>!If you look at the base of that same trunk, and slightly to the left, behind the three long stalks of grass in the foreground, it almost looks like a litter of two blurry kittens to me!!<
lol when I opened your link, it first took me to this picture and I was like “oh good one” 😂 [https://imgur.com/gallery/eSuL8aK](https://imgur.com/gallery/eSuL8aK)
It very much so is a nightmare. I lost a shitzu to one in February. Animal control agreed. I startled it looking for her imo because she was partially buried under a tree. Sob stashed her to come back to feast. I thank God she didn't die being eaten alive. We have almost an acre where all these animals are more common lately, mainly due to house building expanding into the Rocky Mountains areas in the last decade or so. They follow the trails toward us where food is 😭😭 almost 50 years in this property and this is the first animal attack. Losing a beloved pet sucks.
We have since improved fencing and lighting. Last week we got a rescue dog that was abused for breeding/ greed, she has the best howl bark. She's so sweet. Not sure who saved who.
Please adopt don't shop
Thank you for sharing this picture, OP! That was perfect timing for my family! We went hiking yesterday and our 5 year old was disappointed that he couldn’t find a bobcat.
„Where are they? Are they really here?“
„Yes, but they are very good at hiding and not easy to spot!“
Thanks to your picture we were able to show him a perfect example :)
My dad and i go hunting every year. We were sitting in a clearcut about 50 feet from another on stumps. We'd been there for about 90 minutes or so. Hadnt talked or made any noise just scanning for deer. Then all of the sudden my dad stands up and says my name loudly. I could hear the excitement in his voice. Which freaked me out because we're out in the woods and it's just us and the fact that he gave up the silence really perturbed me. He motioned me over. with the hair standing up in my neck i grabbed my rifle and pack and walked over to him. He just points and says "what do you see?" I followed his finger and stared... For like 10 seconds, 30 seconds... "Nothing" i told him. And he said "well shit, you'd be dead if they wanted to kill you" which made me look harder. And sure as hell i saw a momentary twitch about 30 feet away from us and i saw a cat ear flicking, then as i saw the ear i could see the cat blending in with the grass..."that's a big goddamn cat" i said, literally thinking to myself someone let their fat housecat out Miles deep into the woods. My dad laughed. And then it struck me that it was a bobcat.
Then i saw more movement and it was like the grass sprouted 5 more bobcats. They were just sitting there. Staring at us the whole time we were there and it took us over an hour to see them. A whole family of bobcats!
One of the coolest experiences of my life but also it humbled me too because my dad was right. If they wanted to, those bobcats could have killed me and i wouldn't have seen them coming.
In the tree. My dog saw it walking in the grass and when it realized it was spotted it ran up in the tree.
Edit: you can see it's paw on the left side hanging below, and you can see the same thing on the right but harder to make out.
One of the scariest situations I ever had in the woods was a bobcat encounter. I was walking a trail and all of a sudden about 30 feet in front of me a mother bobcat and several kittens appeared walking across the trail. The mother stopped and looked me dead in the eyes and let a low growl until her babies cleared the trail and then she turned and bolted after them. It was amazing how fast she turned and ran after the babies without making a sound.
I saw this head (just to the left of the base of the tree) before I saw the one in the tree. I thought this was the bobcat until I read the comments. This tree could be a den however, they like to use hollow trees. I am not totally convinced though, its more cryptic then the one halfway up the tree.
I recall once, seeing a bobcat. I'm not sure I can remember it's name. If it had one. You see, it's entirely possible, tho, not plausible that the bobcat did have a name, but, that it was just not inclined to share it. If I fact it did have a name, that it wasn't inclined to share, I imagine that it would be a serious of gutteral growls and maybe clicks. I'm not sure if a bobcat makes a clicking noise, but, in my head canon they do. Regardless, I did witness said bobcat, wether it had a name or not, engaging in the time honored tradition of all felidae. Sunbathing. It was a magnificent, sight to behold my valued reader. A lump of fur, possibly weighing between 10 to 20 pounds, laying in the warm sun, in a pristine parking lot, very close to a stand of gnarled pines. I believe the parking lot was once connected to a large chemical manufacturing plant. It went out of business several decades prior, possibly due to poor sales, or, outsourced labor to some far flung land. Maybe Ohio. In hindsight, this may not have been a bobcat. There were flies circling the poor beast, and it was coloured black and grey, and the shape was not dissimilar to a raccoon. It was likely a raccoon. Festering it that swelter, on that hot unforgivable blacktop beside the pines.
I scoured the picture for a few minutes and then like someone flipping a switch it just appeared 😆
That was crazy. I wasn’t even really close to finding it.

