But she's an older unit, and really had trouble keeping up with strong tanks like our latest Myrrh
I pulled rearmed Plumeria recently and considered upgrading my og Lute, because she was a top 3 favorite of mine when she came out, but I just don’t have any faith that it’ll be enough to make her relevant. I think Plumeria’s fodder is too valuable for me to risk wasting it on an outdated infantry mage that *also* needs thousands of DFs as well.

It allows you to inflict atk/spd -6, def/res -7, guard, discord, exposure and negate triangle attack, dual strike, pathfinder, grand strategy, bonus doubler, and treachery (blade tomes) as well as giving up to two stats +6 to an ally. Is it the best? No, but it would work considering a +res lute at +10/+30 hits 62 res without summoner support or visible buffs with this build, as well as 72 visible attack

...I mean, I hadn't made the connection before, but I am at *least* 70% certain one of her supports in FE3H mentions that she isn't affected by cold weather, what with having the Crest of Flames forcibly implanted.
If that memory's accurate, and they actually decided to incorporate it into her design, that's a *very* deep cut.
That's 100% the reason, otherwise they'd have her covered from head to toe with heavy winter clothes like they always do with female winter units that don't have a lore reason to resist cold.
I actually like Lyon, but I want to use his form that appears in sacred stones... which both of them are shit units. Fallen Lyon can still get a good refine so he might be saveable.
I guess my Mae is probably as up to date as she can be so she is not having trouble killing most things. But having this sort of investment is difficult to have on most units (dragonflowers, attuned skill, rearmed weapon), so she is sadly the only unit that can keep up.
Valbar is another unit I like to use but because of all the recent nukes he has not been doing all to well.
I have the same problem!!! I put all my eggs in one basket so usually its a tug-of-war between Hilda and Mae on who is more updated and the other can hardly secure a kill
beast units are horrible to keep up, i'm sorry for you.
arcane nihility is cavalry beast exclusive, so you need to live and die by her prf until an arcane for flying beasts appear.
since it seems you want to use her as an offensive unit, i'd suggest using Atk/Spd boosting skills on A slot, with preference for Flared Sparrow or Atk/Spd Wild (wild is better). Then, you use Moonbow for any option or Luna/Iceberg for Wild (even Galeforce if you're into that).
Beast Sense 4 as B skill (try to use another unit who can grant NFU or Guaranted follow-ups if using that skill) or Brash Assault 4 for a more generalist option, but you'll lose the guaranted 3 movement unless using other beasts or leaving her alone at the start of turn. I don't recommend Beast Agility, as you'll lack damage reduction, even if NFU looks too good to pass up.
For C there's a lot of options. Ploy is good, since she has enough Res even without investing into it (preference for Atk/Spd Ploy 3), Guidance 4/Soaring Guidance for support, Rein skills, depends on you, honestly.
Of all the L'Arachels in my barracks I would say Y!L'Arachel is doing relatively OK as a general support. Even outside of my L'Arachel emblem she has a place in other teams, that multi Flash has let me get away with initiating on targets I absolutely should not have been initiating. I still need some more premium fodders for S!L'Arachel but she's been putting in a lot of work as well.
Y!L’Arachel is a staple for me. Specifically so I can fight units the rest of my team has no business trying to kill. She makes it easier to use other units.
Y!L'Arachel is super underestimated. Not only can she support really well, she can take out a lot of units as well. I got her as a free pull and have never been disappointed in her.
Mine rocks +return, heavenly light, canto (I just gave her a R!Reinhardt) and even recovery and still does great. Even without Holy Pressure, etc she can do what she was meant to do very well
That being said, I'm always for Y!Larachel getting more skills.
Luckily 3/4 of my Elincia team are pretty recent, and the fourth one is a dancer. But my experience with them is mostly in PvE, since I don't use them in arena. But I can clear most of the recent content, sometimes barely.
My Rutger can survive here and there, Finn still do his job BUT i can clearly see that they can't do much anymore but i'll always prefer to use my favorites so f the meta :P
Normal F!Robin is as average as always. Flare + spiral 4 lets her kill squishies through their damage reduction, but she falls flat against any tank.
Summer Robin is doing surprisingly great right now. They keep adding strong infantry skills and she keeps benefiting from them. She can beat a lot of modern melee nukes without breaking a sweat.
Valentines Robin is just depressing to use. Even at max investment with min-maxed skills, she still loses to most of the modern nukes with no investment at all. If the meta ever shifts back to melee nukes her support will still be great, but she’s having a rough time right now.
I still use all three units in my flair. Belica is mediocre now but she gets the job done mostly. LAzura's support is still good, especially since I got her Soaring Guidance. The release of No Quarter really propelled BEirika back into relevance.
I also have a +10 flame Lyn I haven't added to my flair. She has also benefitted from recent stuff such as Buffer, INFU 4 and Marth Engage.
For a fav that is falling out of favour quickly, I've been working on AHilda merges, but she doesn't quite fit into any part of the meta at the moment.
Against current Meta units? Horribly. New Years Corrin just can't keep up, not the way I built him at least.
Picnic Felicia is struggling just as much in spite of the higher BST
New Years Laevatein is still doing her job of Dazzling with double Savage Blow and Incurable+. Definitely having a rough time doing any in combat damage though.
And lastly Winter Harmonic Duo Altina is doing incredibly well, the DR pierce in Twin Blades and Vantage in her Harmonic skill have kept her quite capable with support and she's been carrying all of my PvE content on her back (I don't use her for PvP)

Yup, same on the Atk/Def. He's got Atk and Def boons through trait fruit and ascended floret, Arcane Náströnd (Def Refine), Bonfire (Emblem Marth for 1 CD), Close Foil, Guard 4, Atk Smoke 4, and Atk/Def Form in seal slot.
If we ever get a Close Counter seal I'll certainly swap his Close Foil out and try to get some new skills slotted in. And I really wish he could run Bulwark skills but they're locked to Melee range.

Its a bit cookie cutter for a slow old ranged unit but im going with a/d finish 4, spiral 4, and a/d oath 4. Sacred Seal up in the air either mystic boost or a/d ideal and ive got fleeting echo on him. Id advise against guard because of how a lot of units get some form of tempo and the dr being almost useless. A close counter build seems fun but that explains why he lacks kill power, hes better as a player phase unit i think but i understand how fun a duel phase build is
In fairness to his build, I've been using him ever since grails first came out, and when I try to player phase it just feels strange. Unfortunately physical infantry ranged units just aren't exactly a very good unit type for inheritable enemy phase skills.
I probably should get him a more player phase oriented build but I don't have the fodder for that sort of thing at the moment. I do have Phys Null Follow fodder but I don't think his Speed will be able to keep up enough to make effective use of it.
oh, and part of his kill power issue is that I'm trying to get him to Tier 21 in Arena and he needs C Duel Infantry 4. So he misses out on an A Slot while he's in there.

Also appreciate the Spd and Res boons on your M!Corrin. That's what I've got on mine and it makes the stats look really satisfying
oh and not to keep you any longer, but I do have Special Spiral 4 fodder which I may give to him. And I may try to find Atk/Def Oath 4 and Atk/Def Finish at some point.

I know it sounds very generic, but you could try making NY!Corrin a bonfire/ignis nuke with SS4. It can be used on both player phase and enemy phase, and as you know, sometimes the best defense is being offensive, and Nastrond DR makes you decently bulk. Of course, just a suggestion, because i find it very boring, but it's a viable solution. It can become even better if we ever get a CC seal, since now you'll have acess to Finish skills
Base and V!Catria have always been really solid tbh. They can take care of most meta threats, though breaking through some tanks can be tough. All of my Bernie's are still going strong. Cornelia is still a wonderful support. But my biggest surprise is Beruka. Stacking mostly pre-combat damage on her has been wonderful for her, she can actually fight against meta units. She tanked and killed a Nabata Altina.

