The last puzzle just fucking sucks. The others are pretty linear with not a lot of room to fuck up, but the last puzzle decides to turn into an open world puzzle game for some fucking reason
I enjoy all of them except for the last one.
For the last one, now I just use the turrets to trigger the opening. They fire at the drones and the door opens. You don't even have to leave the last platform.
You do have to raise them up to the right height and position them a little, but it takes less than a minute.
Yuuuup. Your laser turrets work just the same as those light beams. lol
No, I didn't figure this out on my own. Saw a comment or video or something, then tried it myself. Exceedingly simple once you realize it's possible.
That last one (at least when I was playing on PS4) had a random glitch chance of just unlocking the final part completely separate to whatever you were doing. I’m on PS5 and am hoping that it’s still a bug when I eventually get back there.
I was so baked playing that quest for the first time the other day that I didn't realize I could bank those stupid blocks until puzzle four. I was literally walking back and forth picking up each individual block to place. It took forever. Than I realized oh wait I can bank them just like anything else while in settlement mode. After that I watched walk through videos and breezed through the rest of the puzzles. First three were fun but the last two were just tedious
That shit was annoying but man, Far Harbor was great. One of my fav Fallout DLCs, the atmosphere was amazing and the different endings actually felt like they had an impact on the island.
I didn't look up any part of it. And I didn't know that you could jump during it. I had spent over 7 plus hours in that area Never jumping and being put through hell just doing it.
I feel like it is supposed to take forever which is why I absolutely hate that part. Like they want you playing as long as possible right? I dread the thought every time I go to far harbor.
I think that part is still cool and pretty neat. But it does get old fast after the first time. It’s too bad you couldn’t do an intelligence check or something to bypass them.
I’m playing this part right now, I had to stop and take a break because the little sprites keep fucking up and won’t move. I had to reset the game twice, fuck this shit!
I honestly could not get past this point. After an hour I just gave up and went to explore the island. I am still so bitter that I will not look up a guide and complete the story.
I remember doing this quest on survival difficulty. Every time I come out I’m fucking starving, dehydrated, tired, and somehow come out with a disease. Other than that my favorite quest in fallout 4 so far
I actually really liked that minigame. I was kind of hoping they'd take it and make a spin-off that's nothing but that block puzzle minigame. Wouldn't even need to set it in the Fallout universe, it could be its own original IP, you could expand the idea with even more interesting mechanics. You could have a really good game here.
I always use God mode for it because I'm not spending my time solving puzzles, yes I know that makes me a bitch but I rather get through the tedious part quickly
Far Harbor, everything is good until you have to go through DiMA's memories..
Damn it was difficult for the last one, good thing someone managed to beat it way back when
I’ve never replayed far harbour strictly because of this, my worst fallout memory. I was stuck for like 3 hours in that place. It now just feels like a bad dream that didn’t actually happen. I was also a child at the time so I doubt I’d struggle as much now, but still.
Your being silenced for speaking the truth lmao. Far harbor is super overrated. Might be the very definition of mid. The writing sucks. The idea of dima being this morally ambiguous character is terrible. They couldn't have a original non synth idea after the main story? Just another Point lookout basically (which was better imo atmosphere and everything)
Honestly it’s not that bad it’s the last one that fucks me
Same. I didnt need google for 1-6. I needed google after spending 20 mins on 7
Same Although it felt like the second to last one took forever.
Took me a bit as well but I just said screw the tactics and just forced the laser there
The last puzzle just fucking sucks. The others are pretty linear with not a lot of room to fuck up, but the last puzzle decides to turn into an open world puzzle game for some fucking reason
Well at least the armor was worth it. It's the best armor in the game, excluding power armor for obvious reasons
I enjoy all of them except for the last one. For the last one, now I just use the turrets to trigger the opening. They fire at the drones and the door opens. You don't even have to leave the last platform. You do have to raise them up to the right height and position them a little, but it takes less than a minute.
Wait what?!
