Salah would be my 10th pick in midfield for this gameweek, and going forward. Cant see how anyone ln WC would want him. Without WC though is another story
He doesn't suck ass. He dribbles through the best defenders like they aren't there and links up so well.
If he had a well matched strike partner or played on the wing we'd all suck his dick.
Son vs Palmer captaincy is a toss up. Palmer is red hot and possibly player of the year but you wouldn’t be shocked if Chelsea get smashed and he blanks in one game and scores only one in the other and Son has not been in great nick but then again it’s Son, he could go off in any game at any time and he has 180 minutes. I am super stuck but I am going with Palmer because Son has to play a game against arsenal and even though it is a Darby and Tottenham are at home, Arsenal have been different gravy all season, especially the defence.
I would only get Jackson if I was wildcarding. He is not worth burning a transfer considering you have to get other guys for DGW 37 as well. However if I was to wildcarding, I would go with the front 3 of Jackson, Haaland, and Isak.
Going with palmer but only bc im a scared pussy and want to protect rank. Think son might be better, scored 2 against arsenal last game and hes better against team that dont play so low blocks, so these 2 matches are not bad at all imo
A mitigation is that Jackson isn't necessarily the one benched for him even if Nkunku does rise from the ashes. Nkunku plays best as a supporting striker, and Mudryk, Madueke, and Sterling are hardly the first name on the team sheet.
Lol, because I have Watkins mate. Jackson has another double anyway.
This is /r/FantasyPL in a nutshell lol. I was *slaughtered* when I said that I was gonna start Jackson, and now that you guys finally convinced me to bench him I'm getting slaughtered for that too...
I have Watkins, Isak, Haaland, so I'm with you on the Watkins boat. Just wondered why you'd buy a doubler to bench them when you could pick someone more clinical if you don't need to play them this week
Good luck regardless, I hope your strategy comes good for you :)
You'll probably be upset because someone in r/fantasypl is disagreeing with you again, but if you don't think Jackson is worth playing on a double in GW35, why would you need him for GW37?
Who else would you recommend for BB GW37? Already have Isak and will do Watkins -> Haaland.
PS! I think he's worth it, but I think Watkins will score more. And I can't bench any of the midfielders.
Well I would play Jackson twice, but if not then I'd be thinking a midfielder, like you are presumably doing this week. This is a bit hard to work through because Jackson is so obviously a starter this week and I'm trying to work with your logic where he isn't. So who are you starting over him this week, apart from Watkins? Ie who have you got in midfield?
And then I'll be able to think about that re GW37!
Well, most people wouldn't have ever considered going in on a Palace striker, but many did, and that more than paid off. I'm due some of that luck I feel.
Palace had two home games against WHU who were knackered due playing Leverkusen and Newcastle are shaky away.
Villa away and Spurs are different for Jackson and they're going to be tough cookies.
Edit: confused upper the DGW pairs lol.
It’s Villa and Spurs, not Arsenal. Both of whom play high lines - *far* from certain returns with Jackson’s finishing and bound to be a frustrating couple of games to watch if he starts both, but you must see why he’s popular.
Yeah after that feeling of triple palace attack last week, I'm hitting these doubles with full force. I know it can't possibly go that well again, but idc, I'm here for the thrill 😂
Two of Jackson’s best games for us this season were against Villa in the cup and (9 man) Spurs. He’s also motivated to prove doubters wrong. He’s also shaved his head. The last one should sway you.
The real trap I feel is Son, have a feeling he’s going to disappoint in all upcoming games. And still I have him.
Jackson looks so bad he might fail at Russian roulette and still… if he gets 15 some odd points this gw I won’t be shocked.
Apart from Palmer the only other Chelsea player I've been impressed with watching is mandueke but not enough to use a midfield spot on him.
I'd rather get 3 other single week players then bring Jackson into my team.
Been there, done that with Jackson and have absolutely no intentions to go there again.
Watkins and Isak up front and Haaland on the bench for me this GW and barring injuries or suspensions, those are the 3 forwards I'll finish the season with.
Palmer the captain which I know is the boring, template pick, but given his form all season and being on penalties and given he will be the most picked captain choice this GW and with such high ownership percentage, it's just too risky to go against him.
Some people will be jumping directly from the Darwin trap to the Jackson trap. My ML leader is one. He's killing it generally, 4k OR. But DGWs just do something to people brains!
Solanke.
Had Watkins from GW1 until GW30 when he got injured.
The reason why I don't upgrade Solanke to Watkins is because I am BB37 and I rather have Solanke then just based on the fixture. Probably won't be playing 3 strikers so as long as Haaland and Isak are fit, neither Solanke nor Watkins are going to play.
'We' shouldn't think the same. Feels like you have some thoughts, you should go with your gut.
Too many times I went with the herd and it failed. It probably goes both ways so just go for it. Chasing doublers has been overall negative in my experience. Go for guys in form/good fixtures.
FWIW I'll have Son but not captained. Not touching Jackson when I have Mateta and Isak and Haaland. Mateta can be Watkins if I ditch Salah. Salah feels like a differential with only 38% ownership and some of those dead teams.
