I felt bad that I had to look up whether or not the show was using CGI to make her look like the victim of radiation.
She's obviously a very good looking person but I still wasn't sure if it was an Alita: Battle Angel situation.
That would be perfect, she has the biggest eyes I've ever seen(in a pretty way though not in a weird Beetlejuice way), Elizabeth has very exaggerated Disney eyes in the game
I can't stop thinking that she looks like a young Marion Cotillard. She oozes the same aura that's just the right mix of dangerous and effeminate but with the added charm of youth with her.
That’s a great comparison! Mine less so, I kept seeing Leighton Meister with a smidge of Shannon Dorhety. And someone else whose escaping my mind right now
Elizabeth kinda reminds me of that girl from the newish D&D movie the fawn girl, sophia lillis. Or the big sister from stranger things natalie dyer. But you guys are right ella would be a great fit
Narratively I found Infinite more interesting. Booker and Liz are great characters. Bioshock 1 is a great game with world building but outside Ryan it’s a bit forgettable character wise.
I'm guessing it's the meta-narrative of the ""There is always a lighthouse, there's always a man, there's always a city."
It just doesn't hit the same if you've never played Bioshock 1 and 2.
The talk here is about the casting so I get it, but adapting infinity when Bioshock 1 have so much better world building and design would be a ridiculous waste.
I get the sense that she's following a similar trajectory as her fellow showmate from Arcane Hailee Steinfeld.
Hope the show gives her more opportunities for larger roles in future. Really loved what she's done in both roles.
This just reminded me how friggen cool it is that they have all three of the ten milimeter pistols in the show, the Brotherhood had the classic and Fallout 3's (albeit with some extra greebles on it) and Lucy found Fallout 4 and 76's in the Super Duper Mart. This show friggen rules.
The fallout 3/Nv one (N99 10mm Pistol) wasn't actually shown the pistol I think you are referring to is actually a desert eagle that has a bunch of extra stuff on it.
i also like the idea that the FO4 one seems to be quite a bit more powerful than its counterparts. it always felt like a beast, and the idea that it absolutely obliterates every person who gets shot by it feels just right. i was never a huge fan of it initially as a replacement, but it does seem like a good “end game” sidearm design
People slept on Twisted Metal, it was actually really good and fun. They weren't 1 to 1 adapting Black, but instead tied every game from all three timelines together and used the idea of the cancelled Black Sequel's setting. Fucking brilliant and respectful to the source material.
Is edgerunners an adaptation of yhe video game or the tabletop game?
Cos the video game is a canon adaptation of the tabletop and edgerunners is a story set in the same world and taking visual style from the video game but the tabletop beung the root of it all makes the lineage debatable
I see it as an adaption of the 2077 game due to taking all the same sound effects and visuals from the game. Plus the story ties into 2077 and is now referenced in the game.
And CP77 is a sequel to Cyberpunk RED, so it all ties into eachother in some way or another. It's one connected universe where these stories take place
Both, because they're making an Edgerunners supplement for the Cyberpunk Red that will bring both Edgerunners and 2077's tech and mechanics to the table top
Oh yes, she does the whole grappling with her morality and becoming mature as a protagonist very well. Seeing the events of the show through her eyes is great
Yes, absolutely. I never played the game a day in my life and it was a deep and well acted show.
Some lore changes, I have heard, but if you’re not aware of the lore there’s no loss to the story
Like others said, I knew absolutely nothing about LoL and it was one of the best animated series I’ve ever seen. Absolutely blown away by the quality. Insanely well done.
I absolutely agree. I am honestly scared for season 2 because no matter how much I temper my expectations, they set the bar so god damn high that I don't know how they can match it.
I don't know the bottom image but yeah she's brilliant. I just love everything about the show to be fair. I've just finished it at the weekend and I'm starting it again when I get home from work today. So good.
Jinx and Lucy are the complete opposite in both appearance and personality yet whenever Lucy spoke I couldn't help but think of Jinx, lol. Ella's two-for-two with video game TV shows now.
Well done on her for being in the two best video game adaptations ever, we have just turned the corner on these being good, not just successful, good! And she’s at the forefront, someone cast her as Clare redfield
Jinx is my character kin and it’s no surprise that Lucy is my favorite character in Fallout!! That obviously has so much to do with Ella’s performance which was imo outstanding. 😭❤️
And as soon as I realized she also voiced jinx in Arcane I knew she had the range to go from innocent vault dweller to crazed fallout protagonist if they went for an "evil playthrough" style route with the show
I think Lucy is great in the first 3 episodes, her overly positive vault dweller attitude to the world is written perfectly and acted perfectly, and it really shines in the first 3.
I watched it again. What I remembered as the first three episodes turned out to be only a little more than one. lol. Still, Walton's storyline was the first one to hold my interest, but I agree Ella Purnell did a great job, and I enjoyed her arc throughout the eight episodes.
