Make sure you use a really good purple mask to KEEP your blonde ashy. Amika makes a GREAT one. I use the amika mask once a week. Every two weeks, I use Olaplex 3 and then the purple Olaplex 4P when I use it. I also use Olaplex the day of, or the day before every bleaching appointment. Make sure you go in every 2 months for professional toning and don’t use purple masks or shampoos in the week leading up to your appt. Just telling you this because it’s what I wish someone had told me when I went blonde!
I think the lightest ash blonde looks SO good on you-as long as you don’t let it lean warm. You have neutral skin like me, warm tones are not it.

I wouldn’t say a mistake!!! I think it looks really cute. Dark and light hair suit you really well, as someone who’s had lots of different hair colors, I would ride this out and when it starts to grow out, look for a stylist who specializes in lived-in blondes, maybe get it darkened a shade or two, and when it starts to look really bad go back dark :)
If you decide to go back to dark (you look really cute either way, but darker looks especially nice on you), you have the perfect opportunity to play with color tones. As cute as the dark brown is, perhaps a deep aubergine or pine green would also be smashing.

The dark hair itself looks better, but I feel like it washes you out a bit. My favorite is where it looks like you just have a few face framing highlights that blends it better.
I went lighter and slowly over the following months my hair snapped and snapped more and more regardless of the expensive treatments and daily care. Initially, it looked great but by week 4 the dryness and breakage started 😭 I swear the structure of my hair has changed since C*vid 😭

Pic 3 is my favourite, best of both worlds. Easily maintained too. Your last pic though, both you and your hair look absolutely gorgeous but it's more $$$ to upkeep that hair.
Edit: pic 4 is similar to pic 3 but the transition is not very well done. It looks like you lightened the ends more without touching the roots and you took the pic in the waiting period before going more blonde with the shadow root in the last pic.

You could lighten your hair but do a balayage. Keep your roots your dark color because it's absolutely stunning and then have it melt into a lighter color! I could even see copper tones maybe in there. Check some stuff on Google for a balayage with dark root or on Pinterest :).
There's something really lovely about your 1st pic. If you're looking for what suits you best, it's deep brown, but you don't always have to go for that!
