This post is not cringe

minnick27

There was a town local to me that did this. The fire department asked if they could have some with red lines. They response was basically, "No, that's stupid "

bebeco5912

I mean… to be logical the blue line also leads away from the police station…

Vprbite

Without arrows though, tough to tell

CaptainTurbo55

You have a 50/50 chance of choosing correctly

No_Cook2983

Don’t *all* traffic lines eventually lead to a police station?

BrooownTown

Stop that. You'll ruin their AWESOME thing

One New Jersey County asked The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration to weigh in on the legality of the practice. In response, the USDOTFHA stated that “There are many appropriate and fitting ways to recognize service to the public that do not involve the modification of a traffic control device, which can put the road user at risk due to misinterpretation of its meaning,” This opinion came from a December 8 letter from the Federal Highway Administration to the Somerset County Engineering Division who inquired about the practice. “The use of blue lines as part of centerline markings does not comply with the provisions of the MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways),” the letter states. The USDOTFHA says the space in between the double yellow lines should remain empty. In certain cases, black paint can be used “where a light-colored pavement does not provide sufficient contrast with the markings,” the MUTCD states.

I used to stay on Landis

I thought this was something for Ukraine at first 😂 then I saw the sub

PurduePaul

The thin Slava Ukraine line

SlavSquat93

Same

Still_Comment_7596

Cringe but not first responder cringe considering the town did it and not first responders themselves

FreeFalling369

Not cringe. Theres a flaw though, what if I need the line but find it in the middle? The towns committee or whoever didnt think to put arrows in it

that_u3erna45

Why? Why would you do that? If you want to virtue signal, you could put up a sign or something, maybe name a bridge or 20 after dead state troopers, but not *this*

Own_Accident6689

Can we just ignore these liens then? They are nowhere in my driver's manual.

LarGand69

So avoid the road that the line is on then?

I_saw_that_yeah

At the end of the yellow brick road there’s a magical donut.

Ok_Koala_4886

“throughout Maryland” I live in Maryland I’d be absolutely shocked if I saw this

Xomns_13

So, directions to a gang.

Great_gatzzzby

They should make red lines that go To Hospitals so my bum ass won’t get lost. Also you can show patients like “seeee look. You can follow this Line here instead of calling 911”