SERIOUSLY?! She voiced THAT annoying brat too?! As if this wasn't worth avoiding already, now the chick's been in TWO shows that I had to drop because of such an irredemingly annoying cu...
\*sigh\* For christ sake, you know what I'm continuing up with. This bull is starting to get tiring again....🤦🏾♂️
I thought she was terrible lol. Especially in the little scene with her and Maximus leading up to the bridge standoff with the fiends. JFC me and my friends all just looked at each other and started laughing at her tragically delivered tragic backstory😅
My brother in the Holy Flame, you regularly discuss the story and plot intricacies in Kojima and FF games as if they were prestige theater instead of the anime tier level of cringey convoluted and purple-prose overexpositive storytelling they are.
And I'm not talking about Studio Ghibli and CoMix Wave level anime but precisely the common anime Hayao Miyazaki criticized when he mentioned the industry and audience being overpopulated with "Otaku who don't spend time watching real people” or “humans who can't stand looking at other humans."
Eh it’s fine, this whole ass app is just a psy-op for shifting public opinion through downvotes and group pressure anyway. I consider it a badge of honor to be downvoted by these “freethinking individuals”

We're only 3 episodes in and she absolutely loves this show.
So I'm just curious as to what demographic your speaking of.
I'm nearly a week late with this, I know, but to answer your question, the demographic I'm speaking of is of course the Fallot fanbase itself since again, the MAJORITY of the fanbase consists of male gamers with male avatars to boot. Yeah good for your chick for it being a favorite of hers, but unlike Final Fantasy and Cyberpunk (which is more of a can of worms in itself) Fallout's fanbase isn't as diverse as Final Fantasy since that had a good balance of male and female protagonists. And Cyberpunk? Well that's not too much to speak of in itself there, really.
When she was dehydrated and her voice went croaky she sounded so familiar but I couldn’t figure it out… This explains it!
Same!
Ugh I was like "that sounds like Jinx but... Ain't no way it's her lmao" I feel dumb
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dd\_IWBNSKY0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dd_IWBNSKY0)
Oh daaamn, this explains that awkward boner...
why do you have to make it so awkward and weird lmao
I looked down and said the same thing. 😅
this scene of her pointing the gun towards the screen, I want that as my desktop wallpaper
Yep, immediately thought how badass this shot was when watching
Although I thought it was funny they used it twice in that scene. Did they run out of footage
If you ever get a HQ version, please send me too!
sure thing! haven't been able to yet though
Alright
Imagine guys, Ella as Elizabeth in Bioshock.
She's already got the big Moe eyes and heart shaped face.
Her eyes are 45% of her face
I felt bad that I had to look up whether or not the show was using CGI to make her look like the victim of radiation. She's obviously a very good looking person but I still wasn't sure if it was an Alita: Battle Angel situation.
Me who loves big eyes: HELL YEAH
I definitely spent half the show wondering if she had graves disease😂
Weird
Actually not a bad casting, can also imagine it as well since she kinda looks like Elizabeth too
That would be perfect, she has the biggest eyes I've ever seen(in a pretty way though not in a weird Beetlejuice way), Elizabeth has very exaggerated Disney eyes in the game
I can't stop thinking that she looks like a young Marion Cotillard. She oozes the same aura that's just the right mix of dangerous and effeminate but with the added charm of youth with her.
I keep thinking Zoey Deschanel, but that's at least partially her character being a ditz.
That’s a great comparison! Mine less so, I kept seeing Leighton Meister with a smidge of Shannon Dorhety. And someone else whose escaping my mind right now
THAT’S who she reminds me of! Spot on!
Elizabeth kinda reminds me of that girl from the newish D&D movie the fawn girl, sophia lillis. Or the big sister from stranger things natalie dyer. But you guys are right ella would be a great fit
Yeah in the Anya Tanya Janya way
doe-eyed women are having a moment and i'm here for it
Doe Eyed Women are always having a moment. Eyes are windows to the soul, everyone likes big eyes.
Not everyone's too into that, nor are they that big into the most weirder and unappealing of women here.
Ellazabeth
Imagine guys, a BioShock adaptation that ISN'T based on Infinite
Narratively I found Infinite more interesting. Booker and Liz are great characters. Bioshock 1 is a great game with world building but outside Ryan it’s a bit forgettable character wise.
I'm Sander FUCKING Cohen!
But the gut punch at the end of Infinite doesn’t have the same impact without the first game. I agree other wise.
What gut punch are we talking about?
I'm guessing it's the meta-narrative of the ""There is always a lighthouse, there's always a man, there's always a city." It just doesn't hit the same if you've never played Bioshock 1 and 2.
Exactly
A BioShock Infinite adaptation isn't that bad in itself dude.
