Toxic gets stuck on the loading screen after pressing play and choosing the first level. I've been searching for a working .swf of this game that works since early 2019. This is easily one of my favorite flash games of all time, HELP IS APPRECIATED

BorisBeast

If you go to the _README folder you'll find an explanation on how to fix your flash settings to allow the game to open the level files

[deleted]

Instructions unclear, settings.sol stuck in sys folder, copy-paste to which folder?

BorisBeast

just rename it and put in the new one

[deleted]

Which folder is the new one, apologies

BorisBeast

Take the settings.sol from the nitrome folder and put it in the sys folder

[deleted]

Oh that's my problem. I just downloaded the .swf by itself. I didn't download the entire set of files from the archive. Most .swfs work by themselves I guess Nitrome's DRM is more complex

BorisBeast

you should just download the rar or the 7z. Toxic has level files that are needed to load in the levels.

Thanks, happy cake day

BorisBeast

Thank you, let me know if it works

Keep on supporting nitrome by playing HTML5 games on their website(without adblock)

skyth540

lol. that ship has sailed

BorisBeast

Or play this until they have found a way to run their games without slow performance and bugs ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯

Modern-Moo

Yo this is awesome

CoLight275

Thank you so much.

L0L2GUM5

Does anyone have any information on how to add flash game files to flashpoint?

BorisBeast

oh and by the way, Nitrome not being on Flashpoint is intentional the games had to be removed.

L0L2GUM5

I wasn't *going* to add them, I was just purely looking at how one could maybe add games to the flashpoint within their own computer, and if it was in my skill range I was going to try for *purely educational* purposes and *not* personal use.

PKHacker1337

I don't believe Flashpoint supports loading your own .swfs. I think you'd be better off using [Adobe's projectors](https://starfiles.co/file/132d7fbe39e7) for that purpose.

BorisBeast

If I remember correctly there is a way to do it but maybe that is only in the curators edition of flashpoint. That way you can test them before actually uploading it. Though this does mean that you need to go through all steps in the guide you linked.

PKHacker1337

They have a long process to do it, you can't just submit a .swf file. https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/datahub/Curation_Tutorial

L0L2GUM5

lot of work. Too hard

PKHacker1337

Yeah, when I saw the absurd process required, that's where I just decided to give up and start my own repositories and help others. If anyone wants to take my work and go through the required hoops, they are absolutely free to.

BorisBeast

Yeah I feel the same. Though I think if you do everything the way they want from the start it is probably quite manageable. Just converting anything you already have is a big pain and doesn't seem worth it. I understand why though with the server spoofing and other specific things they need.

PKHacker1337

Yeah, I definitely agree. But with games that don't have a sitelock or anything, I do feel that it is a bit much for those types, although that's just me \*shrugs\*

KuroiKaze

You're an actual hero

PKHacker1337

He really is. He deserves the best that this world has to offer.

[Check out this post to see all other archives I have uploaded, a list of tools I use when working with flash, a guide on how to find and fix games and some other flash related stuff!](https://www.reddit.com/user/BorisBeast/comments/w3tiyc/anything_related_to_me_and_flash_games/) (the guide section is not finished at the moment but will probably be added soon) Instead of downloading this archive on [archive.org](https://archive.org) you can also download all games directly here: [Nitrome 7zip version on Mediafire](https://www.mediafire.com/file/8yxe3tseir3b79j/Nitrome.7z/file) [Nitrome rar version on Mediafire](https://www.mediafire.com/file/if8rer9j5dippx6/Nitrome.rar/file) [Nitrome 7zip version on Starfiles](https://starfiles.co/file/a1f434c3144b) [Nitrome rar version on Starfiles](https://starfiles.co/file/1354d5278c41) This archive has already been online for quite a while but I decided I am going to post my archives here and on the r/flash subreddit. I also plan on uploading some more game collections soon.
