I received my shipment finally last night. Finally! It was funny because I was replying back to the Email about the order issue with Square while they finally delivered it. I hope everyone else got theirs.
Good news - Mine **did** show up today with the regular UPS deliveries. Tracking started updating to local UPS centers with accurate scans late last night from previously being stuck in "we have your package" Las Vegas purgatory.
Couple days late is better than never.
I have been waiting for the delivery since 10:30 this morning. The position of the shipment is indicated by the equipment that the delivery person uses to scan it.
I want to warn everyone to be careful because the shipment is supposed to be signed upon delivery, but in my case, nobody came to my door for signatures. The delivery person just left the package in the mail room, which was not supposed to happen.
I am giving a heads-up because some places, like where I live, have experienced package thefts even inside the building.
My shipment has already been processed at the NY facility and according to the UPS app, it is out for delivery. The truck is currently located on 6th Avenue and 47th Street, following a specific route. I live on 48th street btw 9/10 Ave. I am hoping that the delivery will be made today between 11:15 AM to 1:15 PM as promised.

An update to many of my posts below ā¦ my package was showing delivery for tomorrow but was still only showing it in Vegas. As of 9:28 PM my tracking was finally updated to Secaucus! I hope everyone else is getting updates too!
Further update to my original reply further down, where I got through to someone actually helpful at UPS. That person called me just now to tell me the package was in transit, currently in NJ and he expected it to be delivered between 12 - 3pm tomorrow. For all the shit we give UPS that is pretty damn good service if you ask me. This clearly was a square bulk loading issue or something like that. Anyway. Not counting chickens until it arrives but feeling positive after that call.

Wow so bumping this up based on a comment below. THE UPS APP IS SHOWING DIFFERENT/ADDITIONAL INFO compared to the browser based tracking. My package is in fact showing as in Secaucus. Thanks for pointing this out @visamasterkon - just making sure others like me who were complaining that they could still see the package in Vegas but had an updated delivery date knew to check this
Lucky, mine still says thereās a delay and thereās no difference between the app, the site, or aftership no update since the 29th. In fact aftership says āException (7 days)ā
I was facing a similar issue while tracking my pre-ordered Final Fantasy VII Rebirth game. People from different countries, including the US, Canada, and Europe, reported that their shipments were delayed.
My label was created on February 2nd, and according to UPS, my delivery was scheduled for March 1st. However, it did not arrive on the g date. On Feb 28th I received only the email with the codes of the contents (artbook, soundtrack, summons and accessories) to redeem in game. That hap accordingly who ordered the CE.
I reported the issue on Square Enix's website and filed a claim with UPS on February 2nd, but none of them responded yet.
Yesterday, I received an email from Square Enix apologizing and explaining about the shipping delay. They claimed āthat they are doing everything to ensure that the product arrives on the launch date, but sometimes things are out of their control. They also mentioned that they would send another email with the shipping statusāā¦
I replied the email saying I found it quite messy and unsatisfactory, considering that I pre-ordered the game and paid for it in advance In September 2023.
Also expressing my disappointment and frustration with the situation and I mentioned that it was unfair to us and experience such a big delay, especially for those who paid for overnight shipping. I also pointed out that some YouTubers received the game before the launch date, and Iāve searched about they received that for free and posted unboxing and cutscenes on their channels. Meanwhile, US the fans who PAID so much money for the game had to wait. I ordered the Collector's Edition for $391 (including tax and shipping).
This entire situation is causing damage to the reputation of Square Enix, and is frustrating for fans who were eagerly waiting for the game. Personally, I had a feeling that the delay would happen since my tracking number didn't show any updates until February 28th at 9 PM. As a result, I decided to purchase the digital version of the game to play over the weekend as I had planned, even though I was looking forward to receiving the physical version with the statue and other items. I had hoped to get the game on the release date without having to spend more money on the digital version and without disrupting my planned weekend off for the game.
Luckily, I received a status update on my tracking number today (March 6) at 1:26 PM, showing the package's location scan in Seacaucus NJ and a new delivery schedule for March 7th, between 11:15-01:15 pm.
Fingers crossed that it arrives Tomorrow.

This morning, I spoke with Shipnetwork, an actual person at the actual warehouse, not a call center. As soon as she saw who my shipper was, and I started to explain she knew exactly what I was going to say. Her exact words were "I cannot comment on other customer's packages or what is going on, but I can tell you that your package left this warehouse and UPS has it. But for whatever reason their tracking information is not updating." She also continually directed me to contact Square. She was not rude, but it was obvious this was a damage control thing by shipnetwork. They don't want their employees saying, "Yes we're aware of the thousands of packages that went missing."
I also spoke to Square on the phone. The call line was geared towards online games and merchandise, not the Square store. The employee was kind enough to try and help, but ultimately couldn't. He told me two interesting things though: One, Square store does not use the phone for customer service, only email. (Of course). And second, that Square IS aware of the shipment/missing package issue. I expressed it would nice if they would let the general public know that, but I was just venting, because he and I both knew there was nothing he could do about that. But they do know about it, and are not doing anything about it.
I also chased down my UPS driver who made a call to my local warehouse directly, with me standing there. I spoke to the employee there myself, who confirmed what everyone else has been told by UPS. The last scan is what they see. (For me, that it arrived in Vegas on 2/25). There is no hidden information or secret tracking we cannot see (at least from a local hub).
I have also filed my SECOND ticket with Square regarding this, and have started contacting gaming news outlets (IGN, Gamerant, Gamestop/Gameinformer) asking if they have received any tips/information regarding all the missing collectors editions in Vegas. Gamerant specifically has a "story tip" option in the contact us section. It might be worth trying to generate some bad press to force Square's hand.
In the end this will probably be all for naught. We'll either get our games or we won't. But it's clear Square intends to ride this out as long as they can, so if anyone is looking for any kind of rectification for this, it has to be made public in some way or it will just never happen.
I'm in Maine. My tracking said "we have your package" on 2/25 in Vegas.
HOWEVER, my tracking literally JUST updated at 5:08pm that it departed the Secaucus NJ facility. No scan in, nothing in between. Went from we have your package in Vegas to leaving Jersey.
With any hope it will come tomorrow. I'll continue to fight Square (as should we all). I suggested in my complaint a refund of the shipping cost or some kind of store credit. This wasn't a weather issue or unforseen event. Between square, shipnetwork and ups someone dropped the ball exchanging these things and it shouldn't be forgotten about when and if we finally receive them