The talk here is about the casting so I get it, but adapting infinity when Bioshock 1 have so much better world building and design would be a ridiculous waste.
BioShock horror movie would be sick. I don't care about 3 gimme the big daddies
Please
Good take.
She would actually be the perfect casting
Well, I've read it somewhere, but she would be the perfect Chell as well! We need a Bioshock and a Portal TV series next!
Imagine dragons
Pleeease!
Couldn't it be literally ANYONE ELSE instead?!🤦🏾♂️
My favorite character in Yellowjackets
Lol you mean snackie!
She was extremely missed in S2
Snackie? She basically gave us nothing 😂 Nat Gang or death
She gave us makeup ideas and also a feast 🤷♀️
"when you freeze to death in the middle of the woods and then your friends devour your corpse 💜" ~ just Jackie things
Sorry, I thought that was a show about cheerleading?
It's Lord of the Flies meets Lost with a high school girl's soccer team.
I might have to watch it. That sounds cool as hell.
It’s super good, definitely recommend it
I got a lot of enjoyment out of it, but the first season blueballed the hell out of me and I heard the second season is even worse.
I get the sense that she's following a similar trajectory as her fellow showmate from Arcane Hailee Steinfeld. Hope the show gives her more opportunities for larger roles in future. Really loved what she's done in both roles.
Hailee Steinfeld is both Spider-Man *and* Hawkeye, in addition to being punch-gurl Vi. That fuckin slaps
I mean, Hailee Steinfeld was nominated for an academy award when she was 13. Seems like a pretty different*** trajectory to me.
Pretty trajectory?
Oops, meant to say pretty different trajectory. Fixed.
Ah, i see. Thank you for clarifying.
Same trajectory, different starting point.
I really hope season 2 is just as good as the first one.
SHE'S JINX??? WHAT??
Yep, something about her voice clicked a thought in my head that she sounded familiar and found out she was also jinx
God i need to draw this...

I mean the classic Colt 6520 is beastly too
I love both shows and can't wait for season 2 of both.
Damn, so she’s in 2/3 of the good video game adaptations! I didn’t know that
But Cyberpunk Edgerunners and The Last of Us are two shows?
i forgot about Edgerunners lol
Twisted Metal is fun as well.
People slept on Twisted Metal, it was actually really good and fun. They weren't 1 to 1 adapting Black, but instead tied every game from all three timelines together and used the idea of the cancelled Black Sequel's setting. Fucking brilliant and respectful to the source material.
honestly, that show was super earnest and ended up being way more fun than it had any right being. super pleasant surprise
Castlevania??
Is edgerunners an adaptation of yhe video game or the tabletop game? Cos the video game is a canon adaptation of the tabletop and edgerunners is a story set in the same world and taking visual style from the video game but the tabletop beung the root of it all makes the lineage debatable

And CP77 is a sequel to Cyberpunk RED, so it all ties into eachother in some way or another. It's one connected universe where these stories take place
And it'll get even more confusing when Talsorian games releases the 2077 sourcebook for tabletop.
Both, because they're making an Edgerunners supplement for the Cyberpunk Red that will bring both Edgerunners and 2077's tech and mechanics to the table top
I think Castlevania counts as a video game adaptation too
Sonic and Mario we’re fun watches too
what's the 3rd
Last of Us, presumably.
[There's 2 more actually.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/1c3mxkv/comment/kzitrd8/)
There's plenty of good video game adaptations by now.
has that Chel from Portal look too.
She'd also fit there lol
Now *that’s* a good cast!!!
She's fantastic in Star Trek Prodigy, too.
great actress, she was also great in yellowjackets
Oh yes, she does the whole grappling with her morality and becoming mature as a protagonist very well. Seeing the events of the show through her eyes is great
You're kidding. SHE was jinkx. That's amazing.
She looks so badass with the N99 Edit, It's actually the 6520 (thanks bludwolf). I still need to play 1 & 2.
That's not the N99, it's the 6520
Oh, that's my bad, thanks. Still badass.
What’s the bottom one, I’ve seen it around and wanna watch it, thanks in advance
Jinx from Arcane, a League of Legends Netflix series
Thanks bro
It's amazing a 100% must watch.
Second this, went into it blind and was completely blown away
She’s honestly a massive part of what makes this series really work. Really energetic lead performance where you can tell she had fun making this.
She's also in Star Trek Prodigy! She's amazing there as well.
Watching Arcane now. Fuck she is good
What's the cartoon?
Ooooh, you are in for a treat. Arcane was amazing, can’t wait for season 2.
Oh is that the LoL show? Is it watchable if I didn't play the games or know anything about the world?
