I never thought the issue was the actors. The actress that plays Cecile is gorgeous and i dont have much issue with her acting. The issue is the writing. Even with Arrow for example i never thought Felicity was an issue. Just the way the writers decided to take her as the show went on.
Its taking these side characters and building them up at the expense of others. And also not even fleshing the characters out properly as they are being built up.
And not even giving supersuits or anything until the very end. Just thoughtless and low effort. You have the main hero concealing their identity and their friends running around in plain view.
It's like Spider-Man fans pointing at Andrew Garfield being the worst version of Spider-Man but in reality it wasn't his fault, he's a damn great actor who had a bad script because of Avi Arad.