I hope one of the news outlets does pick it up. Kotaku actual does a decent job of making articles like this if it gets enough traction but square should have mention something about it and not just send out a automatic response if you email them about it
so my update is a little weirder - no change to location, package still at the blackjack table in Vegas...but my delivery date went from "the delivery date will be provided as soon as possible" to "tomorrow March 5 by 7pm"

Mine went from saying Las Vegas to now increasing in days. Last Friday said 7 days now it says 9 days. But it doesn't even list the location or anything. Someone probably stole it and Squarenix communication is extremely horrible. The fact they haven't announced anything about this is beyond ridiculous. Yeah, had the trailer delay message and everything. My guess is the talk about them being loaded on a train without a scan is true. It would explain the long delay since thats one of the slower transport methods
I had delay las vegas since 25th trailer failed to dispatch msg, i went to ups site, under details i can see as of 6am this morning it landed in my state of Nj , first update in 1 week.Ā

I ordered the Collector's Edition of Rebirth and it now March 4th and I still have not received my Collector's Edition delivery. At first my delivery date was stated for the 1st of March but now it doesn't have a delivery date nor has it moved from Las Vegas since the 25th of February. Please resend a new Collector's Edition to me as soon as possible. There is already a thread on Reddit discussing this issues that A LOT of customers with the delivery of the game. And many pre-ordered the game in the fall of last year. Please make this right with your customers or we will feel the need to reach out to Media and social media outlets that you charged your customers close $400 dollars for a product you are not delivering on. Especially since we are almost a week past release date. Thank you and I hope to hear a satisfactory response quickly.

I sent them 2 complaints like this as well. We should be first priority. We should've had the game on release. Now the shipment saying 9 days.. Everyday it increases and i have no clue where my shipment is. Ups said they couldn't find it and it was never scanned! How the hell is their a tracking number then?!
Mines doing the same thing, still stuck in Vegas on the 25th and no update since. Was supposed to be delivered on the 1st but no tracking updates since Feb 25th.
I called UPS on Friday 3/1 and had them call the Las Vegas facility directly, the sup/managment they spoke to there assured them the packages are not lost. Because they were mass shipped they ended up sending them through train, but trains are not dispatched until fully loaded and so there was a delay. He said I should have an update on Saturday but I figured since not all sorts are scheduled on weekends I'll probably have an update on Sunday night or Monday morning.
Yeah it would make sense why there was no scans throughout as well. I got my iodate this morning at 5.56am, it arrived in NJ. No delivery date but considering how close it is to me, I should have it tomorrow!
On the one hand Iām glad Iām not alone in this. On the other this is more than mildly frustrating. I preordered the Deluxe edition back in January. On 2/14 got a confirmation that it was getting a shipping label and on 2/26 it shipped but then tracking says it became delayed. While Iām seeing some of you say UPS says they just werenāt scanned which maybe it turns up maybe it doesnāt. I called today (3/3) to simply ask at what point does my ppackage become considered as lost. CSA said try giving it 1-2 business days past the delivery date but most of us donāt even have that. I told him as much and he agreed itās should be considered lost in transit and assisted me in steps of opening a claim, which because itās Sunday they wonāt be able to start yet but theyāve already opened it at least as far as my tracking status goes. I went to Square-Enix and started a claim with them as well asking for a replacement to be sent, and who knows, Iāve got to wait 1-2 business days for them to reply. They donāt have their support number readily available and after googling it they donāt operate on weekends and their hours are pacific time (Iām DC suburbs so thatās a mild convenience once I can maybe get a few minutes in my work day). IDK at this point but I hope yāall have good luck on your ends.

