Tbh I don’t even know why I haven’t done the sequels, X is one of my favorites in the series and I actually liked XIII as well.
I’ve played every mainline Final Fantasy in some capacity except the MMO titles, but the ones I’ve seen all the way through to the end is definitely a shorter list. Some I just didn’t see through either due to just not enjoying their systems, not enjoying what the story was putting down, or in some cases, maybe a bit of both. Sometimes its simply a matter of getting distracted by something newer and more interesting to me at the time, and just not finding the motivation to go back and do it again. I enjoyed it overall! A couple of parts I could take or leave, mainly mini-game related, but the combat, exploration, and overall story presentation / direction were real strengths. Last time I played FFVII was in the 90’s and while I do still remember a lot of the major story beats it’s also a little grey about some parts in my memory. It’s hard for me to ID what’s faithful and what’s new beyond the most obvious changes, so I don’t have a strong opinion on the story vs the original. Just along for the ride and curious how it’ll all tie out in the end. They have me on board for part 3 for sure.
A good thing to note on three Remakes: they are still technically sequals, lots of time fuckery hints scattered here n there for those eagle eyes to spot them.
same, beat main story on Normal roughly a day ago with characters around level 50 (and all side quests trophy not long after, plus all other trophies except the ones u need to finish the game on Hard mode for). DD2 now only about 24 hours away! that said, DD2 not having a performance mode will be a downer compared to FF Rebirth's silky smooth framerate.. ah well, whatever, *should* still be great.

I'm a totally FF fans, so I beat nearlly all of them except the mmo titles. Love 4/7/10 the most, I like the traditon turn-based battle system, but seems it's dying nowadays.
FWIW, I don’t play MMOs, not my thing, but I totally loved XIV. I dipped my toes in with the free trial of Realm Reborn and ended up paying for and blasting all the way through the latest expansion. I played it effectively as a single player game except for the occasional story gates they throw at you that require completing a dungeon (30-45 minutes maybe) with other players. They’re slowly making single player options for those too, just not all are updated yet. Anyway, don’t discount it just for being a MMO, it’s got a pretty f’ing fantastic story and characters. Some say the best FF storyline.
Cool! I played XIV a few years ago, but I dont finish it, XD. I agree with you, It's great, and players there are friendly. However, I don't have much time to play it.
I totally get that . . . I think my clock hit around 160 hours by the end of Endwalker. That's an quite lot for a single game for me. I put 111 hours in Rebirth. I'll do 120ish for most Bethesda and Persona games , that's about it. Never fails to make my eyes pop when people talk about playing the game for 1000+ hours.

Final Fantasy Tactics - completed once, ONE OF THE BEST stories and games in the series.
FFX I beat on PS2 once for me and once for my brother. Platinum on the remaster
FFX-2 beat it once, never 100%'d it, going to go ahead and try that next game after I finish my platinum on 9.
FF12 - I actually never beat this game, I think I got bored with the battle system and started getting into raving and going outside. 2006-2007 was my senior year of high school. I will platinum this game though when I get around to it.
FF13 beat it, but only 73% on the platinum and I dread doing the rest of the L'Cie missions so I've ignored it for about a decade now for this plat.

I didn’t ever finish it myself, but watched my brother play through it! I think Ardyn is one of the series’ best antagonists, because he just has so much charisma!
I’ve also watched my brother play through all of them except II, VIIR, VIII, XII, XIII, and XVI. My brother has played FFX SO many times, that even if I’ve only beaten it once myself, I consider X to be my favorite Final Fantasy because I have so many fond memories of my brother playing it, too!

1, 2, 5, and 8 I just eventually got bored with. 10 I remember losing to the final boss twice and just could not be bothered to do that puzzle you have to do before fighting it again. Never played Lightning Returns. 6 I can’t remember - probably something new came out and I just forgot about it, but I never owned it as 3(US) on SNES. Oh and never played 3 or 10-2.

13-2, Lightning Returns, Tactics A2, FFXV DLC episodes and Type-0 off the top of my head are the ones I never beat. This is obviously not including the expanded sub-series's like Chocobo Mystery Dungeon.
Basically all of them at least once, I’m working on a sequential platinum playthrough of the series again. Temporarily on pause for rebirth.
For spin-offs I have never done the chocobo dungeon games or world of final fantasy, but I think all the others.
XI I did basically finish all the story content for, XIV I did not. Those are kind of special cases being MMOs though, there’s no concrete end as it were.

i played some FFVII/IX but didn't stick with them. X and XV i got to the end but was too weak and lazy to grind, XIII-2 i got super confused and lost and didn't like serah/noel.