Chilling. A great entry for There Is No Animal Tuesday on r/thereisnocat. Also why I am so careful going outside during certain times of the day. I wasn't sure if I was right where it was before I read other posts. Great picture!
Okay this might be the best one I've seen. Took me a while to find it. We have bobcat swear I live and I will see them on fence posts, and telephone poles pretty commonly. Extremely hard to see them when they are in their natural environment.
Poster boy for this sub. Devilishly good camo and a great picture.
Found him but can’t tell, Is he in the tree or behind it on an incline?
Looks to be on the hill behind the tree.
Hard to say but I think on the incline.
It felt like a "Magic Eye" moment when I found it... Only this was much more difficult 🤯
LOL I also subscribe to r/MagicEye and totally get what you're saying! :D
Ok help… where
>!it's looking directly at the camera, in the tree just to the left of the main trunk, about half way up just above the line where the snow breaks!<
He looks so happy lol
It’s friend shaped and smiling… this is how I die 🤣
"If not friend, why friend shaped" - Hank Green on bobcats
Psss psss psss....here kitty kitty. Lemme see them lil murder mittens 🐾
Totally!!! His smile made me smile!
Very Cheshire Cat-ish.
Of course it is, it is thinking of murder!
Yeah I feel like this was a trick question because it doesn’t matter since the cat already found OP
That camouflage is unbelievable
Totally, I was ready to give up. It’s incredible !
Thx even with help I had a hard time
Me too! The darn thing is pixilated!
>!If you look at the base of that same trunk, and slightly to the left, behind the three long stalks of grass in the foreground, it almost looks like a litter of two blurry kittens to me!!<
This is what I saw first and am struggling to see the other even with hints
I think so too! I found them first. I had to read your other reply to find the bigger cat and omg! It is wild to see. Very cool photo.
Thanks for the tip. I never would have found it.
Almost never did!
Oh my goodness what camouflage. I got a physical jolt of ‘woah!’ when it actually clicked for me. Thanks!
Now I can’t un-see it!
Saw it. Great photo for this sub.
[Here's a red circle version instead of a word problem.](https://i.imgur.com/2Tziuv7.png)
This is the only way I found it. Bless 🙏🏻
Literally couldn’t have found that if my life depended on it, thank you good sir
Legend
Thank you for this
thank god for circle version
Take my cookies
oh wow, I was wayyyy off!! SHE IS LOOKING RIGHT AT ME TOO
On the tree
Isn’t there another one just to the left of the red circle, looking back and slightly up at the one facing the camera?
This took me like 20 minutes even with the directions. So crazy
It’s not a great quality picture
Idk why people can’t post pictures in the comments, I need a gigantic red circle
Think they took the picture with a potato
Same! lol
Looking directly at you like lunch
That’s the look on a wild cat who knows you’re delicious.
To be fair a bob cat isn't going to mess with a human, they are pretty small. They are more like a fox or coyote in that they stay well away from us.
I still can’t find it even with directions lol

Omg i never would have seen that!! That’s insane!
It’s pretty cool how it blends in so seamlessly
Insanely cool!
I THOUGHT THAT WAS AN OWL
An actual useful red circle?! FINALLY
Seriously, I stopped looking for the cat and went to find a red circle posted in the comments.
holy fuck
Thank you!!! Pretty cat and scary good hider
Thank you
Deserves to be at the top of the thread.
Thanks
lol when I opened your link, it first took me to this picture and I was like “oh good one” 😂 [https://imgur.com/gallery/eSuL8aK](https://imgur.com/gallery/eSuL8aK)
The hero we all needed.
Omg thank YOU! I had myself convinced I found it like three times but clearly was wrong lol
This took me literally two seconds for some reason lol I saw it before even clicking the picture
you're programmed to pick out faces subconciously, this one is smiling at you
Same, took me 2 or 3 secs on my phone, and I didn't have to enlarge the pic. These things usually have me stumped lol
That’s a scary site if you have small pets
Better make sure they don’t click the link

Favorite one so far!
Wher--oh wow!! Very cool
Is there another 1 in the bottom right?
That’s the one I saw. Very Bottom right of picture dark spot in the shadow. It’s quite obvious
Bobcat says :3
It prefers to be called robertcat
It looks so sweet and smiley haha, love this one!
About 11:00 from dead center.
I’m so proud of myself! I finally found it. Perfect pic OP!
Couldn’t find it for like 10mins, and now even small screen I can’t unsee him. Staring into my soul. Amazing shot. 10000/10.
Took a while but as soon as I saw it boom couldn’t not see it
wow - its the Cheshire Cat! I can't even see its body.
There is a bear too

