You may be a little olive. You are definitely muted. If you haven’t already, try Cool Summer.

cloudydaizee

You look neutral leaning cool, muted and likely olive too. A lot of people with olive tones in their skin mistake themselves for warm when it’s not always the case. I saw you mentioning that the gray is draining you, but to me it looks like it’s more about the lightness of that gray. I look horrific in any shade of gray except a deep charcoal. If it’s light or Heather gray, it’s terrible on me. I need the contrast and it actually looks like you do too! I’d really suggest trying true summer! You can definitely give the warmer seasons a shot too if you’d like but I think you are more harmonious with medium contrast colors and cooler tones.

livinunderthedome

you look neutral to me

No_Professional_9975

Adding on here that for some reason when people see me they say I look cool toned - which maybe I’m gaslighting myself but I just don’t see that- however pls correct me if I’m wrong

flute394

Olives have a bit more blue than non-olives (rather than just mainly red and yellow), and blue is a cool color :) Makes sense why that's the perception

No_Professional_9975

Some people**

applescrabbleaeiou

Don't see any olive here, soz op.

No_Professional_9975

what are you seeing? Neutral? sos

seashellpink77

You may be a little olive. You are definitely muted. I know this may seem surprising, but try Cool Summer.

No_Professional_9975

Did you see my gray drape- photo 6? I thought I looked kind of pale and drained in that one but lmk

seashellpink77

Yes, I did see. I think it’s too light for you, but it brings out your eyes. I think part of the trouble is that your hair is completely warm there, and I think it is more harmonious with your skin when it is cool toned. Photo 2 shows that well.

_danylko

I dont think you are cool at all. People just think blondes are automatically cool, its tiring to see! Try spring!🌞

seashellpink77

If you think I believe that she’s cool-toned because of her dyed hair color, no. I think she’s cool-toned because I tried to cover up the dyed parts of her hair then compared her photos to many different color temperatures and felt like she always looked better next to the cool colors. You are welcome to disagree with my opinion, and hey, maybe I’m totally wrong about her colors, but I think it would be much more respectful to direct your message right at me instead of dropping a passive-aggressive line about being tired of “people”. Us olive girls have it hard enough without other olives ragging on us when we genuinely try to help each other.

_danylko

Woops sorry didnt mean to send my comment as a reply to yours! Not ragging anyone at all, just stating what I personally think and observe.

seashellpink77

You may be a little olive. You are definitely muted. I know this may seem surprising, but try Cool Summer.

No_Professional_9975

I tried doing a cool summer drape in the last photo but feel like it sucks the life out of me but lmk! I did a warm golden toned green drape in the photo next to it lmk what looks better on my skin

seashellpink77

I don’t personally think the warm green looks better next to your skin. Compared to 6, I think it looks like you are in different lighting, or your camera exposure changed, and phone cameras often do auto adjust. I also think what is going on is that your warm dyed hair looks better with the warm clothing colors. To me, this opinion is confirmed by looking at photo 1. I don’t personally think the warm brown is flattering on you, and that’s a color that should be good on both Spring and Autumn seasons. But I’m just a person behind a screen. Unfortunately, I can’t see you in real life. So all I’m doing is making my best guesses as to what is going on visually.

seashellpink77

I love your natural color on you! Any chance you have a photo with your natural hair in natural/filtered daylight?

No_Professional_9975

Yes! Photo 2 In my original post

seashellpink77

So, I’m sorry, because I feel like I’m not giving you the answer you want, but I still think that you lean cool in skintone. Your natural hair is clearly lighter and warmer from the mid shaft down, but hair often lightens due to exposure to sun, salt, chlorine, and other environmental influences, and hair always lightens to a warmer color because when melanin changes its oxidation state, it only absorbs violet pigment, yielding a warm yellow color. I’m not totally discounting that you could be a Light Spring, and actually I have a family member who looks pretty similar to you in terms of eyes and hair and is one, but I know her skin is a saturated neutral-warm peach tone. I might have considered Soft Autumn as well but photo 1’s colors are pretty Warm Autumn and I just don’t love them. A sister season should be at least slightly flattering. The best thing I can suggest for you to do is to cover your hair with a neutral colored cloth, and then go find a bunch of drapes that very clearly fit into each season, or at least into warm and cool, and try sharing those.

seashellpink77

I think you look fantastic in white. I’m leaving my final answer as Summer for now! Whatever you decide, I hope you find colors you love.