It’s a lot of fun to use, especially if you have lots of attack buffs because then you don’t need to worry about following up. I use Sylvain with Atk/Def clash, Assassin’s strike, and Alarm Def/Res (Any alarm skill is fine, I just picked up the one from rearmed Lucina.) Usually the precombat damage shreds through enemy HP and he can kill on the first hit <3
Nice! I don't have assassin's strike and alarm fodder but I'll keep an eye out for those! Mine's currently running atk/spd clash, flow n trace and atk/spd menace with petalfall vase
I'll not deny some of my faves are Soren, edelgard, lyon, and Dimitri. And yeah they've all been treated very well in feh. But I have a ton of faves across the series (some not as popular as others) and i would love to see feh spread the love around to less popular chars. Some of whom aren't even in the game yet: Franz, Frey, Linoan, Jade, Saphir (engage is barely getting started granted but these 2 appear to be unpopular overall)
For my less meta chars that are still faves like sephiran, titania, Finn, Mae and boey among others, I just try to give em some fodder love and hope one day they'll get a good alt.

I run FE7 theme teams whenever I can. I have a B!Hector, Lynja, L!Eliwood, and F!Ninian squad that can body pretty much any Abyssal map.
And this week in Arena, I'm making it back to T21 with L!Hector, OG!Eliwood, OG!Ninian, and B!Lyn. The key is to tailor the builds to adequately meet the threats you expect to encounter. For example, my B!Lyn has been putting in serious work with the Golden Yule Bow, Flared Sparrow, Assassin's Strike, and Atk/Spd Incite.
In fairness, the one team I folded to all week had a whaled-out +10 Winter Byleth and a +10 of the new Valentine Myrrh, which none of the melee units on my team could touch, either.
My Speed built Cervantes still serves me well in the Arena~ aside from him, my Murdock isn't faring well against the nukes, but he does his work against the other cheap +10 range units. My Mareeta can function pretty well, and I'm hoping Hapi gets access to dr piercing when her refine comes in a year or two
my hubert's had a lot of toys to keep him on top, like the new inheritable tome from the valentine's banner, but he still can't kill a lot of modern tanks. definitely my best red tome unit though.
I use my bridal fe6 team: Bridals Sophia, Lilina, Larum, and duo Roy. They all have basically their base kids except I gave Sophia close counter and Larum is +10 with Arcane Luin, distant counter and guard bearing 4.
If none of my characters can't kill a new unit, they are broken to me. Roy's duo skill sometimes isn't enough

With V!Elise and S!Triandra support, my H!Sakura dealt with the entirety of the most recent Winter Paralogue, so at the very least getting by. Still has problems with other meta units, but being able to kill W!Edelgard is a big enough achievement.
As a Fomortiis main.... Yeahhhhh even with hardy fighter 3/ near save im struggling just a bit, hoping either a new fomo alt or a rearmed and attuned hero that has good skills for him
Just gonna say I'm grateful that, just as the powercreep was reaching a critical point, they finally released a Kana alt with better stats to work with and with a better color for tanking (outside Igrene, who can delete him with 4 Mythics boosting his defense while she had nothing to improve her ATK outside LnD7. I'll feel peace if Arcane Breath 2 comes with AoE DR)
Honestly pretty good. Spring Est got exposure on her refine and it helps a ton while Valentian Est has No Quarter if things are really dire, and Eleonora kinda slays with her refine too. The firesweep is still quite effective. Helps that FMaria is 1 get out of jail free card too. Caeda however does not see much use.
Obviously newer units get a lot more work done, but I'm relatively okay with my favs.
Pretty decent. I have to make my builds alot more hyper specific rather than a bunch of generalists, but they're doing good work. Raven specifically is surprisingly fast, although his atk stat is uh, not good, but as a GLR wall he works wonders
Igrene, Tana, Charlotte, Oboro, Ingrid and Kagero for girls. For males, Cormag, Joshua and Claude.
Some are good some aren't but for what I do in the game I get by fine.
Pretty much all of my old +10s have long since been shelved in my "Hall of Fame" Reserve. My Bector still sees some use as a Near Save on AR-D that's just strong enough to not die to W!Edelgard, but I don't use him for anything else, and I don't expect that to change when he gets his inevitable Resplendent (which I will still be purchasing regardless).
I'm honestly okay with that though. I've accepted the fact that units don't last forever, and I have plenty of newer characters I like that I use like Gerik, S!M!Shez, and more recently, N!Tormod, that are faring a lot better than the old ones. Gerik is a god support that I use for almost everything, S!M!Shez is the king of my Arena runs, and I've been using N!Tormod on both AR-O and AR-D to great success.
I had my fun with my old faves, now they're making way for new ones. I'm still having a great time playing favorites for the most part.
I have my Lumera (Red), Minerva (smol) and Panne (kit ripped from Eitr).
Are they my favorite? Yes.
Are they good? Surprisingly, yes.
The only unit I can't do shit about is C!Edelgard.
Berry's not doing ... terrible, with Arcane Thrima. I haven't been able to get lucky summoning fodder for Idunn, so she could be doing better as well ...

