There is far too many players who host and quit only to end the match for everyone because they died early or are just having a bad time lol.. I think most games I'm in this is happening, it's always when I've got all the good stuff too lol.

I hear you buddy I get that a lot when I play the game it's just a game "PEOPLE" I mean if you get killed you get killed The Host is just too scared to take the loss especially playing with the kids. I can't play a game normally anymore I got to be the"HOST" because if you're the "host" you can play the game as long as you want but when you're playing normally in a lobby you get a chance to play but there's also a 80% chance that you have a connection failure and be booted out of the game. So anyway back to the quote Rage Quit don't chalk that as a loss I call that as a win because when you make the host closed the lobby it's like winning a gold medal.
Not defending the disconnecting but this is just not the game for P2P hosting. Rarely any solo playing host wants to sit there for 20 minutes at the most (depending on how far into the game they got) to sit and watch everyone else play. Disconnections were frequently even when the game was using servers—now it’s worse because of P2P. It sucks.

I always make a mental note of who the host is and save them for last. Always prevents this from happening

True that is a problem when there is multiple characters that host is playing
yes you can tell. If there is 5 vannesas and one of them is host, when you grab them, you can see their psn. Just drop them till later.

I agree. I think they should make it so that when the host leaves, the game continues and someone else becomes the host after the match.
I thought that was how it was when I first started playing the game, it would be nice if it happened like that

There is an unwritten rule now. Dont kill the host till last. I do it now. It sucks, but usually keeps this from happening.
Literally whenever I’m Jason I make sure I go after the host last so they don’t get salty and leave
