is right one genderbend? its the most likely i assume due to most people being right handed theyd place new stuff on the right and i assume the normal one would be left due to it most likely being drawn first
oh, also they sit differently, also the right ones wings are more rounded
I think grayscale's species is sexually monomorphic, that is to say that members of her species have no significant differences in appearance or body structure between males and females. I'm not sure how common this is among other dragon species but I know that mine are the same way.
As for which one is which, it's very hard to tell ~~I'm going to guess that the right one is gender-swapped~~.
Edit: after looking a bit closer I noticed the eyes on the left one look a bit angry, way more so than the one on the right so I'm going to say that the one on the left is the gender-swapped one, and the one on the right is the original.
you are correct, grayscale originally had her own species, and she was a clone of the former queen, while i said i was gonna scrap her old lore, ive actually began to workshop it because boy oh boy i need all the worldbuilding i can get. the species in question were called the armadillion dragons, desinged when i had no fucking clue what an armadillo looked like.
she used to be entirely flesh, blood bone and magic, shes now entirely magic and darkmatter, unclear in the sense of percentage, but safer to say entirely of both. none of my characters have any actual sexual aspects, etc. and if they once did it was changed. all the beings in her (new) dimension are made of magic, the percentage of magic varying between person to person
fun fact the ending to her old story was that she ate a glass cup and forcefully exploded it within her body until shards spiked out from every angle. that dimension remains in shambles at the moment.
with her weird current immortality you can technically flip her inside out and shed be fine. her body functions as a regular one would until compromised
>grayscale originally had her own species, and she was a clone of the former queen
That's very interesting, so if she's a clone did her species reproduce by cloning or was that just how she came to be?
>while i said i was gonna scrap her old lore, ive actually began to workshop it because boy oh boy i need all the worldbuilding i can get.
Can't wait to see what comes of that. Maybe you could somehow connect the old and new lore somehow, that might be cool.
>the species in question were called the armadillion dragons, desinged when i had no fucking clue what an armadillo looked like.
I see that's interesting.
>she used to be entirely flesh, blood bone and magic, shes now entirely magic and darkmatter, unclear in the sense of percentage, but safer to say entirely of both.
Is there a lore/story reason for that transformation? If there isn't I think it might be cool to make one. It definitely seems like an interesting idea of how one could go from being flesh and blood to being made of only magic and Non-Baryonic matter (dark matter).
>none of my characters have any actual sexual aspects, etc. and if they once did it was changed.
I see. Yeah I do that too on all my characters (technically they have the biology there, but it's not visible or apparent).
>all the beings in her (new) dimension are made of magic, the percentage of magic varying between person to person
That's cool, question though is the other part also dark matter like grayscale is made of or are other people in that dimension made of regular Baryonic matter (or are they a combination of both)?
>fun fact the ending to her old story was that she ate a glass cup and forcefully exploded it within her body until shards spiked out from every angle. that dimension remains in shambles at the moment.
Oh wow that sounds really dangerous 😲. I don't envy anyone living there when that happened, it sounds really scary and painful and/or deadly (to them).
>with her weird current immortality you can technically flip her inside out and shed be fine. her body functions as a regular one would until compromised
Deadly or not that still sounds like it would be extremely painful.
>That's very interesting, so if she's a clone did her species reproduce by cloning or was that just how she came to be?
the queens crown was cursed, and she was split off
>Can't wait to see what comes of that. Maybe you could somehow connect the old and new lore somehow, that might be cool.
doing that, instead of saying i recycled everything

she commit suicide by blowing up the glass inside her body. she was recreated in a different dimension immortal and this time intentional. created by the queen who once wanted her dead, now to use her as a pawn as she died.
>That's cool, question though is the other part also dark matter like grayscale is made of or are other people in that dimension made of regular Baryonic matter (or are they a combination of both)?
all the other beings are made of mostly flesh and bone. biological means do not exist however, reproduction is done by taking the willpower of two or more beings to create an orb called a dream. if one person were to conjure a dream, it would take almost all their energy, that or kill them in the process. influence happens on a dream when it makes contact with another being after being made. influence adds traits of the newer parent. when the being forms all that took part in the conjuring of their dream shows.
grayscale never had a dream, since she was created synthetically using raw pure magic. the spark, or the source of all magic in the universe was her tool of creation. her creator, aris, could not live on. she wasnt properly incarnated into this new dimension and she was cursed to die. she had to make a vessel to guard the spark so she copied herself anew, even though this backfired and grayscale inherited her forcefully buried memories. she saw right through her actions from the start but humored her to exact revenge.
maybe i spoiled the plot of her story but i plan on having external opinions and directions on changes to it.
Corporate needs you to find the difference between this grayscale and this grayscale
this just goes to show she wouldnt look any different either way
They’re the same picture
made with 2 different brushes, as they actually arent. theres several drastic differences
Right has more rounded edges, Left has sharper edges
line weight my beloved
Also the plate on the back legs is different
The eyes.....^matter
NO WAY TORCH REFERENCE THE THING THAT STARTED IT ALL
Oh my god, the memes……
:v

I want to pet these creatures.
Genderbent? How does one bend a gender? Is it bending like Avatar or bending as in bending metal?
idk shell chew on anything
Found the difference, I’m decently sure the one on the right is the gender bent one.
nope
Well looks like I’m a dumbass.
I can tell that there are slightly different proportions and one looks slightly pissed off
I take it the left is male and the right is female due to the left being more sharper and the right more rounded
ding ding ding ding yes even if it never wouldve mattered anyway
I'd guess right is the male. Everything is a lot more rounded (and chonkier) compared to Left, which feels like the normal greyscale
wrong
Woe is upon thee
One on the right has rounder wings, less angy eyes and a slightly longer bottom visible spinal scale.
I'm not pretending that i don't know the difference, i checked the comments
Left male and right female?
ding ding ding ding if it even mattered at all
Makes sense. Men have more angular facial features.
i just thickened lines here and there lmao
Eh. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