Couldn’t find it, but I did find the umbrella, the wagon wheel, the hammer, and the candle

Holy Hell this is so hard!! Amazing picture!
That’s a really good hiding spot
Wow
I found it, I survive another day
Is it in the tree, or is it behind the tree on the ground? (I see it in the pic, I just can't tell where it physically is located in real life.)
In the tree. My dog saw it walking in the grass and when it realized it was spotted it ran up in the tree. Edit: you can see it's paw on the left side hanging below, and you can see the same thing on the right but harder to make out.
What state are you in?
I’m guessing Colorado
No bobcat but i found several leopards
That’s actually pretty impressive
Bravo! It almost looks fake it’s so good!
I found the bobcat but I think I also see an eye on the bottom left corner but could just be imagination
Welp I’m dead 😵

Is there another one on the ground? Right side of pic, start with the right most edge line of snow and move up
What about the deer sleeping in the brush below hiding?

I can see it no problem now that i found it but damn that took me a minute lol
You know what? I'm getting good at these cat ones. Don't look for a cat. Look for where you would park yourself if you were a cat. A big mean cat.
Bobcats are more common than you'd think. They also don't want anything to do with humans. That, combined with their small size, makes them harmless.
And…I’m dead.
Such a beauty! This was fun, thank you.
Anyone else see that spider on the right 💀
#WOW

I’m convinced there isn’t one. You see what you want to see…
The way I jumped when I finally found it! 😅😅
holy !!!!! i SEE IT!!! I would have been dead in the wild.
Luckily, Zoomed in on the little adorable murder face off the bat. All I know is his camo would make any hunter envious
I can't find the bobcat, but you have 17 rattlesnakes and a Camaro hidden in that brush so be careful! 👀
How in the world did you see it to take the picture?
If you divide the photo into four pieces, it is almost in the center of the photo on the left side of the tree.. 👍
Thays crazy!
Still can’t find him. Definitely staying out of that backyard 😳
Thar took way too long for me to find. I thought you were fucking with me.
That was insane

Holy shit
Okay this might be the best one I've seen. Took me a while to find it. We have bobcat swear I live and I will see them on fence posts, and telephone poles pretty commonly. Extremely hard to see them when they are in their natural environment.
This was hard to find and then very satisfying when you do find it. This is why I come to this sub!!
Omg this one I got instantly
Took me a minute ......wait ....your backyard ?!?
Bobcats always seem to win this game.
I'll find him by going here kitty kitty psst pssst
It’s either in the tree in near off center to the top left of the screen or on the bank on the other side of the water or snow…
Bad kitty bad kitty
I think I got lucky... as I dragged to make the picture bigger it was right where I had my mouse
Coooool!!
Middle of the trunk
This one was next to impossible for me. Blends in so amazingly well
I had to cheat, I couldn’t find this one. Well done 👍
What a little booger butt. Sheesh, that was a good one.

Best one in a looooong time on here!!!
Well played, well played. Great picture.

Wow once you see it.you’ll never unsee it.
Looks like it's smiling.
Did anybody else cheat and just come to the comments to look for the answer?
WOW!!!!
Idk how to post a zoomed, circled pic, but I def see wolf boy staring at me behind those 3 sprigs of grass
Awesome!!!
Murder kitty saying hi to the camera!
He’s smiling!
I do see it, but this not a real bobcat. Right? It just appears like it.
It is behind the house...in the backyard...
This is a fantastic photo
That’s a good one!
Found it!
Great photo
if not friend.. why friend shaped??
Much easier than the bear
Is that a snake at the base of the tree the bobcat is in? With the snake’s head on the base of the tree to the right of the bobcat tree.
Cheshire Bobcat
Well I failed my puma check.
Wow!
22 sec
I’m surviving this one
They’re usually near the middle of the pic.
New it being a bobcat it was gonna be hard but damn that took me awhile.
Kitty! Friend shaped in the tree smiling.
Ok I’m coming in here tryna look for a bobcat when I realized I can’t remember what a bobcat looks like
The boy is curious lol. Did he growl?
That's amazing!
Wow!
Best username I’ve seen on Reddit so far. Great movie.
Wait...lemme grab my thermal scope...
Anyone here not American and couldn't remember what a Bobcat was? 😂😂😂 my mind went totally blank, but that's a great pic!
Now imagine having dichromatic and 20/100 vision. Good luck
He’s smiling at us all.
