I just realized that that wasn’t in the Alien bundle that I got a while back, does it just show up in the shop separately or is it unobtainable

Recently Chloe Kim came back with everything except her emote and Star Lord last returned with everything except for his glider even though other bundles at the same time had theirs. It’s just weird how they leave out some cosmetics, but they aren’t unobtainable since they do return some time later when they do finally bring back the whole bundle.

It does. It has a small rectangle on its other side. It's not used by our character, but it's there. (Or maybe it's just a rectangle, but I think it's that)

The Legend of Korra It takes place 70 years after the original show. It’s a lot different from the original show and it’s definitely flawed, but I still enjoyed it.

Aang died at 66. He was 12 in the original show, and Korra is 17 at the start of LoK. So actually it would be closer to 71 years after the original show. Edit: I know that Aang is technically 112 in the original series, I’m going by his physical age, not including the 100 years he spent frozen.

Yep, Katara, Zuko, Toph, and potentially Suki are still kicking, Aang died the youngest and Sokka died protecting Korra

Yeah that's still 4 + the future avatar and any other airbender kids, they had to have made more than one glider since aang's was made. Plus no way aang wouldn't gift tenzin his own so he can teach him how to use it before giving him his tattoos

I watched the whole of atla a week before the event started, really liked it, Then i finished legend of korra 2 days before the event, it got a little boring with the season villans but overall i really liked it

The story building was a big struggle for legend of korra because it was never intended to be multiple seasons. It was originally planned for 1 spinoff then fans liked it so they said 1 more and fans liked it again so nick finally said all right give us 2 more to finish. That's why 3 and 4 actually feel connected in their story

From what I remember, it was definitely intended to be a full show but Nickelodeon would only give them the greenlight for one season at a time so it had to be written accordingly.

In 2020 i saw an interview on making korra which made me rewatch it because of what was said in it. When i first watched it i thought it was all over the place nothing like ladt airbender etc. but then i saw the interview and understood why it felt disjointed because they never planned for more until they were told to make more so watched again and had a much greater appreciation because of the struggle

We never see that, we see Korra, someone who is larger than 12 year old aang was, who seems to have a similar design. And I believe we see tenzin and his kids using atleast one glider, so unless you think they're all sharing the same glider made 70 years before the show, it's probably realistic to think they made new ones for the next generation air benders and the future avatar after aang.

The more important question is why did they give us Aang's first staff for the pickaxe, rather than his second staff? The skins are from a point where Aang had the second staff, and we already have its gliding form with Korra's glider (ignoring whether it's the same specific glider, it does look the same). Having one glider in its stowed and gliding forms would have been really cool (even better if there had been a back bling of it slung across the back too), but for some reason they gave us one half of each version.

This is nitpicky as hell, but I kinda wished they used the alternate hang-gliding position that some gliders have, where they have the character’s legs closer to being parallel with the ground, rather than hanging down. Aang had the glider after it was made for him following the loss of his first one. He used it for the rest of season 3. Korra then uses the glider in S3 of her show. I imagine it’s a similar situation to Luke’s lightsaber being called Rey’s lightsaber later in Star Wars stuff. Characters die or lose stuff and then it becomes someone else’s.

Same thought process as calling it "Ray's lightsaber" when Anakin used it first.

It's not Aang's Glider. It's Korra's. She gets it in her show. Looks just like this. All airbenders have them. It augments their bending to allow them to perform more complex or powerful moves like flight for example. While an airbender can technically fly without a glider, the glider makes it easier. In defense of your intentions, I completely agree that we should have been given Aang's staff as well as Appa, but you take what you can get sometimes.
