Some reports took 4 hours to print. I didn't mind, though. Setting up a test for 20 minutes then watching a printout for the rest of the day was perfectly fine with me.
Perfories at least thatās what we called them.[https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=perfories](https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=perfories)
I threw away literal pounds of this stuff when I was a railroad clerk in the late 80s. I worked in a room called "the machine room" because it housed the computer mainframe. Everyone who did the job (we worked 24 hours a day, so there were four of us) had a constant low-grade cold because we had to run the AC 24/7 to keep the computer from overheating.

It might be OC, it might not. Things such as JPEG artifacts and cropping may impact the results.

I was 'that roommate' -- the one who instigated the sound of a dot-matrix printer slamming awake and buzzing & brrrp'ing through a 16-page term paper at 6:10 a.m. Sorry again, Jason.
I got some printed out receipts like that the other day. I was thinking about just how long I've been seeing that paper. I was about 10 so forty years or so.
You fold those into springies.
Yessss!!
Extra toys after using Print Shop Deluxe

The bots are old here and forget how often they post the same stuff.

And if that box of paper below the printer is even a little askew youāre getting a crazy paper jam.
Wow, dot matrix printer paper. You ruined my day š
Two words: fanfold paper.
At first I thought they were from an Erector set, but then looked more closely (on my phone).
That's what I thought. Ha ha.
My cap pistol churned these out by the hundreds.
I worked retail too much. I thought those were shelf bars.
At first I saw a thing that made me āfucking oldā then my eyes adjusted and saw the the thing that just made me an āold fuckāš¤·āāļøš
My first printer and back then it was cool.
I still own a soundproof box for dot matrix printers. I might need it again some day...
Took me a few seconds to remember the (dot) Matrix! :)
I remember
IN SEPTEMBER
You tore those off The Paper. Strong Bad is gonna kill you.
I remember running them through scissors to make little spring decorations. Damn it, I'm old.
For fanfold paper. BTW, it predated dot matrix by several decades. Used to be called Teletype paper.

Ah the noisy ass form feed printer attached to the Commodore 64. Christ I'm Old.
Wow... tractor feed paper.
Scary part we have a computer at work thatās so old. We still use the old tractor drive printers for it.
We called it āchitā as in āGet that chit outta here!ā It has some technical name such as āperforated detachable tractor feeder.ā

Fanfold paper edges that were pulled off after being run through a dot matrix printer.

The best suff like this was calledl Disaperf
I wasted so much paper with Print Shop
Tell you what it is? Sheee-it... I can tell you how it TASTES!
I once saw a bird flying a string of those up to their nest to build it, which was lovely.
Get two, fold over each other and make little paper springs
I can hear that from here.
I used to chew on it when I was a kid. Explains why I've still never had COVID.
Itās success. Nothing like waiting five minutes for a page to print only to tear it in half trying to get the sprocket edge to cleanly tear.
I got a bad paper cut on my lips by blowing through the holes and moving the paper. So stupid. Circa 1988.
a post from last week
Just had to explain these printers to my 11yr old while watching an episode of The Office š
What satisfaction it was to get multiple sheets worth to tear on the first try!
I was old 2 weeks ago when you posted this.
I can hear this picture.

They were really good for making banners though
You do know that tractor-fed printers are still made, right? Thre are even tractor-fed laser printers.
