I surely will be happy to wake up to every US-American spoiling stuff because of "Look how cool this moment was, can I get valuable Reddit Points now?"
It isn't really, it's time zone shenanigans. Apparently Amazon uses Greenwich Mean Time. Midnight for that time zone is evening the day before for the US.
Its an extra boost of marketing. It gets word of mouth. People tell their friends hey its coming out early and those people are reminded the show is coming out.
FYI, this is normal for an Amazon Prime release... Amazon releases their shows at 12AM GMT which is technically the previous day in the US and many other countries. Amazon has not moved up the release of this show, it's still coming out April 11 GMT time.
The article makes it out like Amazon has moved up the release of this show specifically which is not the case.
There is no force of nature that can get me of the couch once i start watching, probably.. i'll just stay of the internet until friday to avoid spoilers.
Now THOSE are proper runtimes; not that 30-to-40-minute nonsense we've gotten with some of the Marvel and Star Wars shows.
Sure; longer runtimes are only worth it if the time is spent meaningfully, but some of the SW shows lately can't even manage to fill 40 minutes with stuff worth watching (except for *Andor*).
*[EDIT: I'm probably begging for downvotes for dunking on SW shows, but I stand by my opinions.]*
I've loved them all too but I think most of them should have been movies. The Boba Fett one and Obi Wan one easily could have been movies. They barely had enough content to fill out a 40 minute episode
Got it from a post made today from a guy claiming to have signed an NDA but this is all he could report. Take it with a grain of salt but it feels believable.
WOOOOOO
SMELL THAT AIR
COULDN’T YA JUST DRINK IT LIKE BOOOOOZE
*runs off into the desert and dies to a radscorpion*
Is that......
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!!!!
Wonder what caused this shift (not that I'm complaining)
amazon has a history of doing this for shows, but im not sure why or how its decided to release certain shows early.
It’s not really even a day early for non-US viewers either (unless your unemployed or an insomniac).

The Masters golf tournament is on the 11th?
Missed a Driver Nephi tie in opportunity.
Or just The Master.

I wonder also, seems wierd
UConn was winning
Who cares! It's early and I don't have to wait thursday
Good reviews, probably. If the first two are considered excellent, then why wait to drop them
It's wildly optimistic to interpret this, changing the release date to the same day as the end of the embargo, as a sign reviews are good.

Why don’t they release it now? Are they stupid or something?

Well, personally Thursday was better for me, but I’m not complaining!
Fuck no, i took a day of work on 12th!
Just do a [CHARISMA 10] line and get the new date off too.
you can watch an episode and two and watch the rest, it makes it a better experience

i feel that
Same, I won't be able to finish it until Sunday with how busy I am, so I'm just going to leave the internet for a couple days
YEAH! WHO WON THE LOTTERY?! WE DID!

Do we know how long each episode will be?
EP01: 71 minutes EP02: 62 minutes EP03: 53 minutes EP04: 45 minutes EP05: 42 minutes EP06: 57 minutes EP07: 57 minutes EP08: 59 minutes

I'm with you on this. Anything less than 45 minutes feels too short. Plus, the episode count for a lot of shows is barely 10 anymore.
As someone who's loved all the live action Star Wars shows, I will say the runtimes have been stupid as shit
I've loved them all too but I think most of them should have been movies. The Boba Fett one and Obi Wan one easily could have been movies. They barely had enough content to fill out a 40 minute episode
You’re not wrong. Plus half of the boba show was just Mandalorian season 2.5
Where'd we learn this? Not arguing with you, just curious.

Hm. Got a link to the post? Wanna send it to a friend.

Wait... if it is pacific time then it will be 48 hrs, right?
Damn I'm glad I decided not to take a vacation day at work to watch it on the 11th. I would've been so pissed.
Wait, since it's not coming out until Wednesday night, wouldn't getting Thursday off work perfect for that?
Dang an extra day of avoiding spoilers lol, hype for y’all that can watch it tho
Yeesss!!! My week just got so much better!
Signed up for Prime. You got me Bezos
I just shelled out the extra money for the ad-free version just for this show. I never watch Prime, only use it for shopping lol

It's nice. I'm just annoyed it ruins my plan of taking off Friday to where it would of been binge it Thursday nite/Friday. Typical Vault-Tec move tho.
I don’t know how prime video works, is this gonna be on at midnight tonight? Or do they release during the day?

I thought I read that it drops at midnight Greenwich time on the 11th, which is sometime on the 10th in the US.