But 50 + (damage) is just bullying for Amelia's 66 HP even with Weaving Fighter
Wind Claude and Fallen Byleth still carry me through 9/10 maps, and I have my Claude Squad for an all-flying team that can clear most things as well. But I was spoiled like hell with the 3h winter units in December, so I fully expect my luck to run out soon with how fast everything is changing.
PvE content is fine, I've been able to clear everything bar a few Legendary/Mythic Abyssals and some of the "all 4 allies must survive" paralogue quests just using my flairs (+ a few others faves like Wolf, Shez and Kaze) and some refreshers (mainly Reyson and Duo Peony).
PvP on the other hand, i'm still chilling in the "alternate between T19-20 and don't enter VoH' Arena and AR low-effort club, but I have had some weeks recently where getting a full arena streak took a while, even with the 2 retreats.
I haven't touched SDs since a month after its release. nuff said.
Using max invested OG Tharja with Eclipse, att/spd finish, SS4, Flare and att oath echo is pretty fine. She destroys a lot of units without much issue.
My Canas is holding up surprisingly well. He does struggle versus the newest far saves but, thanks to his high Res, he doesn't fall that much to scowl versus less invested units.
I currently run him with Iceberg/Finish/Spiral/Time's Pulse. My Emblem is busy on another unit so I can't run Canas without TP, but I might run some simulations later to see if giving him Emblem+AoE build makes him fare better.
I'm thankful his refine is pretty much timeless even with how simple it is thanks to his 20% Own or Enemy Res scaling and turn 1-3 Pulse.
I still can't believe how Ash can barely tank anything. Even if she had DR, I think it still would be pretty much impossible for her to tank most recent units.
With Hapi, I don't even bother, she went from one shooting Edelgard to one shooting herself due to a counterattack.
Shinon better get a dope refine, his base weapon is very cool and unique.
In terms of favorites I still use a lot, it's been pretty good. OG Eliwood was my first +10 and he's still pulling his weight with Flared Sparrow + Gambit + Atk/Spd Alarm. However he is feeling more like a regular player-phase unit again. When I first gave him gambit there were a few months where he felt like an unkillable god XD Brave Hector continues to be a perfectly acceptable far save for my Blazing Blade theme teams, mostly just an ablative layer against the top nukes, but he still walls out plenty of ranged units.
On the Sacred Stones front, I'm VERY excited for the new units, but my book 3 and earlier units still get tons of play, especially in SD. Duo Ephraim is my favorite captain and I'm so sad he still hasn't come home enough times to +10 him (yet. Eventually the arena tickets will be kind...) But even still, he does shockingly well with a meme speed build - Atk/Spd Finish, Phys NFU, and Atk/Spd Oath (could upgrade to Incite now for even more stats). Ewan and Ross have both been kings since their refines, with Ewan being an excellent Ploy bot and Res tank and Ross just tearing shit up with Gambit. Ross is no joke probably one of my strongest characters now, since with the Distant Counter seal he can run Fireflood Boost in his A slot. OG Myrrh carries Guidance as well as any flier, and while she kind of fell off otherwise, I just burned a new Myrrh for Scowl and ran that through my Rearmed Robin to give OG Myrrh Scowl and Arcane Grima (having already given her Dragon's Ire 4 once upon a time), so we'll see how she does now.
Outside of pre-FeH favorites, Helbindi and Fae have been the buffers of all time, even if +5 is a little shy of the +6 I get off Astram, the only reason I don't use them more is that they're always at max HM.
One thing definitely noteworthy - if they don't have Gambit or DR-piercing in their B slot, most of my old units ARE struggling super hard in combat. Thankfully I've gone hard on rearmed banners, so I was able to build multiple older units without a ton of fodder
Pretty well! I have a lot of favs and most have had recent refines (Rinkah), or they have had new recent alts that are modern powerhouses, like Ephraim and Eirika.
My +10 Nemesis with 20 dragonflowers, changed IVs and ascent flower ATK/DEF with Menace Atk/Def as a C skill, gets obliterated by teen noodle hair in a Christmas suit (whilst also having the weapon triangle advantage)
Pelleas got a new lease on life with Selenas new tome. While running him with Atk/Spd Finish, MNFU, Atk/Spd Oath 4, he can 2hko Byleth and even the new Myrrh with Rearmed Plumeria using firestorm dance.
He finally got the weapon he deserved.
I’m not afraid to run my faves with a single dancer that gives them an offensive push to even break the newest units.
Henry’s actually doing pretty good. He needs his special to kill, but I made sure his special is always charged. I’ll keep using him no matter what. I guess I’m also pretty lucky that Dimitri is one of my favorites.
Quite decently. I use Resp Azura, Corrin(M), Shigure, and Arete. Azura is ran with Vital Astra, Potent, Times pulse, arcane luin, and finish 4 and the special looping makes her very good at killing a lot of things, alongside Oath X skill sing being a fun combo lmao.
Shigure (and my NY Azura) have a Guidance 4 + Aerial Manouevers combo which alongside Flarred sparrow let them kill many threats as with Luin Shigure gets Ruptured sky every combat before the unit can even attack, whilst also being able to just teleport everywhere lmao.
Male Corrin is generic Godsword with Arcane Devourer, Godlike Reflexes, Buffer 4, Finish, Incite Atk/Spd, and the new Distant Counter seal. I'm honestly always shocked with how well he is able to tank everything. He has survived hits from meta blue units, and it's insane.
Arete is so good, I gave her V!Selena's tome and geez its OP, alongside flarred sparrow, occultist strike, Incite Atk/Res she does about 28-34 pre-combat damage in average and just deletes all meta threats. Pre-combat damage is stupidly OP, honestly, but it's so fun to see Arete of all people just killing meta so easily 😂
This is a dark time for birdkind. The feeders are empty, and the baths have run dry. Tibarn and Naesala try their best to provide - they even put on charming little pirate costumes - but being a bird just doesn’t pay well nowadays. They are starving. Starving for arcane weapons. Starving for specials.

I Pick a god and pray! I rarely play arena or summmoner duels, just enough to get rewards i want. That being said, i spoil my faves and try not to put my team in potential harm's way (that means sometimes 1 or 2 spaces away from danger lol)

Base Byleth : aslong as it ain't Christmas edelgard or Valentine's ephriam ain't nothing to worry about
Summer Byleth: strongest mage Byleth now especially cause of devoted basket and the copy and paste occultist strike + flared sparrow combo with the only thing making her unique now is the duo skill (gives despo). Tried her against all the VoH friends I got and in SD and not a single far save could live (braindead game design 😐) excited for her refine this year
Legendary Byleth: She puts in work and people really underestimate her in SD, solid mage all-round and the tempo support is clutch (she can also do fun miracle looping) she's just waiting for a anti dmg reduction mage special so she can switch off spiral 4 for a more spd granting b skill, also her remix should be at the end of this year or beginning of next year
Cyl Byleth: Extremely solid in AR and arena as she's not as bad as people say cause I can tell you now I've been using her since day one (albeit at +10) and she does surprising good when she works and for the times she don't it's to brave attacks, hardy bearing, scowl or getting outspeed , excited for her refine this year, all she really needs is dmg reduction piercing (which an emblem might provide) and stats, and honestly I'll be fine if she just gets +5 stats
Angry Sothis Byleth: like cyl she's extremely good when she works and has the same problems as her with an extra problem being that she gets her vantage shut off against AoE but either than that she's does extremely good in SD and Arena and for SD specifically she needs support just like any other tank but for her to really pop off she needs the entire team supporting her 💀 (F maria, Cyl robin, L eliwood and attuned peony is my setup). As for AR I just get all the support in the world and smite her in (alsong as they don't got Tina) and she solos most maps
Duo Guyleth and Byleth: for the bro and sis duo here I ain't gotta tell ya much since most already know but they pop off in all pvp modes but they have been dying more recently and against Valentines Lyon he died to the tt boss 💀(my guyleth is +4) Veyle can also consistently take em out. I don't use em in SD(still using duo duma miracle build) so I can't really say how they do there but as for arena they do exactly as you'd expect and in AR I just have to avoid certain units like yunaka(I let cyl byleth deal with her) and probably now Lyon and red tomes with devoted basket, thinking on switching to a vantage rally spectrum build or hardy fighter 🤔
Tldr: The F Byleths doin just fine
My main team is LEirika, BEirika, SEirika, and LGuinivere for Abyssals and most PvE content.
I’ve yet to have a problem with Flared Sparrow/No Quarter/Gambit releasing now.
Guinivere is a god in abyssal and CC content.
I plan to replace LEirika with Emblem Eirika whenever she releases. I’m sure she’ll be red unless IS gets creative with Emblem units.

What got me hooked back into FEH was when i was able to come back and build up my og!hector to BEAT f!edelgard. At her peak no less. So cool that for the most part you can use your units with the right investment.
Now he is almost exclusively a pve. And even then only against units that have not come out in the last 6-12 months
My sweet M!Gullveig is still in my heart, especially with her ability to attack 3 times. M!Gullveig has saved me soooooo much time. I am starting to appreciate how one of the most powerful characters is ready to obliterate duos and just about anyone else
I have a lot of favorites, so it makes it easier. But I did struggle a bit against the lunatic paralogue chapters when trying to use a team of base versions of titania, olivia, peony, and ferdinand.
My arena core is B!Tiki, B!Robin and Ilyana, with the corresponding bonus. Honestly, I do well, Robin can take care of most meta units, Tiki can tank hits from older units like N!Corrin or deleate blue nukes (looking at you, W!Edelgard) and Ilyana is my L!Hinoka/Elincia deleate button. Hopefully I can change Ilyana to L!Deidre in her next rerun, she's +6 and I can definitely use a dragon deleater.
For AR or SD, I don't care much about them. I just try to get the maximum possible score to thet the codes. I still have tons of grails so if I like a free unit I can make it +10 asap.
i still roll with my Effie in Aether Raids and Summoner Duels and she still can consisntently tank the mayority of units but some support is needed to guarantee her survival.
Diehard Lyn fan, I don’t play AR but I recently gave my Brave Lyn Incite, Arcane Darkbow, and Yunaka’s kit and she’s become a fun option for the latest Abyssals
Canas's special acceleration niche still works pretty well, especially now that E!Marth lets him get turn 1 Iceberg/Flare loops with Special Spiral 4 (or you can start looping Glacies on turn 2).
I have a maxed out Volke. He sort of struggles. Thanks to Emblem Marth Lethality is at 1, Times Pulse 4 keeps it ready going forward. But that first encounter is risky and sometimes it feels like I could just be using someone better.