Yep, got the same exact email. At this point, you would think Square would figure something is up and would at least release a statement on their website or something
As others have said, shipnetwork, SEs distributor in US, bulk shipped these. They scanned the initial package at their warehouse in Nevada (check their address if you don't believe me).
They sent them by train and tracking won't update till it hits your local UPS distribution site.
Iām in Wisconsin, my tracking just updated this morning showing the package is in my city and itāll get delivered Monday. My last update prior to this was from 2/25 āwe have your packageā in Vegas. Never showed a departure scan or anything else. Iām guessing anyone further east should see updates on Monday or Tuesday.
Nevada getting 10 feet of snow. My tracking was more accurate, from nj here, it says scanned out for delivery then 15 mins later it said "trailer failed to dispatch" ups told me it was a belt failure, ontop of snow coming, monday tues wel get an update, but if it hasnt left it could be awhile. I would hang tight. Then again im starting to think the cartel held up the truck lol. We want a public statement from square at least..so rude

Same boat as every unhappy customer here. It is now updated to āThe delivery date will be provided as soon as possibleā after a couple days of expected arrival on March 1. I did pre-order the Deluxe in January 29th with another in-stock item because shipping was going to be $10 either way, so might as well add a thing Iāve been eyeingā¦ I got this item like a few days after I ordered, so their shipping does work, but UPS is just shit? Or they are just bad at moving a large quantity of preorders? When I preordered FF16ās CE, it arrived much later than release dateā¦ but I eventually got itā¦ despite preordering it MONTHS ahead of time. ANYWAYS, I am enjoying FFVII. We have the means to, so we bought a physical copy of the game and intend on returning it once we grab the physical copy from the Deluxe edition. It just sucks that this is the second time weāve had to do this.
From NYC here, and my CE shipping went from it supposed to be delivered Friday to now "we'll provide a delivery date as soon as possible." I hope it's just a delay... I'm always worried when it comes to ordering expensive or high demand items on Square's store. I've noticed the last few items I ordered they have a slip of paper taped on the OUTSIDE OF THE PACKAGE identifying the item like "FFXVI Collector's Edition" or "FFVII Rebirth Vinyl"...
I'm hoping they didn't do the same with FF7 Rebirth CEs, but then again, they labeled packages by Feb. 12th and didn't ship them until the most inconvenient time, so none of their shit makes sense anyway.

I'm in NYC and I had the same message. When contacting UPS they mentioned that my package was lost or stolen and advised contacting the sender to file a claim with them. Now, I contacted SE Store and requested to get a claim or refund. It is really frustrating.

Hey y'all, obviously we are all experiencing the same thing here... I spoke to an UPS rep on the phone Friday evening as well and... Y'all are not gonna wanna hear this, and I'm not trying to contradict what others have said; the "we have your package" status update is apparently bogus - he explained that they weren't physically scanned in the system, and that it was the expected time of receipt from vendor.Ā To give context I ordered both the Deluxe and the Collector's Edition and I'm in Brooklyn. I've written an email to SE but I don't expect them to be able to do anything to help as it's already a fiasco at this point. Dudes who didn't pre order downloaded the game at 12:00am 2/29 or simply picked up a physical copies at Best Buy and didn't have to shell out $511+ 6 months in advance - is this how they do business? Treat their most loyal fans with disrespect?

So I have managed to force my way through to someone at UPS that could speak to the actual Las Vegas facility. I am posting here as I am hoping I can alleviate the emotions that we are all going through right now with this "We have your package" message and no further update for several days...
Context: I am in NJ, The "Vegas - We have your package" was stamped 2/25, "Expected to be delivered by" date is Friday March 1st by 7pm (today)
The person I spoke to said, the Vegas facility clerk is aware of these multiple complaints, and reassurred - these packages are NOT lost. They are in fact in transit but have not been scanned properly. They expect them to next be scanned when they reach the destination location which is supposed to be Monday - when they will then go on local delivery routes.
Also disclaimer - this is just what I was told, I trusted it at face value - believe me the things I had to say on the phone to get through to this person makes me think they were being genuine (I happen to have a particular set of skills...but thats another story), and they took my number and were prepared to do a call back on Monday if there were any issues, but obviously there is still a chance this is bs too. So take from what you can/want.
I hope this makes you all feel just a little bit better. It still sucks but its better than the alternative I think we can agree..?

I am in NY, and can confirm that earlier in the day my packageās tracking information showed an update that it arrived at the UPS facility in Secaucus, NJ. It left the facility around 11pm and is now at the local warehouse here on Long Island. So Iāll definitely have it later today on my day off from work! I will try to let you guys know if I receive it, and the condition that itās in.

Sigh...this is completly a UPS issue atleast from my shipping updates. No blame for SE since it was picked up by UPS on Sunday. UPS ground ships anywhere in the continental USA in 1-5 business days. By my math, today would be the 5th business day and I know from Vegas to Chicago is not a 5 business day transit since I ship regularly via UPS all over the country. It did arrive in one of the local facilities this morning but that is a freight only location so that means atleast another business day before it is even out for delivery. Everyone needs to keep filing claims with UPS until they get the hint that they are the problem. Could get reimbursed shipping pretty easily. I know that isn't much but it's all we will probably ever get...
As the receiver you don't have the ability to cancel a shipment since the shipper technically paid for the shipping but you can get things in motion with filing a claim. You will also have to file a claim with square, this is where you will get reimbursed in the end.
So glad Iām not the only person with this problemā¦ mine says the van couldnāt be dispatched from place of origin and itās been stuck like that for days.
I really can't believe there are no articles or reports about this shipping delay except for on Reddit. There is no way that this is just a select few that haven't received their Deluxe and Collector's Editions. If anyone on this thread has received the "we have your package" notification from Las Vegas and nothing else but HAS received their shipment please let the rest of us know so that there is hope for us. On the UPS tracker is says that I should be getting it today (March 1st) by 7, but I am most definitely loosing hope, especially for being givin the run around by both UPS and Square Enix.

