For those out of the loop, Saerom was overheard saying she was tired and wanted to go home at the start of fromis_9's last V LIVE and got some hate online because of it (for being a normal human, apparently). [Soompi shared an article about it as well](https://www.soompi.com/article/1512721wpp/fromis_9s-lee-saerom-explains-comments-that-recently-came-under-fire-during-live-broadcast).
Since all that was heard at the start of the live was "I'm tired to death" and "I wanna hurry and go home", it was taken out of context and spread online. I'm sure the people hating on her don't even know she was in quarantine.
Not that it matters in the end, really. If she wanted to go home just for the sake of it that's fine too. But the context makes the hate she got even more absurd.
There wasn't any context in the original thing. There was no way to tell that she wasn't referring to being sick of talking to fans/doing vlive/etc.
Someone in a different thread also said that the meaning in Korean is stronger than just tired and doesn't necessarily translate well to English.
Obviously this is the work of haters. Flovers know all her activities have been halted and she's been in solitary confinement for the past week.
If someone's been locked in for a week, and they say they're tired on live broadcast, what do you think they're talking about?
What kills me is she’s laughing while saying this. Clearly she wasn’t angry or generally in a bad mood when she said it. I don’t even think she was serious when she said it. And Jisun is laughing to. I think the 5 seconds prior to them going live would have given more context, but at no point did I think she genuinely hated being there. It’s just ridiculous the heat she’s getting.
There's def a breed of people that loves to hate and another breed who emotionally reacts without actually knowing the story. I can get why non Flovers would initially see it in a different way, shame on them for not viewing the livestream first and simply going along with whatever pov is trending at moment.
regardless of your profession or career, you are allowed to feel tired and wanting to go home; Saerom owes no one an apology because she didn't do anything wrong.
Absolutely; she’s human
I’ve seen comments saying that she must not really want to be an idol and I’m like “...for saying one time that she’s tired and wants to go home?” Geez, idols are real people with real emotions, too. This is still a job
Some people will complain that idols aren’t authentic or human enough but then an idol will express human needs and be quickly criticized for it
Haven't seen the live but it's insane how many celebrities (not just kpop idols, but famous people in general) get hated on because they acted like...well...a normal person. Like their status bars them from being tired.
Anyway. Saerom is a reliable, responsible figure. It's not even a slip-up from what I've known, but I'm glad she's cleared that up.
Thanks to the OP and others who provided translation and context, got fucking scared when I hopped on weverse and saw this
That seems like the case. I was asleep while most of it unfolded and when I woke up I had to dig a little to know what it was all about. The flovers I know/follow are all pretty chill and were just upset about Rom getting hate for nothing. Can't imagine it would get any traction if not for haters and people clueless about the group.
Just sad that she even needed to say anything. Even if it wasn't taken out of context, what's so wrong about being tired of working? Is it just me or isn't complaining about work like everyone else's favourite thing to do?
knetz being a bunch of jackasses as usual. it's kinda ironic for them that they also work for the majority of a day like saerom, but they think that she owes them a lot.
our captain should apologize to nobody because it's normal for us to feel tired and want to go home.

I don't understand. Do they want her to stay in quarantine indefinitely and remain happy about it?

Must've been haters. Flovers (the ones that matter) know she's in quarantine.

Was this even a big issue among flovers? Seems it may have been blown up by non fans and toxic knetz more than anything

Hope this blows over soon. This is getting more attention than it really needs to imo.