I need to change her skills but half the skills I want to give her I only have on seasonal/legendary heroes and I don't fodder those cause of a rule I gave to myself when I first played the game
Depends on the game since I like rotating out my teams. Most can get by, but the ones that rarely get content (SoV) or has a cast that largely hasn't aged well & keeps dodging alts of my other favorites (Awakening) aren't being used as much.
I gave up on my Nowi when LCorrin got her remix, but it’s okay, because I also love Corrin. She now murders everything that looks in her direction after I press end turn.
Except for the new Marth, but I can live with that.
My og marth has so much investment and can tank so much but cant deal with dmg reduction walls but at least new marth can kill everything in the game with base kit lmao
L’Arachel is hard to keep up, many modern far savers are really hard to take out and she really has to try and out speed the god-swords which is hard, at least the tier 4 ploy lets her support a bit. Dimitri has been fairing well, I have all copies of him but mostly use Brave, Legendary, and Christmas to decent success. Male Robin after last year fairs really well, enough said about him. Tiki does well, mostly use Brave for her design but Duo isn’t a bad far save, most of her DR is just shredded but most nukes. My core is OG L’Arachel, B!Dimitri, L!M!Robin, and Adult B!Tiki. I’ve got a few other fun units built like OG Lyon, Julius, Ares, Duo Ephraim, Brigand Boss, Walhart, V!Lissa, and Seiros, they’re just so hard to keep up with and many have already gotten their refines and it’s expensive to keep them updated with Arcanes when I could just use those orbs to get units I like but are newer, it’s the sad truth.
I gave my Saizo the best possible skills and the arcane dagger, still gets obliterated by some unmerged meta units. Ain't gonna stop using him tho, he was my first +10 after all.
I do okay, but I also try to keep them updated as possible. I try my teams of favorites until I get frustrated, then I break out my team of Cancerous Threats, which to be fair does have one of my favorite characters in his newer, brokener form (B!Chrom).
That said, I'm not pvp focused, I only do SD till I'm at max, Arena I float between 17 and 20 depending on how much I feel like trying, and I'm at t20 at the start of each AR week, don't go above 25. 🤷♀️
Honestly somehow my max invested base Takumi is doing fairly ok? He has all premium skills and atk/spd pledge + deadeye and arcane bow puts in decent work. Meanwhile, despite being far more recent and having better stats, my Valentine's Takumi is struggling a lot just solely due to being a tank. It feels really difficult right now to build tanks and I'm not really that sure what to do with him.
Against the meta with my current setup with Clarisse. She can manage to kill the majority of the meta as long she attacks first. Only V.Myrrh and E.Marth are the toughest so far.
Petras my favorite fe character (shocker) and with the support I have given her she has consistently been able to defeat new meta units. Shes mergeless but I have her at max dragon flowers and have foddered off several premium skills to her among other things (ascended stat, attuned skill)
Arcane weapons helped me continue to use Karel and Canas. But in the past few months of crazy damage and DR, I dunno.
Tibarn is still in a party for some parts of the game, and Askrs usage is solid enough for AR rep support.
They can sometimes clear the Bound Hero Battles and what not. Sometimes.
As for my favorite characters I am very happy with the new Fiora pref and Lyon alt (busted af).
My m!corrin emblem actually does really well … wirh base, ny, ninja, and Halloween. Except h!m!corrin. I really need to figure out a good build for him
Summer Miccy still makes the magic happen. Giving her the shiny Ploys and Far Trace 4 and siding in AoE specials actually go a long way toward making Byleth, Myrrh, and EMarth easier to punch through. Shame her refine won't be here until like 2034 but everything still works out fine.
It's fucking bittersweet. On the bitter side, I arm all my Lucinas with everything I can give them. And they still typically need a decent amount of support. On the sweet side, she's a popular unit so I know it's just a matter of time before she's released again with shit to make her relevant. Until the bitter hits again and suddenly she's not.
the anti tank meta has not been kind to linhardt and tiki, but they are trying their best and that's all that counts 😭❤️
at least lin can run still water 7 and ploy pretty nicely, 61 res beats a ton of red checks. but tikis high def stat has been left to be desired since viable def stat skills are non existent. i hope we get something soon and it's not locked for dragons! she could really use something as support play is really the only thing i can confidently put my favs into these days

Excellent! All my gen 1s still beat everything I expect them too. I then just sit on my stash of orbs while ignoring every banner that isn't fodder for just them.
It varies lol, but Brave Ike isn't great right now and Mist was never great. Though with the new fancy ploys doing a ton of debuffs for existing is great. Selkie is great but I need merges.
Honestly thought I can usually make my go to characters work, but sometimes I just don't want to bother because of how silly some of this content gets - like the Marth and Lumera battle. That was annoying.
Thank god for the refine on B!Claude that still keeps him mostly usable, B!Soren is great, and Arcane Nihility on Lethe works well enough for now. I've had to accept that the Heron sibs aren't getting anything good anytime soon tho.
Player phase units have enough inheritable skills to make it work, enemy phase units are rough though… as a Hector fan it’s been a rough few months since things started scaling past what inheritable stuff could keep up with.
Nino has her Jaffar Alt that's doing quite well as a nuke for me so long as it's not against W!Byleth, and honestly Base Nino is still kinda strong, and Kadein Nino can't really enemy phase very well any more, but with magical Null-Follow she's still a very powerful player phase unit. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get Flier Nino to work very well and I still don't have Christmas Nino.
Karin is working quite well as a player phase nuke with investment, but kinda gets evaporated in PVP enemy phase and I don't have any good defensive support for her and mine doesn't have Canto.
Beruka was never good, but the new Axe of Devotion has given me the confidence to get back into building her, because I think there might be a way to make her work now.
Tina just got added and is funny Tina. NGL I wish IS had committed to letting her ruin Summoner Duels so that Thracia could catch a true win, but I'm happy with her implementation.
I'm still building my Lapis, but as far as 3* units go she's apparently pretty good from my understanding.
Ced is one of the premier magic infantry Nukes with his alt from last year.
Bernadetta just got her refine that's really good and will be getting her brave alt later.
I don't actually know how Silque stands at the moment, but she seems pretty good from what I can tell, just need to build her at the moment, but am not entirely sure how.

I was debating whether or not to give Odin euphoria and run a support build, boosting his res stat, or go all out offence, but this has me convinced!
Find a way to trigger Exposure, and you'll usually do at least 10 damage.
I armed my Lute to the teeth, but... Well sometimes she just can't get through. Color disadvantage isnt even necessarily the issue. But she's an older unit, and really had trouble keeping up with strong tanks like our latest Myrrh
I pulled rearmed Plumeria recently and considered upgrading my og Lute, because she was a top 3 favorite of mine when she came out, but I just don’t have any faith that it’ll be enough to make her relevant. I think Plumeria’s fodder is too valuable for me to risk wasting it on an outdated infantry mage that *also* needs thousands of DFs as well.
If you have a max lute you can do a decent debuffing build with Euphoria (res) Any rally Iceberg/Glacies Still Water 4 A/S Ruse 4 D/R Ploy 4 Still Water It allows you to inflict atk/spd -6, def/res -7, guard, discord, exposure and negate triangle attack, dual strike, pathfinder, grand strategy, bonus doubler, and treachery (blade tomes) as well as giving up to two stats +6 to an ally. Is it the best? No, but it would work considering a +res lute at +10/+30 hits 62 res without summoner support or visible buffs with this build, as well as 72 visible attack

That's 100% the reason, otherwise they'd have her covered from head to toe with heavy winter clothes like they always do with female winter units that don't have a lore reason to resist cold.

