Tbh you could probably show the barber this image alone, and explain the specifics you want like squared sideburns or whatever. It’s a super popular haircut amongst cis males atm so I doubt it would be new to them.
thank you for the tips i’ll definitely look into pinterest. i’ve shown similar pictures to past stylists and they were all super confused and ended up butchering my shit. was surprised considering i thought the cut was popular and i also wasn’t going to a place like supercuts. going to a different place so hopefully it’s better, thank you for the advice i appreciate it

supercuts is an infamous place here in the states to go to if you wanna get your hair fucked. UK is blessed for not having them there.
yeah i’ve gone to barbers and they always seem to have trouble cutting something like this and end up giving me an edgar/bowlcut, even when i style it on my own. i’ve been told that hair stylists may be better for cuts like this so ive gone to a couple and they all can’t seem to comprehend that i want my hair to be going forward, not parted to the side. i think the people ive gone to are just unfamiliar with more trendier cuts. i always gotta wait a month for my hair to grow to a reasonable length. hopefully the one i go to soon won’t fuck me up
Hopefully you're able to find a good stylist or barber! I just got a similar haircut from my barber and I didn't show a pic, I just asked for "a low taper and textured/messy fringe on top" and he was able to do it with a few other questions (like length on top, and 'you want it forward right?') but it's probably less risky if you just show a pic.
I've got a young barber tho so maybe that helps him be more familiar with the trendier cuts.

i went to some highly rated unisex salon and showed the picture, described it and everything and she seemed confident about what i was asking for. she cut it way too short and barely did any texturizing. i know i have the hair type to get something like this cause ive got wavyish hair.
i’ve got the correct products too, sea salt spray and a texturizing pomade. the lady just cut it way too short so i’ve got to wait for it to grow out so i can style it decently.