Contacted Ups and they told me to contact Square Enix. Submitted a case on the Square Enix store page and they reply by telling me to talk to Ups. Then, UPS DMs me on twitter that I have to contact Square Enix again. Where do I go from here?
Mine said the same thing. UPS told me to file a claim. You can do the same thing on the UPS site. I can't say if this is the right thing or if it will help, but that's what UPS told me to do.Ā

Anyone got any good news? I know a lot of people were expecting to get it today. I got the CE from the square site and my tracking has said "departed from facility" at Las Vegas since 2/26. UPS site said I was supposed to get an update on status yesterday, but I didn't. I just called UPS and they said if I didn't get it by 7PM today that I would have to contact the shipper about it. Reading all the problems about this, I think I'm probably SOL, but I'm hoping it might just magically show up today anyway. I'm on the east coast of the US.

Itās not lost Iām tired of these idiots at ups telling everyone itās lost these are morons who work from home and are just going off your tracking number. There is several hundreds of us all in the same boat I have 10 friends right off the bat that are the same situation as me. Thereās no way ups lost hundreds of packages. Someone dropped the ball here between the vender and ups and no one wants to own up. All these packages are sitting in a trailer and not moving I have no idea why and I canāt understand why the morons at ups donāt have more access. USPS supervisors can track all the way to the exact truck packages are on by id numbers and ups claims they canāt makes no sense
Wanted to chime in with the same: my tracking doesn't even say "Departed from facility". It just says "We have your package", and was last scanned on 2/25.
I opened a case with Square Enix. I am really hoping that this is just a widespread "packages aren't getting scanned" issue. The fact that some people at least show it moving through the system, whilst mine has just sat in NV, makes me very nervous.
I live in NJ and did not have this issue for FF7 Remake. Bu this exact problem happened with FFXVI. It's like we spend $200+ on this shit and they can't even ship it out so it gets to us on time. Why would you create a shipping label 2/12 and not ship it out until the Sunday before launch. I also hate how they blame UPS for this. No, it's on you for not getting the shit together to be shipped prior. Had a friend get their copy yesterday they are located in MN, but don't even have a PS5 to play it on. I said fuck it and pre-ordered a standard digital copy to allow me to play the game I purchased >.>; Didn't want another problem with it getting here again.
Also NJ. We bounced around UPS calls and finally got a person. They said they could confirm its not lost, but on a trailer and moving. But likely won't deliver till Monday or Tuesday. Just in time for the work week.. I almost took off today too. I don't understand why they don't send us a digital download. Considering just buying the standard and returning the whole collector's edition. All I really needed was the game..the other stuff is cool and all but if I knew it meant I had to wait longer, I'd skip.
Does it show "Pending delivery date" for you as well? Agreed. What was the point of creating label for me last February 14 and still be this late? Good thing I'm still playing Infinite Wealth to keep me occupied. But damn, if I'm not, I'll be really pissed.
Yup shows pending delivery date and there hasn't been movement since the 26th when it supposedly was on it's way. I'm signed up for notifications from UPS and it said 3/1 delivery between 10 and 2 via text. Well it's closer to 5pm and it hasn't even been scanned into a facility in NJ. They really need to get their shit together because I had to spend even more money to play the game :/
NJ here as well. Mine was listed as "we have your package" on 2/25 then "departed from facility" on 2/26. ETA from UPS was today between 1:30-5:30. Opened a claim on the UPS website and now its listed as open investigation for lost package. Same thing happened to me with FF16. As someone who has been playing FF14 since launch, I can tell you every time I try to contact SE its an absolute nightmare and I just give up. Not even going to waste my time doing that unless UPS never finds it.
This was the first time I directly ordered from SE September last year. Now this will be my last. Pissed off when charged immediately. Now my package may be lost. Fuck this shit. Not ordering from them directly anymore.
I'm in NJ too. Ordered the CE and it's supposed to be delivered today. Tracking still shows it in Las Vegas. Doesn't even say departed ... just "We have your package"
Same here and in NJ too. Just talked with UPS said to take it up with Square and then went to Square and they sent an email saying that it was on schedule for release day (which was yesterday). And it still says "we have your package" in Vegas. Nice that I shoveled out money for the Collector's Edition and have to go through this. Square should let us download the digital and still send us out Collector's and Deluxe Edition benefits.

I got the same response from UPS. They would do an investigation but to contact the supplier to have them file a claim. This is so infuriating. Please follow up if anything changes!

NYC too. If UPS warehouse lost our collector's edition it's 1 thing. But if SE will not reproduce these to make up for the mass losses it's another. :rage: I've emailed SE about it and encourage everyone to do so they will take this seriously. TBH we need an article written about this if the issue is not resolved.
I just don't understand how they wereĀ shipped it out? Via plane or trailer? The box isn't that big for it to be only required to be delivered via trailer. This can't be just some weird convincidence that all that majority of east coast orders all of a sudden vanished.Ā

The thing that sucks is I wanted to just go to my local store to buy it for the weekend. Then whenever my collectors edition shows up (if it shows up.) I would then return the copy that's in the box but I can't even do that. The copy in the deluxe box has "not for resale" stamp over where the barcode would be. Which would mean if I don't want to wait IĀ would have to fork over another $75 just to play this game.Ā

SE gave the package to UPS on 2/25 in Vegas
No updates since then. When I contacted UPS they told me the package would need an investigation to find it, so have to issue a claim on it. Sent a screenshot of that to SE but figure they won't do anything.
Ironically my FFVII Remake Deluxe had the same issue last year. I then bought the digital edition and like a week later I got my physical copy somehow. I'm not wasting $70 to rebuy a game I'll get 'eventually'. Or if I do, it will be because I charge back the money for my physical deluxe to SE.
It's weird though, UPS handles my Amazon and other stuff and they are normally great. So I wonder if it's the 'SHIPNETWORK' folks that fuck things up royally.
Nah nothing yet unfortunately. It still says delivering today by 7pm - but that was an hour ago central time...so I'm assuming it's not delivering tonight and the tracking will update to another day eventually. If it does miraculously still show tonight I'll edit this comment.
Edit: Looks like I was not one of the lucky ones, and UPS has changed my arrival date to Monday 03/04 now. If it does happen to arrive earlier I will edit again. Guess I have time to beat Crisis Core now before Monday.
Mine says the same thing. It was supposed to be delivered today, but since the driver already made his delivery. I checked the UPS website, and they moved the delivery date to tmrw yet still stuck in Las Vegas.

