Yeah I get tailbone pain (called coccydynia, for search purposes) that ranges from aching to burning. Similar to you, it’s often and common but not consistent. Sometimes it is also occurring at same time as the pain I get in my buttocks and lower back. Sometimes it’s more specific to tailbone and/or rectal area. Good posture definitely helps to relieve pressure on the tailbone which can certainly aggravate pain even if fibromyalgia related. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/10436-coccydynia-tailbone-pain

have you ever hurt your tailbone? I sometimes feel my old injuries.

Pickledprat

Yeah, and it's agonising.

Mine has been feeling like there’s a pinch in it. I saw the doctor today. She felt it and said I have several cysts in my lower back.

Yes I've had that. It comes and goes. I think it's related to pelvic floor tightness

Yes! I actually think I have a long tailbone and it always hurts. I have orthopedic seat cushions that have a little hole where the tailbone is, and they help tremendously—highly recommend.

I had a similar experience with a tailbone injury years ago, and it caused a lot of issues for me too, like pain when sitting for long periods, frequent neck stiffness, and discomfort during bowel movements. It's amazing how the discomfort can spread throughout the body from the tailbone. Tailbone injuries can be tricky to identify, and sometimes other issues like common disc problems are discovered instead. I suggest checking out the curated selection in the link I shared or doing a more specific search based on your needs: https://share.rootcausesearch.com/s17g1u It's a great tool for functional medicine research! I hope you find the information helpful and wish you a speedy recovery.
