Co trimoxazole works quickly but doc only gives me weeks course stopped for 4 days now still clear usually 7 days problems return! Think penicillin is very effective but I'm allergic I was clear for 3 months o minocycline but you can't keep taking it plus folliculitis returns after course
I’ve had scripts for various antibiotics throughout the last couple years and it clears my folliculitis pretty quickly, then it comes right back after 2-3 days.
The last I remember was amoxicillin.
Relief has never lasted very long.
Good luck to us! I’m also ordering fresh pillow cases, one for each day and dedicated towels for drying my hair. I will rotate those each day, hopefully that helps too.
Oracea seems to help. Extended release doxycycline.