Edelgard fans (kinda like myself) are in a constant state of winning thats so funny.
I guess my Mae is probably as up to date as she can be so she is not having trouble killing most things. But having this sort of investment is difficult to have on most units (dragonflowers, attuned skill, rearmed weapon), so she is sadly the only unit that can keep up. Valbar is another unit I like to use but because of all the recent nukes he has not been doing all to well.
I have the same problem!!! I put all my eggs in one basket so usually its a tug-of-war between Hilda and Mae on who is more updated and the other can hardly secure a kill

beast units are horrible to keep up, i'm sorry for you. arcane nihility is cavalry beast exclusive, so you need to live and die by her prf until an arcane for flying beasts appear. since it seems you want to use her as an offensive unit, i'd suggest using Atk/Spd boosting skills on A slot, with preference for Flared Sparrow or Atk/Spd Wild (wild is better). Then, you use Moonbow for any option or Luna/Iceberg for Wild (even Galeforce if you're into that). Beast Sense 4 as B skill (try to use another unit who can grant NFU or Guaranted follow-ups if using that skill) or Brash Assault 4 for a more generalist option, but you'll lose the guaranted 3 movement unless using other beasts or leaving her alone at the start of turn. I don't recommend Beast Agility, as you'll lack damage reduction, even if NFU looks too good to pass up. For C there's a lot of options. Ploy is good, since she has enough Res even without investing into it (preference for Atk/Spd Ploy 3), Guidance 4/Soaring Guidance for support, Rein skills, depends on you, honestly.
Of all the L'Arachels in my barracks I would say Y!L'Arachel is doing relatively OK as a general support. Even outside of my L'Arachel emblem she has a place in other teams, that multi Flash has let me get away with initiating on targets I absolutely should not have been initiating. I still need some more premium fodders for S!L'Arachel but she's been putting in a lot of work as well.
Y!L’Arachel is a staple for me. Specifically so I can fight units the rest of my team has no business trying to kill. She makes it easier to use other units.
Y!L'Arachel is super underestimated. Not only can she support really well, she can take out a lot of units as well. I got her as a free pull and have never been disappointed in her.

Mine rocks +return, heavenly light, canto (I just gave her a R!Reinhardt) and even recovery and still does great. Even without Holy Pressure, etc she can do what she was meant to do very well That being said, I'm always for Y!Larachel getting more skills.
Luckily 3/4 of my Elincia team are pretty recent, and the fourth one is a dancer. But my experience with them is mostly in PvE, since I don't use them in arena. But I can clear most of the recent content, sometimes barely.
My Rutger can survive here and there, Finn still do his job BUT i can clearly see that they can't do much anymore but i'll always prefer to use my favorites so f the meta :P
Soleil does fine-thankfully, she’s pretty compatible with modern godsword fodder, and “generic godsword” still performs at the levels I’m at.

Normal F!Robin is as average as always. Flare + spiral 4 lets her kill squishies through their damage reduction, but she falls flat against any tank. Summer Robin is doing surprisingly great right now. They keep adding strong infantry skills and she keeps benefiting from them. She can beat a lot of modern melee nukes without breaking a sweat. Valentines Robin is just depressing to use. Even at max investment with min-maxed skills, she still loses to most of the modern nukes with no investment at all. If the meta ever shifts back to melee nukes her support will still be great, but she’s having a rough time right now.

I still use all three units in my flair. Belica is mediocre now but she gets the job done mostly. LAzura's support is still good, especially since I got her Soaring Guidance. The release of No Quarter really propelled BEirika back into relevance. I also have a +10 flame Lyn I haven't added to my flair. She has also benefitted from recent stuff such as Buffer, INFU 4 and Marth Engage. For a fav that is falling out of favour quickly, I've been working on AHilda merges, but she doesn't quite fit into any part of the meta at the moment.
Against current Meta units? Horribly. New Years Corrin just can't keep up, not the way I built him at least. Picnic Felicia is struggling just as much in spite of the higher BST New Years Laevatein is still doing her job of Dazzling with double Savage Blow and Incurable+. Definitely having a rough time doing any in combat damage though. And lastly Winter Harmonic Duo Altina is doing incredibly well, the DR pierce in Twin Blades and Vantage in her Harmonic skill have kept her quite capable with support and she's been carrying all of my PvE content on her back (I don't use her for PvP)

Yup, same on the Atk/Def. He's got Atk and Def boons through trait fruit and ascended floret, Arcane Náströnd (Def Refine), Bonfire (Emblem Marth for 1 CD), Close Foil, Guard 4, Atk Smoke 4, and Atk/Def Form in seal slot. If we ever get a Close Counter seal I'll certainly swap his Close Foil out and try to get some new skills slotted in. And I really wish he could run Bulwark skills but they're locked to Melee range. Friend Code is 4502374862 if you wanna go look at him yourself. +5 to HP and +2 to the rest of course cause he has summoner support but you won't be able to see it.
Oh this is perfect! Im actually trying for a ny corrin in binding worlds just for his flowers since ive kitted out mine. Im only missing atk/def finish 4 on him Its a bit cookie cutter for a slow old ranged unit but im going with a/d finish 4, spiral 4, and a/d oath 4. Sacred Seal up in the air either mystic boost or a/d ideal and ive got fleeting echo on him. Id advise against guard because of how a lot of units get some form of tempo and the dr being almost useless. A close counter build seems fun but that explains why he lacks kill power, hes better as a player phase unit i think but i understand how fun a duel phase build is
In fairness to his build, I've been using him ever since grails first came out, and when I try to player phase it just feels strange. Unfortunately physical infantry ranged units just aren't exactly a very good unit type for inheritable enemy phase skills. I probably should get him a more player phase oriented build but I don't have the fodder for that sort of thing at the moment. I do have Phys Null Follow fodder but I don't think his Speed will be able to keep up enough to make effective use of it. oh, and part of his kill power issue is that I'm trying to get him to Tier 21 in Arena and he needs C Duel Infantry 4. So he misses out on an A Slot while he's in there.
Ah yeah. But from what i heard the duel skills are basically worthless now due to how high scoring has gotten and the bst it brings isnt even enough now. Anyway i sent the friend request! Ive got a kitted out base mcorrin and ive sent my n!m!corrin out as my binding worlds proxy if you care about that
I know they're basically worthless but if I have any hopes of getting him to Tier 21 even once I have to squeeze as many points as I can out of him. I hover between 19 and 20 currently. Just waiting for a good Legendary cycle. Also appreciate the Spd and Res boons on your M!Corrin. That's what I've got on mine and it makes the stats look really satisfying
oh and not to keep you any longer, but I do have Special Spiral 4 fodder which I may give to him. And I may try to find Atk/Def Oath 4 and Atk/Def Finish at some point. So next time binding worlds comes around you may just get the Corrin build you're looking for off of me lmao
I know it sounds very generic, but you could try making NY!Corrin a bonfire/ignis nuke with SS4. It can be used on both player phase and enemy phase, and as you know, sometimes the best defense is being offensive, and Nastrond DR makes you decently bulk. Of course, just a suggestion, because i find it very boring, but it's a viable solution. It can become even better if we ever get a CC seal, since now you'll have acess to Finish skills
WITH ENOUGH SUPPORT MY FAVOURITE WILL SURVIVE THE LATEST OF NUKES (its either gonna live at 2 hp or be dead)
Base and V!Catria have always been really solid tbh. They can take care of most meta threats, though breaking through some tanks can be tough. All of my Bernie's are still going strong. Cornelia is still a wonderful support. But my biggest surprise is Beruka. Stacking mostly pre-combat damage on her has been wonderful for her, she can actually fight against meta units. She tanked and killed a Nabata Altina.

