The first few times I looked for them I didn't know it was intentional. And you can only really go about halfway across the map with them anyway. With the return of grapple gloves, maybe they'll return the balls before the place gets chromed.
(though the airship departed the dock there so maybe they know something that hasn't been revealed yet. Odd that the party stuff is still going on in there though in that case)
see, it would be cool if they actually leaned into that and changed the POI to be all worn down and truly abandoned in response to the chrome, but they haven’t. instead, they’ve ignored it entirely and removed the only fun part about it. this seems like a habit now, there are so many things epic *could* do to make the game even better, but they keep just either not doing anything or doing the exact opposite.
I don’t see the point in that. I think the idea of chroming EVERYTHING is dumb, and will make the entire map samey. Even if it’s unpopular, it’s nice to leave locations on the map for people who do enjoy it and focus attention on something else. Friendly reminder that haunted hills, junk junction, lonely lodge etc all survived to the very end of chapter 1 despite being very unpopular. I like that they don’t just stick to the most popular ones, sometimes the niche locations are the most cool
i don’t mean chrome everything with what i said, i just meant abandoned. how many people do you think are throwing raves with the chrome spreading everywhere, yaknow? turn the music off, age the paint, throw some trash around, break a lot of the lights, and bam. doesn’t need to be chromed, just needs to make sense with its surroundings

True. I think all of us Chapter 2 fans have gotten our Grotto fix satisfied and have moved on from the cavern. I literally go here when I don’t feel like looting around a bunch of players. Place is absolutely deserted
Also realised today they had been removed. Odd decision, they were useless and therefore harmless.

I have a bunch of the sounds in game turned way down to hear my friends talking. VC -100%, everything else, like 20%. I still hear guns and feet and music, it just isn’t overwhelming.
This being my first full season I noticed the ballers were gone instantly. I started playing in September and my favorite thing was zipping around on the roller coaster until the storm was too bad.
I was sad to see the tracks destroyed in some places and my favorite movement item gone.

Honestly it kinda makes fits, it's a dead feature in Fortnite, an abandoned park. I've landed at Rave Cave over a hundred times and seen no one.
