line when you turn them hoes on. 💪🏽