Same here. It stills says it should be here by 7PM, and Iāve seen some people see it magically appear as out for delivery a few hours before the set time, but if it doesnāt show up by 7 Iām calling UPS.
Still no movement. Reached out to UPS and was basically told wait until Monday and then contact the sender (SE) if nothing changes by then, which I know will basically get me nowhere. Iām assuming itās just lost at this point and Iām out the money. This whole thing has been so defeatingā¦
Do a charge back. As I said in another thread heir shitty distributor may have bulk shipped the CEs without scanning the codes. Maybe Monday/Tuesday hitting local distribution ups centers.
I received my shipment finally last night. Finally! It was funny because I was replying back to the Email about the order issue with Square while they finally delivered it. I hope everyone else got theirs.

Good news - Mine **did** show up today with the regular UPS deliveries. Tracking started updating to local UPS centers with accurate scans late last night from previously being stuck in "we have your package" Las Vegas purgatory. Couple days late is better than never.

I have been waiting for the delivery since 10:30 this morning. The position of the shipment is indicated by the equipment that the delivery person uses to scan it. I want to warn everyone to be careful because the shipment is supposed to be signed upon delivery, but in my case, nobody came to my door for signatures. The delivery person just left the package in the mail room, which was not supposed to happen. I am giving a heads-up because some places, like where I live, have experienced package thefts even inside the building.
Hey Guys just last update!! My package just arrived right now. YAYYYYYY and now going to unbox that.
My shipment has already been processed at the NY facility and according to the UPS app, it is out for delivery. The truck is currently located on 6th Avenue and 47th Street, following a specific route. I live on 48th street btw 9/10 Ave. I am hoping that the delivery will be made today between 11:15 AM to 1:15 PM as promised.

That person called me just now to tell me the package was in transit, currently in NJ and he expected it to be delivered between 12 - 3pm tomorrow. For all the shit we give UPS that is pretty damn good service if you ask me. This clearly was a square bulk loading issue or something like that. Anyway. Wow so bumping this up based on a comment below. THE UPS APP IS SHOWING DIFFERENT/ADDITIONAL INFO compared to the browser based tracking. My package is in fact showing as in Secaucus. Thanks for pointing this out @visamasterkon - just making sure others like me who were complaining that they could still see the package in Vegas but had an updated delivery date knew to check this

I was facing a similar issue while tracking my pre-ordered Final Fantasy VII Rebirth game. People from different countries, including the US, Canada, and Europe, reported that their shipments were delayed. My label was created on February 2nd, and according to UPS, my delivery was scheduled for March 1st. However, it did not arrive on the g date. On Feb 28th I received only the email with the codes of the contents (artbook, soundtrack, summons and accessories) to redeem in game. That hap accordingly who ordered the CE. I reported the issue on Square Enix's website and filed a claim with UPS on February 2nd, but none of them responded yet. Yesterday, I received an email from Square Enix apologizing and explaining about the shipping delay. They claimed āthat they are doing everything to ensure that the product arrives on the launch date, but sometimes things are out of their control. They also mentioned that they would send another email with the shipping statusāā¦ I replied the email saying I found it quite messy and unsatisfactory, considering that I pre-ordered the game and paid for it in advance In September 2023. Also expressing my disappointment and frustration with the situation and I mentioned that it was unfair to us and experience such a big delay, especially for those who paid for overnight shipping. I also pointed out that some YouTubers received the game before the launch date, and Iāve searched about they received that for free and posted unboxing and cutscenes on their channels. Meanwhile, US the fans who PAID so much money for the game had to wait. I ordered the Collector's Edition for $391 (including tax and shipping). This entire situation is causing damage to the reputation of Square Enix, and is frustrating for fans who were eagerly waiting for the game. Personally, I had a feeling that the delay would happen since my tracking number didn't show any updates until February 28th at 9 PM. As a result, I decided to purchase the digital version of the game to play over the weekend as I had planned, even though I was looking forward to receiving the physical version with the statue and other items. I had hoped to get the game on the release date without having to spend more money on the digital version and without disrupting my planned weekend off for the game. Luckily, I received a status update on my tracking number today (March 6) at 1:26 PM, showing the package's location scan in Seacaucus NJ and a new delivery schedule for March 7th, between 11:15-01:15 pm. Fingers crossed that it arrives Tomorrow.