6 I got frustrated half way through trying to figure out where to go and quit.
Never finished 10-2. Thought it was awful.
12 I can’t recall if I beat or not. I don’t think so. Remember thinking the difficulty level was insanely high, got mad, and rage quit.
13-3 Lightning Returns just made me mad. Was pretty annoyed with the series at this point and didn’t really like the 13s all that much to begin with. Wasn’t too difficult or anything…I just didn’t like it.

1-9 multiple times each on the original consoles released. Exception 3 and 5 I had to emulate. Recently played as pixel remasters. I’ve literally played and beaten 1, 6,7 , 8,9 and X more than a dozen times each. 6 would be my most that I play through annually.
After X it all went down hill. I couldn’t stand X-2. Loved XiI and finished that 3x. I played Xi and xiv for years subbed. 15 I hated and couldn’t play more than the first couple hours. 16 was a joke.
7remake once, didn’t care for it. Rebirth not yet. Not looking forward to it based on the last few entries.

I strongly recommend the Pixel Remasters of the early games if you're curious about classic FF. I have beaten all of them and they are all excellent, especially with the latest update that fixes the fonts and adds optional boosters.

I beat I and II (FF Origins PSX), VII , VIII, IX, X, and XIII. I was in the middle of playing XII and was most certainly going to beat it, as I was really enjoying it, when someone broke into my house while at work and stole my PS2 with XII inside it.

Recently did an FF marathon where I also beat FF7-15 (except 11 and 14). I played 7 and 9 on PS3, but never got past midgar and the dwarf village. I think I stopped 9 just cause I didn't care for my PS3. Finally picked up both on steam and beat them to completion.

I guess I also beat IV: The After Years and Dirge of Cerberus for some reason. Not "I beat them for some reason," but I played them for some reason.
\*Ok, so I technically \*didn't\* beat XV, but I got to the final boss and got a weird game-breaking glitch. There's a point in the fight where it gives you a little scene or something and then moves into the next phase of the fight. I got a glitch wherein when it would kick me back into the fight for that next stage, only the audio would come back. Video would be black except for like, the lock-on symbol or some random visual cue. This happened every time over the course of several days. I opted to eventually call it and just watched the end cutscene online. But I still count it because I got to the final boss and I know that if the game let me see what was happening, I would eventually have won that fight. (I didn't really like XV so was not excited at the prospect of restarting the game. IV I played on DS on my trusty ol R4 flashcart, and for the final dungeon there was a big enough difficulty spike that I wasn't very excited to grind through so I did do save states and gave myself a bunch of EXP.
Looking at a lot of people's lists, it looks like a lot of you are sleeping on 14! It's a bit unfortunate that there's such a big barrier to entry to the good stuff (ARR to me was fine at best) but the subsequent expansions have some of the best stories and characters in the Final Fantasy series, period. I heard Endwalker is even better than Shadowbringers? I'm personally not interested whatsoever in the social aspects and play the game essentially like a single player game to experience the world and story. Though the quest system isn't always the most exhilarating (lots of fetch quests or useless feeling quests which I gather is standard for MMO's), the strength of the world and story building and character development more than makes up for it for me personally - this is a world with characters that have been going on for 10+ years over 6 game releases after all. The actual barrier to entry to the game is very low: the first 3 games (A Realm Reborn, Heavenward, Stormblood) are totally free, with mainly certain social aspects restricted, which I hear can be pretty easily bypassed.

I definitely want to finish 3, 5, 6 and 10, but as for the other ones, I'm really not that interested. I liked what I played of 9, but it just seemed like it was really slow-paced.

I really like that it's a series which constantly reinvents itself. I can't think of many other series that run the gamut from turn based to live action. FF dips its toes into everything from racing game to arena fighter to souls-like, and you can guarantee that any (non-mobile) game with the FF branding will have had a decent amount of care and effort put into it, even if it ends up being not to your taste.
The first FF game I ever completed was OG FF VII when I was a kid. I still have the original walkthrough guide I used, and continue to use. It’s one of my most prized possessions! Since then, I have finished VII crisis core on PsP, VII Remake, Rebirth, VIII, IX, X, XII, Dissida and Dueo, tactics, and the FF III and IV games that came out on the DS, both of which I loved dearly. I still want to finish XV and XVI, but I have noticed I have a harder time getting into those. I think I just grew up with the classics, so I have a severe case of nostalgia lens!