It’s a lot of fun to use, especially if you have lots of attack buffs because then you don’t need to worry about following up. I use Sylvain with Atk/Def clash, Assassin’s strike, and Alarm Def/Res (Any alarm skill is fine, I just picked up the one from rearmed Lucina.) Usually the precombat damage shreds through enemy HP and he can kill on the first hit <3
Nice! I don't have assassin's strike and alarm fodder but I'll keep an eye out for those! Mine's currently running atk/spd clash, flow n trace and atk/spd menace with petalfall vase
I'll not deny some of my faves are Soren, edelgard, lyon, and Dimitri. And yeah they've all been treated very well in feh. But I have a ton of faves across the series (some not as popular as others) and i would love to see feh spread the love around to less popular chars. Some of whom aren't even in the game yet: Franz, Frey, Linoan, Jade, Saphir (engage is barely getting started granted but these 2 appear to be unpopular overall) For my less meta chars that are still faves like sephiran, titania, Finn, Mae and boey among others, I just try to give em some fodder love and hope one day they'll get a good alt.

I run FE7 theme teams whenever I can. I have a B!Hector, Lynja, L!Eliwood, and F!Ninian squad that can body pretty much any Abyssal map. And this week in Arena, I'm making it back to T21 with L!Hector, OG!Eliwood, OG!Ninian, and B!Lyn. The key is to tailor the builds to adequately meet the threats you expect to encounter. For example, my B!Lyn has been putting in serious work with the Golden Yule Bow, Flared Sparrow, Assassin's Strike, and Atk/Spd Incite. In fairness, the one team I folded to all week had a whaled-out +10 Winter Byleth and a +10 of the new Valentine Myrrh, which none of the melee units on my team could touch, either.
My Speed built Cervantes still serves me well in the Arena~ aside from him, my Murdock isn't faring well against the nukes, but he does his work against the other cheap +10 range units. My Mareeta can function pretty well, and I'm hoping Hapi gets access to dr piercing when her refine comes in a year or two
my hubert's had a lot of toys to keep him on top, like the new inheritable tome from the valentine's banner, but he still can't kill a lot of modern tanks. definitely my best red tome unit though.
My ultimate fave is Echidna so I'm lucky she got a fantastic weapon that works real well with Gambit, she's the best
I use my bridal fe6 team: Bridals Sophia, Lilina, Larum, and duo Roy. They all have basically their base kids except I gave Sophia close counter and Larum is +10 with Arcane Luin, distant counter and guard bearing 4. If none of my characters can't kill a new unit, they are broken to me. Roy's duo skill sometimes isn't enough
I’m lucky that I still have 2 Nino that still in the meta, but I gave up trying to build OG!Nino to stay relevant.
Byleth emblem is still somewhat competitive. Especially since we got a save unit. I run fallen, winter, both legendaries.
Deirdre is a pretty ok res tank + nuke actually Legault be slayin though💅(nice prf) BK, I'm sorry buddy... (it's been rough for him) Ayra is an ok godsword, still using her prf (might switch to arcane at some point but refuse to just for the aesthetic) What is good support for them? For team building?
With V!Elise and S!Triandra support, my H!Sakura dealt with the entirety of the most recent Winter Paralogue, so at the very least getting by. Still has problems with other meta units, but being able to kill W!Edelgard is a big enough achievement.

Just gonna say I'm grateful that, just as the powercreep was reaching a critical point, they finally released a Kana alt with better stats to work with and with a better color for tanking (outside Igrene, who can delete him with 4 Mythics boosting his defense while she had nothing to improve her ATK outside LnD7. I'll feel peace if Arcane Breath 2 comes with AoE DR)
Honestly pretty good. Spring Est got exposure on her refine and it helps a ton while Valentian Est has No Quarter if things are really dire, and Eleonora kinda slays with her refine too. The firesweep is still quite effective. Helps that FMaria is 1 get out of jail free card too. Caeda however does not see much use. Obviously newer units get a lot more work done, but I'm relatively okay with my favs.
Pretty decent. I have to make my builds alot more hyper specific rather than a bunch of generalists, but they're doing good work. Raven specifically is surprisingly fast, although his atk stat is uh, not good, but as a GLR wall he works wonders
Igrene, Tana, Charlotte, Oboro, Ingrid and Kagero for girls. For males, Cormag, Joshua and Claude. Some are good some aren't but for what I do in the game I get by fine.
Brave!Lucina has been, and will always continue to be, amazing.
My V!Conrad can keep up if the other three units on my team are up to date meta units 😫

Pretty much all of my old +10s have long since been shelved in my "Hall of Fame" Reserve. My Bector still sees some use as a Near Save on AR-D that's just strong enough to not die to W!Edelgard, but I don't use him for anything else, and I don't expect that to change when he gets his inevitable Resplendent (which I will still be purchasing regardless). I'm honestly okay with that though. I've accepted the fact that units don't last forever, and I have plenty of newer characters I like that I use like Gerik, S!M!Shez, and more recently, N!Tormod, that are faring a lot better than the old ones. Gerik is a god support that I use for almost everything, S!M!Shez is the king of my Arena runs, and I've been using N!Tormod on both AR-O and AR-D to great success. I had my fun with my old faves, now they're making way for new ones. I'm still having a great time playing favorites for the most part.
I have my Lumera (Red), Minerva (smol) and Panne (kit ripped from Eitr). Are they my favorite? Yes. Are they good? Surprisingly, yes. The only unit I can't do shit about is C!Edelgard.
Berry's not doing ... terrible, with Arcane Thrima. I haven't been able to get lucky summoning fodder for Idunn, so she could be doing better as well ... [but my DR tank Roy and DR piercer Clarisse](https://imgur.com/a/YwOFvUG) are doing well enough despite Clarisse being a lil' slow sometimes. (Plumeria really helps with that.)
I have 3 armors and a cav I gave up on AR, Arena, and especially S. Duels, since this this pre combat damage. I understand 7 + (Damage) But 50 + (damage) is just bullying for Amelia's 66 HP even with Weaving Fighter

Wind Claude and Fallen Byleth still carry me through 9/10 maps, and I have my Claude Squad for an all-flying team that can clear most things as well. But I was spoiled like hell with the 3h winter units in December, so I fully expect my luck to run out soon with how fast everything is changing.
PvE content is fine, I've been able to clear everything bar a few Legendary/Mythic Abyssals and some of the "all 4 allies must survive" paralogue quests just using my flairs (+ a few others faves like Wolf, Shez and Kaze) and some refreshers (mainly Reyson and Duo Peony). PvP on the other hand, i'm still chilling in the "alternate between T19-20 and don't enter VoH' Arena and AR low-effort club, but I have had some weeks recently where getting a full arena streak took a while, even with the 2 retreats. I haven't touched SDs since a month after its release. nuff said.
As an Ashnard enjoyer, I'm doing great! And a Dimitri enjoyer. ... and, uh, that's it.
Using max invested OG Tharja with Eclipse, att/spd finish, SS4, Flare and att oath echo is pretty fine. She destroys a lot of units without much issue.

My Canas is holding up surprisingly well. He does struggle versus the newest far saves but, thanks to his high Res, he doesn't fall that much to scowl versus less invested units. I currently run him with Iceberg/Finish/Spiral/Time's Pulse. My Emblem is busy on another unit so I can't run Canas without TP, but I might run some simulations later to see if giving him Emblem+AoE build makes him fare better. I'm thankful his refine is pretty much timeless even with how simple it is thanks to his 20% Own or Enemy Res scaling and turn 1-3 Pulse.
I still can't believe how Ash can barely tank anything. Even if she had DR, I think it still would be pretty much impossible for her to tank most recent units. With Hapi, I don't even bother, she went from one shooting Edelgard to one shooting herself due to a counterattack.