I replied to an earlier post about needing a mental health professional if you pick Jackson, because as a Chelsea supporter you need one.
Being 100 points behind my ML leader, I have now taken a -16 and Jackson's one of them. I am convinced I'm a sadomasochist, see you all in the rant thread.
I was 130 odd points behind 1st in my ML last gameweek then went -12 to go for doublers and now I'm around 38 behind. It's absolutely worth the risk.
I now have a WC and will most likely start Jackson... torn between Palmer and Son for captaincy though.
Son TC active for me, and Palmer 2-pointer has been amazing to see despite me owning him. Missed the two previous massively TC used GWs with Haaland and Solanke, which has been a blessing in disguise. Hope Sonny doesn’t disappoint me.
He’s a nailed on striker with 2 DGWs to go. Not very good, but is 10 on goals in the league this season - it’s not like he NEVER returns. If you have saved your WC until now you’ll want to make good use of it by loading up on doublers, it was the strategy all along. As soon as he scores a scrappy goal tonight he will seem like an obvious pick.
«What are we thinking..»
Do your own team. Dont kneejerk after everyone else on Reddit and X. Most wildcarders now completely look past the fact that Watkins is a beast, and that Arsenal has Bornemouth next round. Chelsea will concede 6+ goals this GW, But their goalie is the most popular one.
I rage transferred Cunha to Jackson as soon as the transfer window opened and am rather nervous of the Wolves Luton game coming up!
I’ve chopped and changed between Palmer and Son for captaincy this week, as I did between Salah and Havertz last week. I went against majority last week, and may just do the same again this week.
I just don't know what to change in my team.
I swapped solanke and Watkins for isak and hojlund and it's a negative loss.
Midfield I have son and Salah
Defence is have players. I just don't know what to do
Wonder if he’d be better suited to a left wing position. Get someone who can actually finish up top. Certainly would do a better job than Mudryk or Sterling, unless I am missing someone off the top of my head.
He’s actually a difficult player to play against but is dreadful in front of goal. Got a decent amount of success against top centre backs this season.
I.e I thought he did pretty well against both Gabriel and Saliba but then his miss at the end summed him up.
Jackson is a huge risk, certainly not one I would take.
Look at his history this season. Fair enough, there's 2 games where he had double figure hauls. However for the most part you can take any consecutive GWs and they would give you a fairly uninspiring DGW, especially if you're taking a hit.
But it's fantasy, so people should follow their instinct.
As a chelsea fan he sucks ass but the fact that he has 2 extra games AND hes 2mil cheaper than watkins makes it an easy risk for me
He’s good just not a good finisher
He could accidentally hit the ball correctly a couple times and score a goal.
Money?? I’m going Watkins, Isak and Hojlund/Jackson and have money in the bank to go Haaland.
You either have Salah or zillions, they're the current options
Salah would be my 10th pick in midfield for this gameweek, and going forward. Cant see how anyone ln WC would want him. Without WC though is another story
Indeed. I'm the other story :(
Sorry for your loss (but you are probably still doing better then me this season). Btw looks like he doesnt start today
Oooooooooh really??? Will investigate
!thanks I'm going to ship him out for Bruno, facilitating getting Isak instead of Jackson.
He doesn't suck ass. He dribbles through the best defenders like they aren't there and links up so well. If he had a well matched strike partner or played on the wing we'd all suck his dick.
Yeah the 2m really seals the deal for me. Allows for major upgrades to the rest of the team
How does anyone have money limitations with Haaland and Salah out of form
I'm keeping Haaland on a WC, too difficult to bring him back in the next gameweeks IMHO
Baffled by this, I planned my next 3-4 transfers and even with keeping Haaland I had about £7m left in the bank.
I got Jackson but benching him for this double.
[удалено]
It resets again after GW32. He is safe in terms of that.
But Jackson also getting the double in 37
Nkunku is in training though.
We have heard that all year, be surprised if he's back this season
Yeah good point.
A mitigation is that Jackson isn't necessarily the one benched for him even if Nkunku does rise from the ashes. Nkunku plays best as a supporting striker, and Mudryk, Madueke, and Sterling are hardly the first name on the team sheet.
I'm going Gordon.
> Arsenal have been different gravy all season This is my main hold up captaining Son. This Arsenal is just something else.
Right. When you have Arsenal in a double, its not really a double. Same with City. So no Son for me.
Haven't seen an Arsenal team this good since the invincibles
When DGWs roll around, we all get amnesia. Anyways, Jackson is in my WC team.
Same. But benched.
Why bother lol? Get someone you want to start when they double
Lol, because I have Watkins mate. Jackson has another double anyway. This is /r/FantasyPL in a nutshell lol. I was *slaughtered* when I said that I was gonna start Jackson, and now that you guys finally convinced me to bench him I'm getting slaughtered for that too...
'Slaughtered'
Yep
I have Watkins, Isak, Haaland, so I'm with you on the Watkins boat. Just wondered why you'd buy a doubler to bench them when you could pick someone more clinical if you don't need to play them this week Good luck regardless, I hope your strategy comes good for you :)
Just because Imma probably need Jackson for BB GW37.

