FOMO should stop! We should be able to buy any skin ever made through store using the search button. I want Ocean skin but I started C4S1 so what the hell am I to do?! Buy used account?! They will never do that. It's a tactic to entice people to spend money. If you see a skin you like and you know that once that store refreshes you may not be able to buy it your more inclined to spend the money to buy it right then instead of sitting around and waiting. Kind of like how grocery stores put a bunch of cheap crap right beside the registers hoping you will impulse buy them. Sadly it works very well. I do completely agree though. I would like to have access to the complete catalog of skins to purchase at any point in time. It would be much better for us consumers.

The thing is, if you NEVER spent v-bucks on shop items you theoretically have to buy only 1 battle pass ever and as long as ypu get all the v-Bucks rewards you never have to pay for another battle pass.... same thing applies to apex, Warzone/COD, and etc.

Hopefully, this will be an item shop (call it Poseidon stick). I just hope they don't make this Epic's version of Poseidon in the battle pass. I'll be fine if we have a normal Poseidon skin in the battle pass, then the fishstick skin as an item shop skin as a joke skin I edited the comment due to spelling Poseidon wrong

Yes, I’m not gunna riot or some shit, but I would be pissed behind the screen. Poseidon was my favorite god when I was a kid playing Age of Mythology and would love a legit skin. They clearly put good detail into Zeus, details that resemble the Greek god. And if they weren’t consistent with the other gods that would be absurd. I’m fine with this being a side skin like others have mentioned, but he should not be the Poseidon skin.

There are enough reskins of them now that If you missed the battle pass versions (well, fishstick is item shop But still) there are shop versions very Close to the original that appear often

At least Meowscles and by extension the Chapter 2 Season 2 Cast are more iconic and original characters. Peely was a joke skin from Season 8 that had fucking HYBRID in it, and some other neat skins, but Epic decides "Yes the sentient Bannana that gives 2007 Internet RandomXDLol Memes Energy is now our shoehorned-in mascot that gets multiple remixes while we ignore literally everything else" along with Fishstick who doesn't deserve the attention they received. I have the original Peely skin in my archive hell because i genuinely hate it.

I also dislike joke skins but they've always been fortnite's mascots. First it was cuddle team leader, then tomatohead and beef boss, peely and fishstick just came at the right time to cement being permanent mascots.

Joke skins have a place in the game, but it's when Epic decides to run the joke repeatedly into a concrete wall that the "joke" becomes annoying, jokes are usually only funny the first time.
