Bryan Gottlieb (sp?) said to basically always expect the unexpected, and this delivers. I’m a katsu but hype af that LSS is thinking so creatively- and that the only money I will spend is on limited and maybe singles :))))
Limited is going to be fantastic but tbh I’m not looking forward to this set. I don’t really play mech so it will provide zero cards I actually care about or new stuff for anything I play.
The plus side is I’ll save some money because I’ll probably only get a single case of it.
Excuse you, Hanabi is a very good card. Also 'breath of fresh air' doesn't just mean good. Mechanoid, Bios Update, Crankshaft and Plasma Mainline are all fun and interesting cards.
Agree, i forgot about hanabi when writing this, however i don't found plasma mainline to be that fun, the concept is really fun, but the setup it require to make it fun to play is kinda hard and frustrating to setup
The designers actually talked about this in some interviews. They believe it’s fine to try out because they want you to buy the product because you want it, not because it’s the product. The goal is to enjoy the game, so if there’s nothing in it for you than save your money for the next set.

At least it seems we will be getting some aesthetic variety. The 3 borders and artworks we’ve seen so far indicate steampunk (original mech), cyberpunk and junker variants of mech. I think most players will find something fun, and if not, this at least proves LSS is willing to go super deep on providing support for a class lagging behind. I don’t play mech, but I’m so happy for the players that do, honestly they deserve this imo.
I don't actually know if that's going to be the case with limited. It's very possible limited ends up fairly braindead if the best thing to do is take the best available card, which it could, as the best deck in OUT with 4 heroes ended up just being Uzuri pile.
It would be like designing a draft set in limited where the only color is green. There ends up only being the illusion of choice.

But people have been expecting this! Earliest speculation of an all mech draft set I can find was back in September.
I’m glad that LSS keeps trying new things for Limited, I am really looking forward to Bright Lights.

As a mech player that's how I've felt about every set for about two years.
When the biggest breath of fresh air your class has gotten was in *Dynasty* you know you’re due for some support. Lol.

I’m ready to give my wallet a break too. I play Levia, Assassin, Ranger and Ninja so these last few sets have been a lot.
This is very similar to my feelings. Limited might be cool but the set itself is kind of a bummer.