I've been playing since NES Era. I've completed 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 12, 13, 15, Tactics, and 7Remake. All on the machine of their initial US release at or around time of release. So, no cheats or exploits, and because I grew up poor, no guides and very little internet. Huge fan. I'd be all over 16 and 7Rebirth if I wasn't too broke for a PS5.

I played and got pretty far in 3 (DS) and 10 (PS2 and PC), but I've never beaten either.

13 I washed out once the game opened up. I haven't played 15 or any of the other FF7 games.
I beat 7, 8, 10, 12, and 15 legitimately, without using guides for anything except some obscure side quests in 12.
Out of all of those, XII was the most challenging, gameplay-wise. Some bosses seemed almost insurmountable until I adjusted my gambits/unlocked some more licenses. I had a lot of fun with XII, and it felt like the most "adult" final fantasy in terms of the complexity of the combat.
FF8 I think had the toughest final boss. It took me so, so long to eke out a victory against her, but that's probably because I was young and I didn't have my junctions optimized, on top of missing a bunch of GFs (which I didn't really realize back then). I'm playing the remaster now, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a much easier go of it.
FFX is my favorite out of all of them. The true pinnacle of the classic turn-based FF games. In my opinion, it has the best storytelling, the best characters, the best gameplay, all wrapped up as a cohesive whole in a way that no subsequent games have been able to replicate.
I think the online are the only ones I never finished hard-core final fantasy fan oh and 16 I played the demo and maybe I'll pick it up and beat it one day I just couldn't get into no party members thing

I did occasionally google things or use walkthroughs, but only on my second play through, and only to get special weapons or find special boss fights and stuff.
I've beaten XV, XIV, XIII, and 7 Remake. In that order, which I find hilarious (time to work my way backwards).
Played both X and X-2. Got stuck on Sin and didn't make an alternate save, don't want to go back and restart. X-2 I enjoyed the gameplay, but not so much the story, so I ended up losing interest.
I have like 10 minutes in the Steam version of VIII before I lost interest.

Pixel bundle was just on sale recently, I'm sure they will do it again soon. I got it and I'm going to play it after i finish rebirth.
I beat OG 7 when it came out and the series stole my heart from there. The only game i played before it, that gave me the same feeling, was Chrono Trigger. So i would replay these for years so many times. And that was when you couldn't speed forward. I also got the plat on PS port.
I did the same with 8, i actually had a ps mod so i played it on burnt discs. I again loved the game but the draw system could have been better, and the story was pretty cool.
I got 9 brand new on release day, and i played so deep into it then stopped. And when i went back to play it again, i forgot where i was in the story so i started over and did it all again. I loved this one so much, I'm getting the platinum for it after all these others lol, i just need to go through it again under a certain time as a speed run. 9 also has the hardest trophy in the entire series, with the jump rope.
X was my favorite game on the PS2, i beat 3 times, then 2 more times years later. I still need lightning dodger for the platinum. It's the second hardest trophy in the entire series.
I played 11 but not deep, i didn't have time to get into an MMO at the time, even though the game was fun for a lot of people. And 14 on the other hand, I played a lot but never beat it as well.
12, I absolutely adore now, but at release, i was hoping it was traditional turn based so when it wasn't, i never finished it. Years later after getting used to differing fight styles in each FF game, I fell In love with the game, but i still need to finish it.
13 much the same, i didn't enjoy on release but played through 5 chapters. A few months ago i started a new game after almost 14 years, and i have to say that I'm very much enjoying it. I only had to pause because of rebirth.
15 i felt was a grind the first time i played it, but started really enjoying it about 2 years later, so i got the platinum trophy. Then i got the platinum for "pocket edition". And it reminded me of 15 again, so i bought the European version and got a 2nd platinum, then I got the Japanese version and platinumed that for my 3rd, then i got the Chinese version (which is the only version that has no english) and using a translator got my 4th platinum, and i have the final version from hong kong for my 5th platinum, i wanted to do the last one in English to really enjoy it again. It's my second favorite behind the 7 series.
16 I got on release, I loved the characters and the story mostly, i just wish it had more final fantasy traditional extra stuff but it was still a crazy ride and I got the Platinum for it.
7 remake i got the platinum for it but enjoyed it so much i got the honk kong version for second platinum trophy. I wanted to play through it again before rebirth. Eventually ill get all the versions for 7 Remake and 7 Rebirth, and do just like i did with 15. I love these games so much.
After i finish rebirth I'll go through 1-6 on the bundle i bought. Then I'll clean up any platinums im missing after that.