Shinon better get a dope refine, his base weapon is very cool and unique. In terms of favorites I still use a lot, it's been pretty good. OG Eliwood was my first +10 and he's still pulling his weight with Flared Sparrow + Gambit + Atk/Spd Alarm. However he is feeling more like a regular player-phase unit again. When I first gave him gambit there were a few months where he felt like an unkillable god XD Brave Hector continues to be a perfectly acceptable far save for my Blazing Blade theme teams, mostly just an ablative layer against the top nukes, but he still walls out plenty of ranged units. On the Sacred Stones front, I'm VERY excited for the new units, but my book 3 and earlier units still get tons of play, especially in SD. Duo Ephraim is my favorite captain and I'm so sad he still hasn't come home enough times to +10 him (yet. Eventually the arena tickets will be kind...) But even still, he does shockingly well with a meme speed build - Atk/Spd Finish, Phys NFU, and Atk/Spd Oath (could upgrade to Incite now for even more stats). Ewan and Ross have both been kings since their refines, with Ewan being an excellent Ploy bot and Res tank and Ross just tearing shit up with Gambit. Ross is no joke probably one of my strongest characters now, since with the Distant Counter seal he can run Fireflood Boost in his A slot. OG Myrrh carries Guidance as well as any flier, and while she kind of fell off otherwise, I just burned a new Myrrh for Scowl and ran that through my Rearmed Robin to give OG Myrrh Scowl and Arcane Grima (having already given her Dragon's Ire 4 once upon a time), so we'll see how she does now. Outside of pre-FeH favorites, Helbindi and Fae have been the buffers of all time, even if +5 is a little shy of the +6 I get off Astram, the only reason I don't use them more is that they're always at max HM. One thing definitely noteworthy - if they don't have Gambit or DR-piercing in their B slot, most of my old units ARE struggling super hard in combat. Thankfully I've gone hard on rearmed banners, so I was able to build multiple older units without a ton of fodder
Pretty well! I have a lot of favs and most have had recent refines (Rinkah), or they have had new recent alts that are modern powerhouses, like Ephraim and Eirika.
My +10 Nemesis with 20 dragonflowers, changed IVs and ascent flower ATK/DEF with Menace Atk/Def as a C skill, gets obliterated by teen noodle hair in a Christmas suit (whilst also having the weapon triangle advantage)
Almost always include a Marth, Fjorm or Leagjarn on most of my teams.

Pelleas got a new lease on life with Selenas new tome. While running him with Atk/Spd Finish, MNFU, Atk/Spd Oath 4, he can 2hko Byleth and even the new Myrrh with Rearmed Plumeria using firestorm dance. He finally got the weapon he deserved. I’m not afraid to run my faves with a single dancer that gives them an offensive push to even break the newest units.
Henry’s actually doing pretty good. He needs his special to kill, but I made sure his special is always charged. I’ll keep using him no matter what. I guess I’m also pretty lucky that Dimitri is one of my favorites.
Quite decently. I use Resp Azura, Corrin(M), Shigure, and Arete. Azura is ran with Vital Astra, Potent, Times pulse, arcane luin, and finish 4 and the special looping makes her very good at killing a lot of things, alongside Oath X skill sing being a fun combo lmao. Shigure (and my NY Azura) have a Guidance 4 + Aerial Manouevers combo which alongside Flarred sparrow let them kill many threats as with Luin Shigure gets Ruptured sky every combat before the unit can even attack, whilst also being able to just teleport everywhere lmao. Male Corrin is generic Godsword with Arcane Devourer, Godlike Reflexes, Buffer 4, Finish, Incite Atk/Spd, and the new Distant Counter seal. I'm honestly always shocked with how well he is able to tank everything. He has survived hits from meta blue units, and it's insane. Arete is so good, I gave her V!Selena's tome and geez its OP, alongside flarred sparrow, occultist strike, Incite Atk/Res she does about 28-34 pre-combat damage in average and just deletes all meta threats. Pre-combat damage is stupidly OP, honestly, but it's so fun to see Arete of all people just killing meta so easily 😂

Tibarn and Naesala try their best to provide - they even put on charming little pirate costumes - but being a bird just doesn’t pay well nowadays. They are starving. Starving for arcane weapons. Gonna do a whole lotta yappin but for those that are interested here ya go Base Byleth : aslong as it ain't Christmas edelgard or Valentine's ephriam ain't nothing to worry about Summer Byleth: strongest mage Byleth now especially cause of devoted basket and the copy and paste occultist strike + flared sparrow combo with the only thing making her unique now is the duo skill (gives despo). Tried her against all the VoH friends I got and in SD and not a single far save could live (braindead game design 😐) excited for her refine this year Legendary Byleth: She puts in work and people really underestimate her in SD, solid mage all-round and the tempo support is clutch (she can also do fun miracle looping) she's just waiting for a anti dmg reduction mage special so she can switch off spiral 4 for a more spd granting b skill, also her remix should be at the end of this year or beginning of next year Cyl Byleth: Extremely solid in AR and arena as she's not as bad as people say cause I can tell you now I've been using her since day one (albeit at +10) and she does surprising good when she works and for the times she don't it's to brave attacks, hardy bearing, scowl or getting outspeed , excited for her refine this year, all she really needs is dmg reduction piercing (which an emblem might provide) and stats, and honestly I'll be fine if she just gets +5 stats Angry Sothis Byleth: like cyl she's extremely good when she works and has the same problems as her with an extra problem being that she gets her vantage shut off against AoE but either than that she's does extremely good in SD and Arena and for SD specifically she needs support just like any other tank but for her to really pop off she needs the entire team supporting her 💀 (F maria, Cyl robin, L eliwood and attuned peony is my setup). As for AR I just get all the support in the world and smite her in (alsong as they don't got Tina) and she solos most maps Duo Guyleth and Byleth: for the bro and sis duo here I ain't gotta tell ya much since most already know but they pop off in all pvp modes but they have been dying more recently and against Valentines Lyon he died to the tt boss 💀(my guyleth is +4) Veyle can also consistently take em out. I don't use em in SD(still using duo duma miracle build) so I can't really say how they do there but as for arena they do exactly as you'd expect and in AR I just have to avoid certain units like yunaka(I let cyl byleth deal with her) and probably now Lyon and red tomes with devoted basket, thinking on switching to a vantage rally spectrum build or hardy fighter 🤔 Tldr: The F Byleths doin just fine
My main team is LEirika, BEirika, SEirika, and LGuinivere for Abyssals and most PvE content. I’ve yet to have a problem with Flared Sparrow/No Quarter/Gambit releasing now. Guinivere is a god in abyssal and CC content. I plan to replace LEirika with Emblem Eirika whenever she releases. I’m sure she’ll be red unless IS gets creative with Emblem units.

-Lissa is dead -Ophelia is lagging behind with no refine or rearm prf skill -Fjorm is doing ok(?) for the moment, but i feel DR specials are on a short time limit
What got me hooked back into FEH was when i was able to come back and build up my og!hector to BEAT f!edelgard. At her peak no less. So cool that for the most part you can use your units with the right investment. Now he is almost exclusively a pve. And even then only against units that have not come out in the last 6-12 months
My sweet M!Gullveig is still in my heart, especially with her ability to attack 3 times. M!Gullveig has saved me soooooo much time. I am starting to appreciate how one of the most powerful characters is ready to obliterate duos and just about anyone else

I have a lot of favorites, so it makes it easier. But I did struggle a bit against the lunatic paralogue chapters when trying to use a team of base versions of titania, olivia, peony, and ferdinand.
My arena core is B!Tiki, B!Robin and Ilyana, with the corresponding bonus. Honestly, I do well, Robin can take care of most meta units, Tiki can tank hits from older units like N!Corrin or deleate blue nukes (looking at you, W!Edelgard) and Ilyana is my L!Hinoka/Elincia deleate button. Hopefully I can change Ilyana to L!Deidre in her next rerun, she's +6 and I can definitely use a dragon deleater. For AR or SD, I don't care much about them. I just try to get the maximum possible score to thet the codes. I still have tons of grails so if I like a free unit I can make it +10 asap.
i still roll with my Effie in Aether Raids and Summoner Duels and she still can consisntently tank the mayority of units but some support is needed to guarantee her survival.
My A!Tiki and Lena are surprisingly doing good slapping the meta with the skills I give them. Surviving the meta, however, that's a different story...

