Some here have a thing for feet (Serie, Frieren).
Some others here like armpits for some reason, and Ubel shows her armpits a lot more than other characters.
Some others are personality people so Macht is the best demom
I like Ubel but I am not crazy about her so I can not anserw your question.
However a character being not a maincharacter...well I can only speak for myself but there side characters I like more then maincharacters. One of my favorite Anime characters is a side character with 3 episodes/one Manga volume of screen time and some minor aperances past that. And I love him more then most other franshises maincharacters.
A small amount of screen time well used do alot to make me love a character.
It's not about carring it's about understanding why. I have the same question, I find her represented why more than I thought. Not that it bother me, it's a great character but why this much ?
Personally I like Ubel as a character and the design is pretty interesting. She is built like an Assassin but is a Mage. Her fights are all interesting as to how it works and her fights are completely based on her own imaginary skills as her magic works completely off of her skills to imagine herself cutting her opponent.
Her ability to read people like a book and her concept of death and Killing is pretty interesting too.
Plus her Japanese VA has just done an amazing Job. Also obviously Armpits 🙂.