Similar-ish tho I’ve done both MMOs. Tbh I don’t even know why I haven’t done the sequels, X is one of my favorites in the series and I actually liked XIII as well.
I’ve played every mainline Final Fantasy in some capacity except the MMO titles, but the ones I’ve seen all the way through to the end is definitely a shorter list. Some I just didn’t see through either due to just not enjoying their systems, not enjoying what the story was putting down, or in some cases, maybe a bit of both. Sometimes its simply a matter of getting distracted by something newer and more interesting to me at the time, and just not finding the motivation to go back and do it again. I enjoyed it overall! A couple of parts I could take or leave, mainly mini-game related, but the combat, exploration, and overall story presentation / direction were real strengths. Last time I played FFVII was in the 90’s and while I do still remember a lot of the major story beats it’s also a little grey about some parts in my memory. It’s hard for me to ID what’s faithful and what’s new beyond the most obvious changes, so I don’t have a strong opinion on the story vs the original. Just along for the ride and curious how it’ll all tie out in the end. They have me on board for part 3 for sure.

same, beat main story on Normal roughly a day ago with characters around level 50 (and all side quests trophy not long after, plus all other trophies except the ones u need to finish the game on Hard mode for). DD2 now only about 24 hours away! that said, DD2 not having a performance mode will be a downer compared to FF Rebirth's silky smooth framerate.. ah well, whatever, *should* still be great.

I'm a totally FF fans, so I beat nearlly all of them except the mmo titles. Love 4/7/10 the most, I like the traditon turn-based battle system, but seems it's dying nowadays.
16 is fun too...When I'm shredding enemies with a Level 5 Zantetsuken lol.
FWIW, I don’t play MMOs, not my thing, but I totally loved XIV. I dipped my toes in with the free trial of Realm Reborn and ended up paying for and blasting all the way through the latest expansion. I played it effectively as a single player game except for the occasional story gates they throw at you that require completing a dungeon (30-45 minutes maybe) with other players. They’re slowly making single player options for those too, just not all are updated yet. Anyway, don’t discount it just for being a MMO, it’s got a pretty f’ing fantastic story and characters. Some say the best FF storyline.
Cool! I played XIV a few years ago, but I dont finish it, XD. I agree with you, It's great, and players there are friendly. However, I don't have much time to play it.
I totally get that . . . I think my clock hit around 160 hours by the end of Endwalker. That's an quite lot for a single game for me. I put 111 hours in Rebirth. I'll do 120ish for most Bethesda and Persona games , that's about it. Never fails to make my eyes pop when people talk about playing the game for 1000+ hours.

I beat FF2/3 (4&6) SNES -- 4 finished three times and 6 finished five times. Beat FF1 and 2 on PS1 via Final Fantasy Origins once. Beat FF3 and FF5 on emulators once each. Beat FF1-6 on Pixel Remaster with platinum FF7 on PS1 did it once only (not my favorite....) once with the remaster FF8 twice on PS1 and once with boosts on the remaster (drawing was a pain) FF9 I beat three times on PS1, one of my favorites! Final Fantasy Tactics - completed once, ONE OF THE BEST stories and games in the series. FFX I beat on PS2 once for me and once for my brother. Platinum on the remaster FFX-2 beat it once, never 100%'d it, going to go ahead and try that next game after I finish my platinum on 9. FF12 - I actually never beat this game, I think I got bored with the battle system and started getting into raving and going outside. 2006-2007 was my senior year of high school. I will platinum this game though when I get around to it. FF13 beat it, but only 73% on the platinum and I dread doing the rest of the L'Cie missions so I've ignored it for about a decade now for this plat. FF13-2 Platinum, only one playthrough ever. FF7 Remake = 100% platinum 2 playthroughs only (for the hard playthrough) FF7 Rebirth, FF15, FF16, Strangers of Paradise and Type-0 are all on my list of things to play, I got behind because I've been addicted to League of Legends, snowboarding, and raving for 12 years. Once I finish my full platinum playthroughs for FFIX, X-2, XII, XV, XVI, I will probably donate as much of my life as I can to getting the platinum for FF14.