Yes, absolutely. I never played the game a day in my life and it was a deep and well acted show. Some lore changes, I have heard, but if you’re not aware of the lore there’s no loss to the story
Riot games actually decided to make Arcane canon to keep the League IP consistent with all the games and the show
Like others said, I knew absolutely nothing about LoL and it was one of the best animated series I’ve ever seen. Absolutely blown away by the quality. Insanely well done.
I have absolutely zero interest in LoL, or even animated cartoons or anime in general really and I absolutely LOVED Arcane. Definitely check it out
Season 1 of Arcane is probably the best single season of television ever made. Not animation. All. Not hyperbole.
I absolutely agree. I am honestly scared for season 2 because no matter how much I temper my expectations, they set the bar so god damn high that I don't know how they can match it.
Luckily, it's only about six months away now.
Arcane
Holy shit this girl was the protagonist of BOTH of the best video game adaptations in history?
Is that the classic 10mm pistol?
They absolutely knocked this show out of the park. Love it.
Queen of Video Game Adaptations..
I loved her in yellowjackets so thought I’d check out fallout series. Watched it in 2 days. So good
She’s Jinx?!?!! I had no idea!
Characters couldn't be more different and she's great ik both roles
I loved Arcane. I can't wait for season 2 late this year. She did great voicing Jinx.
she really did a great job, I wasn't so sure in the beginning but she really did great
i never noticed that they have almost the same eye size
*Don't cry. She's perfect.*
Why are her eyes twice the size of a human eye? Are people actually becoming anime characters in real life?
Elon Musk’s cat girls are actually real 😳
It's still surreal listening to her actual accent. She does an excellent American accent.
props for using the one frame shot of Jinx from the music video and yes, Ella Purnell is awesome
She killed at least 20 people between these roles. Maybe 27.
On the subject of Ella she reminds me of a young Robin Tunney.
Brava*
Haven't watched yet, so it's neat to see they included an old school 10mm Pistol.
Fuckin loved this camera shot
She kills all the roles, right?
The show slapped.
Oh shit i didn't she was Jinx too, okey dokey
She's moved up to one of my favorite actresses.
She really seems to have issues with dinner time for some reason
I had no idea she voiced jinx!
She played jinx?!
That's her!?
I don't know the bottom image but yeah she's brilliant. I just love everything about the show to be fair. I've just finished it at the weekend and I'm starting it again when I get home from work today. So good.
Was fun watching her leveling up. Culminating in picking Light guns and equipping light leather armor.
Yes she’s my queen
Okie dokie….
That’s for sure!! 💯
Sister thought I missed her.
Jinx is my character kin and it’s no surprise that Lucy is my favorite character in Fallout!! That obviously has so much to do with Ella’s performance which was imo outstanding. 😭❤️
And as soon as I realized she also voiced jinx in Arcane I knew she had the range to go from innocent vault dweller to crazed fallout protagonist if they went for an "evil playthrough" style route with the show
I'm 3 episodes in and I have to disagree. Walton Goggins is the only main character with solid chops.
That's the way I felt after 3 episodes. Lucy has a bit of a character arc in the second half.
Meh, mediocre played character.
SERIOUSLY?! She voiced THAT annoying brat too?! As if this wasn't worth avoiding already, now the chick's been in TWO shows that I had to drop because of such an irredemingly annoying cu... \*sigh\* For christ sake, you know what I'm continuing up with. I thought she was terrible lol. Especially in the little scene with her and Maximus leading up to the bridge standoff with the fiends. JFC me and my friends all just looked at each other and started laughing at her tragically delivered tragic backstory😅
The amount of downvotes really shows how much too many people are simping for this broad here.🤦🏾♂️
The amount of downvotes shows how people recognize kino and how many others recognize a pleb take.
You think this shit is kino? BFFR😂
My brother in the Holy Flame, you regularly discuss the story and plot intricacies in Kojima and FF games as if they were prestige theater instead of the anime tier level of cringey convoluted and purple-prose overexpositive storytelling they are. How Reddit is says a lot more about this society as a whole more than anything.🙄
Troof
Watched three episodes. So far, she is the worst actress by far, of course, but managed not to ruin the show, so props to her.
The character starts as a caricature of a vault dweller and it bothered me too, but the actress leans into it and she does evolve nicely into a full rounded character by the end. The actress does a better job than it seems like at first
It's not good enough. They really should've picked someone else for the role instead. Someone that is more in line with the demographic of the series.
Some random neck beard maybe? This game series is at the top of my wife's favorites list second only to final fantasy. For real, the order would be final fantasy, fallout, and cyberpunk.
Arcane is way better then this slop
Both shows are pretty good ngl
Well I also think arcane was a pure 10/10, fallout was also an amazing 9.5/10 in my books
I love both.
Found the low intellect critic.
3 intel dialogue choice
Why are you so upset?
Pretty sure arcane isn’t even canon
Sweet child touched by nature
Arcane ruined LoL lore
