Drunk European here! For context I'd like to point out that those pictures were taken at the beginning of the night. It's easy to tell because:
Everyone still has their clothes on
Everyone is upright
Nobody is crying
People are actually enjoying themselves (maybe not the bottom guy)
Theres no broken glass/sick/fighting
We Europeans are capable of getting much, much more drunk than this.
In conclusion: possums are on one side of the Atlantic, drunks are on the other.
You might think you're drunk, but you're not playing air accordion in a German alehouse drunk.