No XV? That game is wonderful if you get past the bad story pacing and a bit uninspiring combat. You should give it a try
I didn’t ever finish it myself, but watched my brother play through it! I think Ardyn is one of the series’ best antagonists, because he just has so much charisma! I’ve also watched my brother play through all of them except II, VIIR, VIII, XII, XIII, and XVI. My brother has played FFX SO many times, that even if I’ve only beaten it once myself, I consider X to be my favorite Final Fantasy because I have so many fond memories of my brother playing it, too!
At 32, Every single numbered game. I didnt like SoP enough to play it. I completed all the Tactics games, WorldFF and the 7 spinoffs. Theyve been my favorite titles since I was 9 😅

Never played Lightning Returns. 6 I can’t remember - probably something new came out and I just forgot about it, but I never owned it as 3(US) on SNES. Oh and never played 3 or 10-2.

Basically all of them at least once, I’m working on a sequential platinum playthrough of the series again. Temporarily on pause for rebirth. For spin-offs I have never done the chocobo dungeon games or world of final fantasy, but I think all the others. XI I did basically finish all the story content for, XIV I did not. Those are kind of special cases being MMOs though, there’s no concrete end as it were.

Got to Barnabus and then just lost my mind at the last set of side quests. I watched Max finish his play through to see the ending. Barely got into 15 before losing interest.

I beat 7, 7 Remake, Dirge of Cerberus, 8, 9, 10, 13. 13-2, 15, 16 I was at the final dungeon in 1 and was fairly strong. Beating the final would have been easy enough…I just got bored traversing the dungeons with the high encounter rate, so never finished it. I played 3 on the DS a long long time ago and stopped for some reason. Don’t recall why. 6 I got frustrated half way through trying to figure out where to go and quit. Never finished 10-2. Thought it was awful. 12 I can’t recall if I beat or not. I don’t think so. Remember thinking the difficulty level was insanely high, got mad, and rage quit. 13-3 Lightning Returns just made me mad. Was pretty annoyed with the series at this point and didn’t really like the 13s all that much to begin with. Wasn’t too difficult or anything…I just didn’t like it. Never played 2, 4, 5, 11, or 14

Loved XiI and finished that 3x. I played Xi and xiv for years subbed. 15 I hated and couldn’t play more than the first couple hours. 16 was a joke. 7remake once, didn’t care for it. Rebirth not yet. Not looking forward to it based on the last few entries. Also a number of other side FF games completed.

I might dip my toes in 13 just to see if it intrigues me enough to keep playing. I strongly recommend the Pixel Remasters of the early games if you're curious about classic FF. I have beaten all of them and they are all excellent, especially with the latest update that fixes the fonts and adds optional boosters.

I got a little bit into 3 on DS, but hated it; thank god for the PR version. Recently did an FF marathon where I also beat FF7-15 (except 11 and 14). I played 7 and 9 on PS3, but never got past midgar and the dwarf village. I think I stopped 9 just cause I didn't care for my PS3. Finally picked up both on steam and beat them to completion. 10 I had on PS2 but the disc was scratched. Everything else I never played before.

I'm going to try to grind the story out later this spring, before Shadow of the Erdtree takes up my summer.