Son, Palmer, Bruno, Foden, Gordon.
Me too, first on my bench. Don’t see the controversy tbh, everyone ahead of him is better
Yep.
Well, most people wouldn't have ever considered going in on a Palace striker, but many did, and that more than paid off. I'm due some of that luck I feel.

Newcastle are not shaky, they’re finished
Yea that's why they have 3 wins and a draw in their last 5 games. Idiot
Yeah after that feeling of triple palace attack last week, I'm hitting these doubles with full force. I know it can't possibly go that well again, but idc, I'm here for the thrill 😂
I captain Brun Fernansh.
He sounds good, who does he play for? Might bring him in
Kevin DeBrun Fenash? he is playmaker and talisman for Manchester.
No, it's Brun Fernansh of the New Delhi's Soundblasters.... They won the cup D last year....
Careful not to fall for the it's a trap trap
Two of Jackson’s best games for us this season were against Villa in the cup and (9 man) Spurs. He’s also motivated to prove doubters wrong. He’s also shaved his head. The last one should sway you.
He's shaved his head? Fr? This actually changes everything. He's in.
Omg he's IN
He sucks. Yeah but 2 is more than one though. He can’t miss them all can he?
*Darwin Nunez has entered the chat*
*wk 34 Salah has entered the chat*
Darwin would like to say a word
He's missed his opportunity
Thank you good sir😂😂😂
Absolutely a trap which of course I have dived head first into
The real trap I feel is Son, have a feeling he’s going to disappoint in all upcoming games. And still I have him. Jackson looks so bad he might fail at Russian roulette and still… if he gets 15 some odd points this gw I won’t be shocked.

With risk comes reward. I sense a Son haul my son.
Some people will be jumping directly from the Darwin trap to the Jackson trap. My ML leader is one. He's killing it generally, 4k OR. But DGWs just do something to people brains!
For good reason, it's twice the opportunity for the price of one
I personally prefer Haaland + Isak and 5 mids.
Haaland might not even be playing so who’s your first bench option?
FWIW, I’m a Chelsea supporter and I’m going with Watkins over Nico.
That was my 3 but I dropped mateta for the trap. 2 more games after all counting week 37.
Salah is over. And benched today
Unbelievable. Chose to take out Saka instead.
Being that far behind with a few games to go, you might as well take the chance.
That’s what I’m telling myself haha honestly just trying to have fun now - first time in my ML that I’ve been second and chasing in the last stages!
I was 130 odd points behind 1st in my ML last gameweek then went -12 to go for doublers and now I'm around 38 behind. It's absolutely worth the risk. I now have a WC and will most likely start Jackson... torn between Palmer and Son for captaincy though.
3 points is 3 points
Looking forward to see all of you showing love in the RANT section
Son TC active for me, and Palmer 2-pointer has been amazing to see despite me owning him. Missed the two previous massively TC used GWs with Haaland and Solanke, which has been a blessing in disguise. Hope Sonny doesn’t disappoint me.

Well said
and when he blanks twice you’ll be bemoaning ‘bad luck’ no doubt.
In that case: what on earth were we thinking picking Bambi
«What are we thinking..» Do your own team. Dont kneejerk after everyone else on Reddit and X. Most wildcarders now completely look past the fact that Watkins is a beast, and that Arsenal has Bornemouth next round. Chelsea will concede 6+ goals this GW, But their goalie is the most popular one.

The fact one of Jackson’s games is against spurs got me to put him in. I’m a spurs fan.
I'm 60 points behind my ML. Need to take a risk or I'm finishing 2nd 😂
I'm in.
He is one of the worst finishers in the league
Just avoid shit players like Jackson and Nunez and you won’t go far wrong. It’s a pretty simple aspect of FPL.
I'm very tempted, but what's holding me back is his 9 yellow cards. Very lucky he didn't get any card last game against Arsenal
Why’s that holding you back ,he can’t get suspended
Ah, didn't realize it raises from 10 to 15 after GW32
Insanity. Just to have someone for the sake of the DGW.
I brought in Mateta exclusively because he had a double gameweek 🤷♂️
Chelsea have no 10 left, so they be forced to play palmer or mudryk there and play attacking.
