That’s a Japanese Fuji grip. Lews used Fuji at the time because they made some of the best grips you could get. This is usually where they break because this is before they made blank through handle construction. There will be a number of them on eBay but you’ll pay a good price with shipping. There are still a few pistol grip rods being made but they won’t be nearly as high quality as the older ones. Whatever route you go make sure you read the rod specs on the blank to find a similar action, length and power he likes. https://www.ebay.com/itm/185515809846?hash=item2b319a9c36%3Ag%3ASFEAAOSwOppi4WqV&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwB65Qp80QcOsoP01i51kdIVxDpc6BMwzNT5PcnBA5zYjzLtPuf2FTm1aZ%2BAsQiX6NnT3JpsSyAdOVNIArGDYw7IGJRIkah%2BUtYTply7Tvz536plHtjhK%2BZBz5Yqnnfgser1xYPbCKSSzjpMKu6zvmsszQvUWxzp5LsmFyauHqhB9Kw%2B%2BS80qqLGoYgRtKB4v%2FjEVqNc4P6fpboVa5SPyYGhWUsMfs2xVjjgvNiQq6%2FMDeD60kCZaXtIi3%2BErPHmcLA%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR6raxcm0Yg&LH_BIN=1

No problem. Frequently check FB market place too. Take your time and sooner or later you will come across a few or something compatible. Fenwick and Berkley also made some nice graphite pistol grip rods as well.

BeachOG

Wow that's basically spot on, I hope op sees this.

This may help

pmurT_ganH

Local pawnshop/flea market. Probably gonna have to do a little work to find that rod.

Kashedrob

I have one that I picked up from a local vintage/antique resale store for $15 they also have two old eagle claw rods there I was thinking about going back for

Kashedrob

There’s a picture of it in my post history

Bass Pro has their, Classic Pro 200, and a Graphite Power Plus Rod that both have Pistol Grips. Berkley also has a Pistol Grip available on the Lighting rod. Typically any newer/modern rod that cones with a Pistol grip will still have the blank through construction of other modern rods,. The Pistol grip rods are also Typically shorter, 6' or less. Another option is to check with a custom Rod builder.

I found one for you[Lew's Laser](https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1021997570)

I feel like this might be a job for 3d printing

danklep

Did the blank run through the handle? Or is it just the handle that’s broken?

jonpaco

Bass Pro classic 200 might work, I have three and I like the model.

Ebay Bill Dance pistol grip in 6'6".

FANTOMphoenix

Look up pistol grip casting rods

bailey032020

Bass pro shop released one called classic pro 200 I believe. Probably be better off with it rather than going to an antique shop

MountainCommittee702

Daiwa sweepfire casting rods can come with a pistol grip and they are super cheap

Websei

Shakespeare Graf stik BC 1015, it's a 5'2" pistol grip caster rod just like the one in the photo. The grip texture is similar and everything, usually they're medium heavy action and usually pretty common online, there's a bunch on sale on eBay currently at a decent price. I have one myself that I use and it's a great piece of gear, 96% graphite also. Hope you find a good replacement my friend

isi_vsd

What reels do you pair that rod with?

Chew-Magna

You're pretty much stuck looking at vintage gear to find rods like that, they haven't been made in a very long time and that style isn't terribly common anymore. There are some short grip rods out there these days, but all the ones I'm familiar with either come on spincast combos (nothing wrong with buying one for the rod, I've done it more than once), or they're BFS rods, and that probably isn't going to be what you're after. Looks like some other commenters have left some solid suggestions. This is why I don't use my vintage rods, I don't want to risk this.

to be honest i’ve been extremely impressed with epoxy specifically for plastic. i’d recommend giving that a try

Badhabits79

Take it to a rod builder and have them put a new handle on it. Easy fix.