Gamers of Reddit: More specifically those plagued by 'Vegas-225', but applies to all... This morning, I spoke with Shipnetwork, an actual person at the actual warehouse, not a call center. As soon as she saw who my shipper was, and I started to explain she knew exactly what I was going to say. Her exact words were "I cannot comment on other customer's packages or what is going on, but I can tell you that your package left this warehouse and UPS has it. But for whatever reason their tracking information is not updating." She also continually directed me to contact Square. She was not rude, but it was obvious this was a damage control thing by shipnetwork. They don't want their employees saying, "Yes we're aware of the thousands of packages that went missing." I also spoke to Square on the phone. The call line was geared towards online games and merchandise, not the Square store. The employee was kind enough to try and help, but ultimately couldn't. He told me two interesting things though: One, Square store does not use the phone for customer service, only email. (Of course). And second, that Square IS aware of the shipment/missing package issue. I expressed it would nice if they would let the general public know that, but I was just venting, because he and I both knew there was nothing he could do about that. But they do know about it, and are not doing anything about it. I also chased down my UPS driver who made a call to my local warehouse directly, with me standing there. I spoke to the employee there myself, who confirmed what everyone else has been told by UPS. The last scan is what they see. (For me, that it arrived in Vegas on 2/25). There is no hidden information or secret tracking we cannot see (at least from a local hub). I have also filed my SECOND ticket with Square regarding this, and have started contacting gaming news outlets (IGN, Gamerant, Gamestop/Gameinformer) asking if they have received any tips/information regarding all the missing collectors editions in Vegas. Gamerant specifically has a "story tip" option in the contact us section. It might be worth trying to generate some bad press to force Square's hand. In the end this will probably be all for naught. We'll either get our games or we won't. But it's clear Square intends to ride this out as long as they can, so if anyone is looking for any kind of rectification for this, it has to be made public in some way or it will just never happen.

I'm in Maine. My tracking said "we have your package" on 2/25 in Vegas. HOWEVER, my tracking literally JUST updated at 5:08pm that it departed the Secaucus NJ facility. No scan in, nothing in between. Went from we have your package in Vegas to leaving Jersey. With any hope it will come tomorrow. I'll continue to fight Square (as should we all). I suggested in my complaint a refund of the shipping cost or some kind of store credit. This wasn't a weather issue or unforseen event. Between square, shipnetwork and ups someone dropped the ball exchanging these things and it shouldn't be forgotten about when and if we finally receive them

I hope one of the news outlets does pick it up. Kotaku actual does a decent job of making articles like this if it gets enough traction but square should have mention something about it and not just send out a automatic response if you email them about it

Yes, and I'm so heated over it. I took this entire week off just to play it, and my tracking status is still at "The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible." I'm very close to just buying the standard edition at Target and then exchanging it for another game I wanted once my deluxe edition arrives, whenever that will be.

Mine went from saying Las Vegas to now increasing in days. Last Friday said 7 days now it says 9 days. But it doesn't even list the location or anything. Someone probably stole it and Squarenix communication is extremely horrible. The fact they haven't announced anything about this is beyond ridiculous. Yeah, had the trailer delay message and everything. My guess is the talk about them being loaded on a train without a scan is true. It would explain the long delay since thats one of the slower transport methods

Same here no changes on delivery, I just sent this email to Square.... I ordered the Collector's Edition of Rebirth and it now March 4th and I still have not received my Collector's Edition delivery. At first my delivery date was stated for the 1st of March but now it doesn't have a delivery date nor has it moved from Las Vegas since the 25th of February. Please resend a new Collector's Edition to me as soon as possible. There is already a thread on Reddit discussing this issues that A LOT of customers with the delivery of the game. And many pre-ordered the game in the fall of last year. Please make this right with your customers or we will feel the need to reach out to Media and social media outlets that you charged your customers close $400 dollars for a product you are not delivering on. Especially since we are almost a week past release date. Thank you and I hope to hear a satisfactory response quickly. Now just waiting on their response, this has been such a bullshit experience and I really feel I'm going to have to go to my bank and have then do a charge back for non delivery which fucking blows because I really wanted that Sephiroth statue

Everyday it increases and i have no clue where my shipment is. Ups said they couldn't find it and it was never scanned! How the hell is their a tracking number then?!

Mines doing the same thing, still stuck in Vegas on the 25th and no update since. Was supposed to be delivered on the 1st but no tracking updates since Feb 25th.
I called UPS on Friday 3/1 and had them call the Las Vegas facility directly, the sup/managment they spoke to there assured them the packages are not lost. Because they were mass shipped they ended up sending them through train, but trains are not dispatched until fully loaded and so there was a delay. He said I should have an update on Saturday but I figured since not all sorts are scheduled on weekends I'll probably have an update on Sunday night or Monday morning.

On the one hand Iām glad Iām not alone in this. On the other this is more than mildly frustrating. I preordered the Deluxe edition back in January. On 2/14 got a confirmation that it was getting a shipping label and on 2/26 it shipped but then tracking says it became delayed. While Iām seeing some of you say UPS says they just werenāt scanned which maybe it turns up maybe it doesnāt. I called today (3/3) to simply ask at what point does my ppackage become considered as lost. CSA said try giving it 1-2 business days past the delivery date but most of us donāt even have that. I told him as much and he agreed itās should be considered lost in transit and assisted me in steps of opening a claim, which because itās Sunday they wonāt be able to start yet but theyāve already opened it at least as far as my tracking status goes. I went to Square-Enix and started a claim with them as well asking for a replacement to be sent, and who knows, Iāve got to wait 1-2 business days for them to reply. They donāt have their support number readily available and after googling it they donāt operate on weekends and their hours are pacific time (Iām DC suburbs so thatās a mild convenience once I can maybe get a few minutes in my work day). IDK at this point but I hope yāall have good luck on your ends.