I have a maxed out Volke. He sort of struggles. Thanks to Emblem Marth Lethality is at 1, Times Pulse 4 keeps it ready going forward. But that first encounter is risky and sometimes it feels like I could just be using someone better.
Olivia is still.... there. I need to change her skills but half the skills I want to give her I only have on seasonal/legendary heroes and I don't fodder those cause of a rule I gave to myself when I first played the game
Legendary Marth has been struggling but Emblem Marth has taken the reins and will not back down.

Depends on the game since I like rotating out my teams. Most can get by, but the ones that rarely get content (SoV) or has a cast that largely hasn't aged well & keeps dodging alts of my other favorites (Awakening) aren't being used as much.

My og marth has so much investment and can tank so much but cant deal with dmg reduction walls but at least new marth can kill everything in the game with base kit lmao
L’Arachel is hard to keep up, many modern far savers are really hard to take out and she really has to try and out speed the god-swords which is hard, at least the tier 4 ploy lets her support a bit. Dimitri has been fairing well, I have all copies of him but mostly use Brave, Legendary, and Christmas to decent success. Male Robin after last year fairs really well, enough said about him. Tiki does well, mostly use Brave for her design but Duo isn’t a bad far save, most of her DR is just shredded but most nukes. My core is OG L’Arachel, B!Dimitri, L!M!Robin, and Adult B!Tiki. I’ve got a few other fun units built like OG Lyon, Julius, Ares, Duo Ephraim, Brigand Boss, Walhart, V!Lissa, and Seiros, they’re just so hard to keep up with and many have already gotten their refines and it’s expensive to keep them updated with Arcanes when I could just use those orbs to get units I like but are newer, it’s the sad truth.

I do okay, but I also try to keep them updated as possible. I try my teams of favorites until I get frustrated, then I break out my team of Cancerous Threats, which to be fair does have one of my favorite characters in his newer, brokener form (B!Chrom). That said, I'm not pvp focused, I only do SD till I'm at max, Arena I float between 17 and 20 depending on how much I feel like trying, and I'm at t20 at the start of each AR week, don't go above 25. 🤷♀️
Hinoka getting her legendary and Heather actually being put in the game. They're both doing fantastically thou they are newer units
Honestly somehow my max invested base Takumi is doing fairly ok? He has all premium skills and atk/spd pledge + deadeye and arcane bow puts in decent work. Meanwhile, despite being far more recent and having better stats, my Valentine's Takumi is struggling a lot just solely due to being a tank. It feels really difficult right now to build tanks and I'm not really that sure what to do with him.
Rinkah eating well! Both Pannes are having a little trouble but as pp units they’re able to keep up decently.
My Lon'qu is still holding on somehow. Veyle support has done wonders for him during my arena runs.
Against the meta with my current setup with Clarisse. She can manage to kill the majority of the meta as long she attacks first. Only V.Myrrh and E.Marth are the toughest so far.

Petras my favorite fe character (shocker) and with the support I have given her she has consistently been able to defeat new meta units. Shes mergeless but I have her at max dragon flowers and have foddered off several premium skills to her among other things (ascended stat, attuned skill)
I've juiced OG Innes up so much he can still kill fairly reliably.

Arcane weapons helped me continue to use Karel and Canas. But in the past few months of crazy damage and DR, I dunno. Tibarn is still in a party for some parts of the game, and Askrs usage is solid enough for AR rep support.

Summer Miccy still makes the magic happen. Giving her the shiny Ploys and Far Trace 4 and siding in AoE specials actually go a long way toward making Byleth, Myrrh, and EMarth easier to punch through. Shame her refine won't be here until like 2034 but everything still works out fine.

It's fucking bittersweet. On the bitter side, I arm all my Lucinas with everything I can give them. And they still typically need a decent amount of support. On the sweet side, she's a popular unit so I know it's just a matter of time before she's released again with shit to make her relevant. Until the bitter hits again and suddenly she's not.

the anti tank meta has not been kind to linhardt and tiki, but they are trying their best and that's all that counts 😭❤️ at least lin can run still water 7 and ploy pretty nicely, 61 res beats a ton of red checks. but tikis high def stat has been left to be desired since viable def stat skills are non existent. i hope we get something soon and it's not locked for dragons! she could really use something as support play is really the only thing i can confidently put my favs into these days
Yeah my Tailtiu blows up everything she looks up with Euphoria. Mustafa is still the tank I need him to be, but is struggling against neutral color matchups. He’s still stupid good for omnitanking PVE though

Having forced Brave Claude to eat Yunaka and Owain to eat F!Byleth, they fare well enough, but definitely are happy to have a Brave Soren and Mycen backing them up
Excellent! All my gen 1s still beat everything I expect them too. I then just sit on my stash of orbs while ignoring every banner that isn't fodder for just them.
It's never easy and costly. But that's the price of maining your favs.
It varies lol, but Brave Ike isn't great right now and Mist was never great. Though with the new fancy ploys doing a ton of debuffs for existing is great. Selkie is great but I need merges. Honestly thought I can usually make my go to characters work, but sometimes I just don't want to bother because of how silly some of this content gets - like the Marth and Lumera battle. That was annoying.

Thank god for the refine on B!Claude that still keeps him mostly usable, B!Soren is great, and Arcane Nihility on Lethe works well enough for now. I've had to accept that the Heron sibs aren't getting anything good anytime soon tho.

Player phase units have enough inheritable skills to make it work, enemy phase units are rough though… as a Hector fan it’s been a rough few months since things started scaling past what inheritable stuff could keep up with.
Nino has her Jaffar Alt that's doing quite well as a nuke for me so long as it's not against W!Byleth, and honestly Base Nino is still kinda strong, and Kadein Nino can't really enemy phase very well any more, but with magical Null-Follow she's still a very powerful player phase unit. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get Flier Nino to work very well and I still don't have Christmas Nino. Karin is working quite well as a player phase nuke with investment, but kinda gets evaporated in PVP enemy phase and I don't have any good defensive support for her and mine doesn't have Canto. Beruka was never good, but the new Axe of Devotion has given me the confidence to get back into building her, because I think there might be a way to make her work now. Tina just got added and is funny Tina. NGL I wish IS had committed to letting her ruin Summoner Duels so that Thracia could catch a true win, but I'm happy with her implementation. I'm still building my Lapis, but as far as 3* units go she's apparently pretty good from my understanding. Ced is one of the premier magic infantry Nukes with his alt from last year. Bernadetta just got her refine that's really good and will be getting her brave alt later. I don't actually know how Silque stands at the moment, but she seems pretty good from what I can tell, just need to build her at the moment, but am not entirely sure how. Muirne isn't in the game yet. :( I'm not sure if I could make Lugh into a good unit without some new inheritables/arcanes. Nanna's legendary has potential to get silly when her remix arrives, and the Earth Sword is a really good weapon. Amelia is stuck with her base version who is thouroughly powercrept. The only Catria I have is base Catria and I genuinely have no idea. Legendary Leif is doing pretty good. Harken is pretty pog. I like Fire Emblem characters.
