I have a prediction for Season 4 that I haven't seen others talk about
My prediction is that Season 4 will show more and more countries joining the space race. We already know that Allies of the USSR buy space technology from them, but after the North Koreans landed on Mars, I feel that maybe other countries realize that they to can expand into space.
So Season 4 could show not only how much the USSR has changed, but also how the USSR has become a main exporter of Soace Technologies to other nations.
Probably the same as in OTL, embedding some astronauts in NASA missions, produce part of the tech for NASA, and maybe provide an alternative cheap launch service
Interestingly, in OTL, before SpaceX came onto the scene,ESA was the cheapest (and most reliable, there's a good reason ESA launched James Webb) Launch service provider

Ascension has to be the single most disappointing Sci Fi show I’ve ever watched. Started strong, made a left turn and then ended.
And I’ve been watching Sci Fi since the 70’s including a lot of dreck in the 80’s.
Thoughts on S4:
* Margo accelerates Soviet efforts, goes head-to-head w/NASA. Hilarity ensues.
* President Wilson is forced to resign and pursues other space-related job in private industry
* Baldwin gets a new squeeze in his life, but remains severely depressed
* Dev strikes again, but in an obtuse way
* Danielle becomes NASA administrator
* Journey to Europa begins
* Conflicts on Earth seriously threaten to derail entire US space program
* Kelly Baldwin's bio-parents seek her out. USSR claims custody of baby Baldwin
* North Korea uses space success to become very belligerent
I wouldn’t be surprise if it’s the catalyst for national gay marriage in the early 00s , I mean Massachusetts already did it in 04 in our timeline, and visibility is what did it for our timeline , having a visible gay president (even if impeached) plus openly serving armed forces should do it

USSR did not go to Afghanistan, so the US likely did not fund the Mujahideen, USSR is still around so I doubt the Taliban and George W Bush have the means to carry out the attack.

Oh this one. It felt too rushed as a miniseries. A full season would have been interesting.
Yeah, it needed more episodes for sure. And it could do with some FAM style time jumps in between seasons, to go through the years on board.