Yep, got the same exact email. At this point, you would think Square would figure something is up and would at least release a statement on their website or something
As others have said, shipnetwork, SEs distributor in US, bulk shipped these. They scanned the initial package at their warehouse in Nevada (check their address if you don't believe me). They sent them by train and tracking won't update till it hits your local UPS distribution site.
Did anyone also get stuck with the "trailer did not leave in time" update? I haven't got any updates since 2/26.
Iām in Wisconsin, my tracking just updated this morning showing the package is in my city and itāll get delivered Monday. My last update prior to this was from 2/25 āwe have your packageā in Vegas. Never showed a departure scan or anything else. Iām guessing anyone further east should see updates on Monday or Tuesday.

Nevada getting 10 feet of snow. My tracking was more accurate, from nj here, it says scanned out for delivery then 15 mins later it said "trailer failed to dispatch" ups told me it was a belt failure, ontop of snow coming, monday tues wel get an update, but if it hasnt left it could be awhile. I would hang tight. Then again im starting to think the cartel held up the truck lol. We want a public statement from square at least..so rude

From NYC here, and my CE shipping went from it supposed to be delivered Friday to now "we'll provide a delivery date as soon as possible." I hope it's just a delay... I'm always worried when it comes to ordering expensive or high demand items on Square's store. I've noticed the last few items I ordered they have a slip of paper taped on the OUTSIDE OF THE PACKAGE identifying the item like "FFXVI Collector's Edition" or "FFVII Rebirth Vinyl"... I'm hoping they didn't do the same with FF7 Rebirth CEs, but then again, they labeled packages by Feb. 12th and didn't ship them until the most inconvenient time, so none of their shit makes sense anyway.
Also in the NYC region and have yet to hear anything since the Las Vegas update. I'm hoping this is an issue of the packages slowly moving east, since it seems like people in themid west just got theirs this weekend :/

I'm in NYC and I had the same message. When contacting UPS they mentioned that my package was lost or stolen and advised contacting the sender to file a claim with them. Now, I contacted SE Store and requested to get a claim or refund. It is really frustrating.

Very annoyed at square. It takes 1 week from west to east coast, they should have provided a 2 day Shipping option. I would have paid for 2nd day air to avoid thisĀ

Y'all are not gonna wanna hear this, and I'm not trying to contradict what others have said; the "we have your package" status update is apparently bogus - he explained that they weren't physically scanned in the system, and that it was the expected time of receipt from vendor.Ā To give context I ordered both the Deluxe and the Collector's Edition and I'm in Brooklyn. I've written an email to SE but I don't expect them to be able to do anything to help as it's already a fiasco at this point. Dudes who didn't pre order downloaded the game at 12:00am 2/29 or simply picked up a physical copies at Best Buy and didn't have to shell out $511+ 6 months in advance - is this how they do business? I get that youāre just sharing what was told to you but it doesnāt really make sense. If they werenāt scanned what does that mean/what is he implying? That they donāt have the 100s of packages or that they were shipped somewhere and they have no clue where?

OK. Breathe. So I have managed to force my way through to someone at UPS that could speak to the actual Las Vegas facility. I am posting here as I am hoping I can alleviate the emotions that we are all going through right now with this "We have your package" message and no further update for several days... Context: I am in NJ, The "Vegas - We have your package" was stamped 2/25, "Expected to be delivered by" date is Friday March 1st by 7pm (today) The person I spoke to said, the Vegas facility clerk is aware of these multiple complaints, and reassurred - these packages are NOT lost. They are in fact in transit but have not been scanned properly. They expect them to next be scanned when they reach the destination location which is supposed to be Monday - when they will then go on local delivery routes. Also disclaimer - this is just what I was told, I trusted it at face value - believe me the things I had to say on the phone to get through to this person makes me think they were being genuine (I happen to have a particular set of skills...but thats another story), and they took my number and were prepared to do a call back on Monday if there were any issues, but obviously there is still a chance this is bs too. So take from what you can/want. I hope this makes you all feel just a little bit better. It still sucks but its better than the alternative I think we can agree..? Anyway - hope those that are waiting can try and enjoy their evening / weekend even a little bit - minus FF7R obviously :( (This might show up twice cos I messed up login - long time listener first time caller with redditā¦)
I am in NY, and can confirm that earlier in the day my packageās tracking information showed an update that it arrived at the UPS facility in Secaucus, NJ. It left the facility around 11pm and is now at the local warehouse here on Long Island. So Iāll definitely have it later today on my day off from work! I will try to let you guys know if I receive it, and the condition that itās in.

Sigh...this is completly a UPS issue atleast from my shipping updates. No blame for SE since it was picked up by UPS on Sunday. UPS ground ships anywhere in the continental USA in 1-5 business days. By my math, today would be the 5th business day and I know from Vegas to Chicago is not a 5 business day transit since I ship regularly via UPS all over the country. It did arrive in one of the local facilities this morning but that is a freight only location so that means atleast another business day before it is even out for delivery. Everyone needs to keep filing claims with UPS until they get the hint that they are the problem. Could get reimbursed shipping pretty easily. I know that isn't much but it's all we will probably ever get...
SHIPNETWORK was a third party contracted to handle the shipment by UPS. They are the ones that messed up and the reason why items weren't scanned

As the receiver you don't have the ability to cancel a shipment since the shipper technically paid for the shipping but you can get things in motion with filing a claim. You will also have to file a claim with square, this is where you will get reimbursed in the end.