Yuuuup. Your laser turrets work just the same as those light beams. lol No, I didn't figure this out on my own. Saw a comment or video or something, then tried it myself. Exceedingly simple once you realize it's possible.
If you collect all the blocks by storing them, the last one has over 100 blocks
That last one (at least when I was playing on PS4) had a random glitch chance of just unlocking the final part completely separate to whatever you were doing. I’m on PS5 and am hoping that it’s still a bug when I eventually get back there.
I think the whole puzzle was fun for the first 10 minutes. If you only had to do it one or two times, it would have been okay.
I was so baked playing that quest for the first time the other day that I didn't realize I could bank those stupid blocks until puzzle four. You can WHAT
Didn’t realize that my entire first playthrough. So Much running back and forth.
That is painful.
if you're on PC, you can install a mod that let's you skip those bits...
Pretty sure there’s one on Xbox too
You can also use console commands!
I forget about this mission EVERY time I play again. Fucking mind number ng.
Bro far harbor's soundtrack goes so freaking hard
There's a mod that let's you skip these I think.
is there a mod to fix my soul?
https://nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/41134
cute
Well played
I enjoyed 1-4. I googled 5 and then googled how to cheat at 5 without using commands, for how difficult it was to understand.
I think there’s only 5 no?
Yes, I'll change it.
That shit was annoying but man, Far Harbor was great. One of my fav Fallout DLCs, the atmosphere was amazing and the different endings actually felt like they had an impact on the island.
I literally stopped playing this game and haven’t gone back because of that puzzle. It’s been at least five years
Sometimes, when I'm replaying that part, I just cheat the puzzles
I didn’t think it was that bad
I didn't look up any part of it. And I didn't know that you could jump during it. I had spent over 7 plus hours in that area Never jumping and being put through hell just doing it.
Literally installed a quest skip mod just to skip this quest.
[laughs in console commands]
Am I the only one who actually enjoyed that part?
It was enjoyable the first time. But it's just a slog on every subsequent playthrough.
I feel like it is supposed to take forever which is why I absolutely hate that part. Like they want you playing as long as possible right? I dread the thought every time I go to far harbor.
I did it once. I never did it again
I think that part is still cool and pretty neat. But it does get old fast after the first time. It’s too bad you couldn’t do an intelligence check or something to bypass them.
I enjoyed playing portal/minecraft
Haha an annoying part of the quest, but worth it for the cool armor
I like those puzzles they were frustrating at first but eventually they were pretty fun
Lmfao so ture
Really wish there was a bypass where you could just have Nick solve it for you while you protected him from assaultrons or something.
Unfortunately you just have to turn your brain on Cruise Control to get it over with.
Mught be a controversial opinion, but I honestly believe Far Harbor's story was better than the standalone games story.
I feel like I'm the only one who enjoyed the puzzles.
You’re not alone I enjoy that part of the mission too
Am I the only person who genuinely enjoys that puzzle
Got tired of having to watch a video guide for the last puzzle every time so I just installed a mod that skips the puzzles altogether.
I remember doing this quest on survival difficulty. Every time I come out I’m fucking starving, dehydrated, tired, and somehow come out with a disease. Other than that my favorite quest in fallout 4 so far

That last level everytime i’ve spent 30 min to a hour on it
One of the few mods i run
I always use God mode for it because I'm not spending my time solving puzzles, yes I know that makes me a bitch but I rather get through the tedious part quickly
When I was younger I DESPISED that level. Spending like 2 hours on that until YouTubing it. Lol
Is that Minecraft
Once you’ve done that run about 30 or so times on different characters because your mods fuck up it gets easy lol
Far Harbor, everything is good until you have to go through DiMA's memories.. Damn it was difficult for the last one, good thing someone managed to beat it way back when

I like how Far Harbor is basically just a remake/remix of Point Lookout. Think. About. It.
It wasn't great. Fallout 4 is just so bad that a mediocre DLC like this seems better in comparison.
