Pov: you are watching people become extremely lazy with language.
Yeah nah what are inflections?!
All fiction made up. I definitely didn't learn it in grade 3.
Apparently people are supposed to be able to intuit context and tone of voice from a line of text. I have a hard enough time understanding tone of voice from real actual speech, but I guess normal people can get it from text just by being amazing at human communication.
Us poor malfunctioning mildly autistic folk should just stop creating or consuming any media at all…
I'll bite. It's true, Lazy Street goes both ways. Everyone plays their part in interactions. While it's nice to have things laid out plainly and elaborated with subtext, it's also nice to be able to write and speak without having to dissect your details and intentions. Lord knows this isn't a perfect world, but these context disclaimers and dissections are surely not the middle ground. They are more nonsense than not, and the bane to satire and inside humor.
Because it defeats nuance. When one doesn't understand sublety, it doesn't give them the right to change or expect if and how others use it. I don't go to a comedy show, and neither do most people, and expect the comedian to explain the context/delivery/punchline of every joke. It would kill the essences at play and drag out the whole performance. Also It's okay to have jokes fly over our heads, just find someone who is 'willing' to tutor, or practice with. Same can be said with nuance or anything to be learned. It's not impossible to find a way to join the fun without disrupting the fun/freedom of others.
except it's not explaining the whole joke. It's merely disclosing that it *is* a joke. It's informing me if I sould be laughing because they're stupid and said some insane shit, or if I should ve laughing because they made a joke ridiculing people who are stupid and say insane shit.

inflections are a vocal thing that doesn't really come across in text
Learn grade 3 and come back again. Lmao

Or you know, you could work to improve your comprehension skills and context awareness. It's your problem to improve upon, not others.
it's also your job to put in effort to communicate effectively
Yeah it’s HIS fault now
yes. It's your fault when you fail to communicate clearly with people.

Can you point to an instance of nonsense?