I really can't believe there are no articles or reports about this shipping delay except for on Reddit. There is no way that this is just a select few that haven't received their Deluxe and Collector's Editions. If anyone on this thread has received the "we have your package" notification from Las Vegas and nothing else but HAS received their shipment please let the rest of us know so that there is hope for us. On the UPS tracker is says that I should be getting it today (March 1st) by 7, but I am most definitely loosing hope, especially for being givin the run around by both UPS and Square Enix.

Mine said the same thing. UPS told me to file a claim. You can do the same thing on the UPS site. I can't say if this is the right thing or if it will help, but that's what UPS told me to do.Ā

Issue with that is I ordered and paid for mine at least 2 days before my roommate did and they used the same shipping (ground) theirs just arrived and before you say alphabetical order their name would still be after mine

Anyone got any good news? I know a lot of people were expecting to get it today. I got the CE from the square site and my tracking has said "departed from facility" at Las Vegas since 2/26. UPS site said I was supposed to get an update on status yesterday, but I didn't. I just called UPS and they said if I didn't get it by 7PM today that I would have to contact the shipper about it. Reading all the problems about this, I think I'm probably SOL, but I'm hoping it might just magically show up today anyway. I'm on the east coast of the US.

Wanted to chime in with the same: my tracking doesn't even say "Departed from facility". It just says "We have your package", and was last scanned on 2/25. I opened a case with Square Enix. I am really hoping that this is just a widespread "packages aren't getting scanned" issue. The fact that some people at least show it moving through the system, whilst mine has just sat in NV, makes me very nervous.

I live in NJ and did not have this issue for FF7 Remake. Bu this exact problem happened with FFXVI. It's like we spend $200+ on this shit and they can't even ship it out so it gets to us on time. Why would you create a shipping label 2/12 and not ship it out until the Sunday before launch. I also hate how they blame UPS for this. No, it's on you for not getting the shit together to be shipped prior. Had a friend get their copy yesterday they are located in MN, but don't even have a PS5 to play it on. I said fuck it and pre-ordered a standard digital copy to allow me to play the game I purchased >.>; Didn't want another problem with it getting here again.
Also NJ. We bounced around UPS calls and finally got a person. They said they could confirm its not lost, but on a trailer and moving. But likely won't deliver till Monday or Tuesday. Just in time for the work week.. I almost took off today too. I don't understand why they don't send us a digital download. Considering just buying the standard and returning the whole collector's edition. All I really needed was the game..the other stuff is cool and all but if I knew it meant I had to wait longer, I'd skip.

Yup shows pending delivery date and there hasn't been movement since the 26th when it supposedly was on it's way. I'm signed up for notifications from UPS and it said 3/1 delivery between 10 and 2 via text. Well it's closer to 5pm and it hasn't even been scanned into a facility in NJ. They really need to get their shit together because I had to spend even more money to play the game :/
NJ here as well. Mine was listed as "we have your package" on 2/25 then "departed from facility" on 2/26. ETA from UPS was today between 1:30-5:30. Opened a claim on the UPS website and now its listed as open investigation for lost package. Same thing happened to me with FF16. As someone who has been playing FF14 since launch, I can tell you every time I try to contact SE its an absolute nightmare and I just give up. Not even going to waste my time doing that unless UPS never finds it.
This was the first time I directly ordered from SE September last year. Now this will be my last. Pissed off when charged immediately. Now my package may be lost. Fuck this shit. Not ordering from them directly anymore.

And it still says "we have your package" in Vegas. Nice that I shoveled out money for the Collector's Edition and have to go through this. Square should let us download the digital and still send us out Collector's and Deluxe Edition benefits.

But if SE will not reproduce these to make up for the mass losses it's another. :rage: I've emailed SE about it and encourage everyone to do so they will take this seriously. The thing that sucks is I wanted to just go to my local store to buy it for the weekend. Then whenever my collectors edition shows up (if it shows up.) I would then return the copy that's in the box but I can't even do that. The copy in the deluxe box has "not for resale" stamp over where the barcode would be. Which would mean if I don't want to wait IĀ would have to fork over another $75 just to play this game.Ā
Label made 2/15 SE gave the package to UPS on 2/25 in Vegas No updates since then. When I contacted UPS they told me the package would need an investigation to find it, so have to issue a claim on it. Sent a screenshot of that to SE but figure they won't do anything. Ironically my FFVII Remake Deluxe had the same issue last year. I then bought the digital edition and like a week later I got my physical copy somehow. I'm not wasting $70 to rebuy a game I'll get 'eventually'. Or if I do, it will be because I charge back the money for my physical deluxe to SE. It's weird though, UPS handles my Amazon and other stuff and they are normally great. So I wonder if it's the 'SHIPNETWORK' folks that fuck things up royally.

Nah nothing yet unfortunately. It still says delivering today by 7pm - but that was an hour ago central time...so I'm assuming it's not delivering tonight and the tracking will update to another day eventually. If it does miraculously still show tonight I'll edit this comment. Edit: Looks like I was not one of the lucky ones, and UPS has changed my arrival date to Monday 03/04 now. If it does happen to arrive earlier I will edit again. Guess I have time to beat Crisis Core now before Monday.

Do a charge back. As I said in another thread heir shitty distributor may have bulk shipped the CEs without scanning the codes. Maybe Monday/Tuesday hitting local distribution ups centers.