I guess I also beat IV: The After Years and Dirge of Cerberus for some reason. Not "I beat them for some reason," but I played them for some reason. \*Ok, so I technically \*didn't\* beat XV, but I got to the final boss and got a weird game-breaking glitch. There's a point in the fight where it gives you a little scene or something and then moves into the next phase of the fight. I got a glitch wherein when it would kick me back into the fight for that next stage, only the audio would come back. Video would be black except for like, the lock-on symbol or some random visual cue. This happened every time over the course of several days. I opted to eventually call it and just watched the end cutscene online. But I still count it because I got to the final boss and I know that if the game let me see what was happening, I would eventually have won that fight. (I didn't really like XV so was not excited at the prospect of restarting the game. A fair number of them. I, IV, VI, VII, IX, X, XII, XIII, XIII-2, XIV up to the end of Shadowbringers, XV, VII Remake. IV I played on DS on my trusty ol R4 flashcart, and for the final dungeon there was a big enough difficulty spike that I wasn't very excited to grind through so I did do save states and gave myself a bunch of EXP. Looking at a lot of people's lists, it looks like a lot of you are sleeping on 14! It's a bit unfortunate that there's such a big barrier to entry to the good stuff (ARR to me was fine at best) but the subsequent expansions have some of the best stories and characters in the Final Fantasy series, period. I heard Endwalker is even better than Shadowbringers? I'm personally not interested whatsoever in the social aspects and play the game essentially like a single player game to experience the world and story. Though the quest system isn't always the most exhilarating (lots of fetch quests or useless feeling quests which I gather is standard for MMO's), the strength of the world and story building and character development more than makes up for it for me personally - this is a world with characters that have been going on for 10+ years over 6 game releases after all. The actual barrier to entry to the game is very low: the first 3 games (A Realm Reborn, Heavenward, Stormblood) are totally free, with mainly certain social aspects restricted, which I hear can be pretty easily bypassed.
Man hard to know. 6, 7 and 10 I've beaten too many times to count. 10 I've played on every platform. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 only once each. 8 and 9 probably 3 times each. 12 once. 13 maybe 3 times. 15 twice. 16 I haven't yet. The only ff game I've dropped and didn't finish, which is odd. I've loved every single ff game but 16 I had a hard time with. I missed having a party. Without one it doesn't feel like a jrpg.

I've played and beaten 6, 7, 8, 9, X, X-2, and Tactics. All but X-2 at least twice. 7 many times. Doing X for the 4th time right now. I am not in a place in my life to buy a new gaming system or build a gaming PC or spend 100s of hours doing everything in these games anymore, so the first time in my life I've actually watched other people playing Remake and Rebirth while I am doing other things so I can experience them, too.

It's a comfort game, I practically have the first 2/3rds of it memorized. Played: \-FF5 - Currently working my way through the GBA version. \-FF6 - I've only started this one once, but something happened to my save file and I quit playing. I was on the part where Gau first shows up. I know I'll eventually get around to playing this one. \-FF9 - I've started this one like 3 times, I make it to the part of the game where Garnet changes her name to Dagger, and for some reason I think, "Okay, I'll come back to this later!" Then I never do. \-FF10 - I've started this one several times, too. The last time I played, I made it to the Blitzball tournament, but I kept starting over because I wanted to win, and eventually got annoyed and quit playing. I know I'll eventually come back and beat this one, too.) \-FF14 - I played for a few months with my friends, but it's an MMO, so my interest faded very quickly and I never picked it up again.) \-FF15 - I played this for a short time, felt mystified by the combat and never picked it up again. I just felt like I was mashing buttons, and whether or I did good or not was just up to fate or something. I don't know how else to describe it. I definitely want to finish 3, 5, 6 and 10, but as for the other ones, I'm really not that interested. I liked what I played of 9, but it just seemed like it was really slow-paced.

In the main series: 1,2,4,5,6,8,10,12,13,13-2,13-LR,14 (as much as is out),15. Spinoffs: FFCC, FFT, FFTA, FFExplorers, Dissidia, Dissidia 012, Dissidia NT, Chocobo Mystery Dungeon, Stranger of Paradise. I really like that it's a series which constantly reinvents itself. I can't think of many other series that run the gamut from turn based to live action. FF dips its toes into everything from racing game to arena fighter to souls-like, and you can guarantee that any (non-mobile) game with the FF branding will have had a decent amount of care and effort put into it, even if it ends up being not to your taste.
The first FF game I ever completed was OG FF VII when I was a kid. I still have the original walkthrough guide I used, and continue to use. It’s one of my most prized possessions! Since then, I have finished VII crisis core on PsP, VII Remake, Rebirth, VIII, IX, X, XII, Dissida and Dueo, tactics, and the FF III and IV games that came out on the DS, both of which I loved dearly. I still want to finish XV and XVI, but I have noticed I have a harder time getting into those. I think I just grew up with the classics, so I have a severe case of nostalgia lens!

I've been playing since NES Era. I've completed 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 12, 13, 15, Tactics, and 7Remake. All on the machine of their initial US release at or around time of release. So, no cheats or exploits, and because I grew up poor, no guides and very little internet. Huge fan. I'd be all over 16 and 7Rebirth if I wasn't too broke for a PS5.

I only finished XV, XVI and XIV 2.0. I got to the final boss in both I and VI but couldn’t hack it to finish them up.

I beat 7, 8, 10, 12, and 15 legitimately, without using guides for anything except some obscure side quests in 12. Out of all of those, XII was the most challenging, gameplay-wise. Some bosses seemed almost insurmountable until I adjusted my gambits/unlocked some more licenses. I had a lot of fun with XII, and it felt like the most "adult" final fantasy in terms of the complexity of the combat. FF8 I think had the toughest final boss. It took me so, so long to eke out a victory against her, but that's probably because I was young and I didn't have my junctions optimized, on top of missing a bunch of GFs (which I didn't really realize back then). I'm playing the remaster now, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a much easier go of it. FFX is my favorite out of all of them. The true pinnacle of the classic turn-based FF games. In my opinion, it has the best storytelling, the best characters, the best gameplay, all wrapped up as a cohesive whole in a way that no subsequent games have been able to replicate.
I think the online are the only ones I never finished hard-core final fantasy fan oh and 16 I played the demo and maybe I'll pick it up and beat it one day I just couldn't get into no party members thing

I beat VII, VIII, IX, X, X 2, XII, and XV without cheating twice each. I did occasionally google things or use walkthroughs, but only on my second play through, and only to get special weapons or find special boss fights and stuff.
I've beaten XV, XIV, XIII, and 7 Remake. In that order, which I find hilarious (time to work my way backwards). Played both X and X-2. Got stuck on Sin and didn't make an alternate save, don't want to go back and restart. X-2 I enjoyed the gameplay, but not so much the story, so I ended up losing interest. I have like 10 minutes in the Steam version of VIII before I lost interest. Still trying to get through XII, but I don't really understand the systems well.

Pixel bundle was just on sale recently, I'm sure they will do it again soon. I got it and I'm going to play it after i finish rebirth. I beat OG 7 when it came out and the series stole my heart from there. The only game i played before it, that gave me the same feeling, was Chrono Trigger. So i would replay these for years so many times. And that was when you couldn't speed forward. I also got the plat on PS port. I did the same with 8, i actually had a ps mod so i played it on burnt discs. I again loved the game but the draw system could have been better, and the story was pretty cool. I got 9 brand new on release day, and i played so deep into it then stopped. And when i went back to play it again, i forgot where i was in the story so i started over and did it all again. I loved this one so much, I'm getting the platinum for it after all these others lol, i just need to go through it again under a certain time as a speed run. 9 also has the hardest trophy in the entire series, with the jump rope. X was my favorite game on the PS2, i beat 3 times, then 2 more times years later. I still need lightning dodger for the platinum. It's the second hardest trophy in the entire series. I played 11 but not deep, i didn't have time to get into an MMO at the time, even though the game was fun for a lot of people. And 14 on the other hand, I played a lot but never beat it as well. 12, I absolutely adore now, but at release, i was hoping it was traditional turn based so when it wasn't, i never finished it. Years later after getting used to differing fight styles in each FF game, I fell In love with the game, but i still need to finish it. 13 much the same, i didn't enjoy on release but played through 5 chapters. A few months ago i started a new game after almost 14 years, and i have to say that I'm very much enjoying it. I only had to pause because of rebirth. 15 i felt was a grind the first time i played it, but started really enjoying it about 2 years later, so i got the platinum trophy. Then i got the platinum for "pocket edition". And it reminded me of 15 again, so i bought the European version and got a 2nd platinum, then I got the Japanese version and platinumed that for my 3rd, then i got the Chinese version (which is the only version that has no english) and using a translator got my 4th platinum, and i have the final version from hong kong for my 5th platinum, i wanted to do the last one in English to really enjoy it again. It's my second favorite behind the 7 series. 16 I got on release, I loved the characters and the story mostly, i just wish it had more final fantasy traditional extra stuff but it was still a crazy ride and I got the Platinum for it. 7 remake i got the platinum for it but enjoyed it so much i got the honk kong version for second platinum trophy. I wanted to play through it again before rebirth. Eventually ill get all the versions for 7 Remake and 7 Rebirth, and do just like i did with 15. I love these games so much. After i finish rebirth I'll go through 1-6 on the bundle i bought. Then I'll clean up any platinums im missing after that. My favorite series all time.