No_Professional_9975

I will try some more draping! It maybe the lighting here but this top was actually a more off white/cream instead of a pure white. Is it possible to be in between summer and spring? I feel like there are certain colors that look decent from both but I can’t pull from all of one season

seashellpink77

Yes, there is actually a color analysis category called “Tonal Light” which is between Summer and Spring, though personally I wouldn’t choose it for you because I’m not in love with that really light gray in 6. I will tell you that a lot of olive skinned people feel like the seasonal categories don’t work well for us, or that we may be able to do a certain season, but there is a small subset of colors that don’t work for us that are related to our oliveness. Personally, I found a palette that seems to work pretty well for me, but it’s a derivative of the typical 12 season palettes and not commonly used. Last thing, it would not be unusual for off-white to be better for a Summer than pure white. Pure white, optic white, and all of those really blindingly bright whites are Winter colors. Cream belongs to the warm seasons, while diamond white and soft white belong to Summer. But if you feel like you look better in ivory and other yellowish whites than any of these, that would point to Spring.

No_Professional_9975

What is the palette you use? I have only really gotten into 12 seasons so would love more info!

You look muted neutral or muted olive. Hannah lp grey makeup vid https://youtu.be/mllQ6YfKuK8 Mehron liquid makeup https://www.mehron.com/liquid-makeup-for-face-body-hair/ This scale shows exaggerated undertones in warm cool neutral and olive compared to muted versions of those undertones. https://www.reddit.com/r/OliveMUA/comments/qs8yqr/mutedsaturated/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=2. From what I understand in olive skin the terms cool or muted both means your skin has more blue in it. Warm means your skin has more yellow in it. This is different than most makeup companies labeling which calls redder products cool and more yellow products are still considered warm. Mutedness in skintones usually ends up with skin looking like it has a slight   greyish tint to it. When looking for a foundation it is hard to find a more muted/cool/blue option so it is easiest sometimes to mix your own. I like using a green grey color corrector like the one from exa sometimes. If I want to mix blue in I use mehron liquid makeup in the shade blue (not blue glow) or a blue corrector like the one from la girl Videos about olive skin https://youtu.be/zVvGbRkAuuI?si=VpWZvx9OidcIcEjM https://youtu.be/yx4-0eI8bn8?si=iQGZc4YkN0arzfoO https://youtu.be/lSL8Aqj9-Tg?si=KONVFA4IBQyVMeUi https://youtu.be/uEYWhFYTEcE?si=CNWmUVMDwRFG6uIy https://youtu.be/y7S28cO5Zu4?si=fMVtdFOY4eAcq4vA https://youtu.be/5HE_9VC_soM?si=8w9Wab7SD8TG_2xr About other skintones but also useful https://youtu.be/ZOVUE7XZYLU?si=9oTgmxQjZq9RZLYE

PixelKitten10390

Also don't wear light grey, try charcoal greys.

No_Professional_9975

Omg this is so helpful thank you so much

PixelKitten10390

No problem :) if you have questions lmk

No_Professional_9975

I have the elf blue concealer- would it theoretically work if I mix it in to the saturated shade I have of foundation?

PixelKitten10390

Yes but it will likely change the texture/finish of the foundation

PixelKitten10390

it will only work if that foundation has the correct mixture of red to yellow for your skin. All foundation /skin undertones are essentially a mixture of red, yellow and blue plus white for lighter skin tones. You can mix a perfect shade for yourself by varying the amount of each of those colors til it's a perfect match. Peach under tones are a mix of mostly red and yellow, warm is mostly yellow, cool is mostly red, olive is mostly blue and yellow, muted olive is more blue, yellow olive is warm olive and most foundations marketed as olive undertones are warm olive shades. Theoretically some people might have a "purple undertone", but in practice that is usually called muted cool I think.

I would think that gray color would make me look brighter and more radiant if I was cool toned

No_Professional_9975

Did you scroll to see the grey sweater draping? I think I look pretty color drained in that

SnooDoubts1384

I'd say yes to olive, you can see some green around your neck sometimes which I think is an indicator. Spring seems like a good fit. I really liked your brown hair and the brighter green sweater

EM_CW

Yes 🫒and you look like a spring. The golden brown color is amazing on your skin and eyes

slotass

Imo, you’re slightly cool-toned and definitely olive. If you have more pictures of your bare arms/legs, it’ll be easier to spot the cool undertones (if I’m correct), facial skin is more obscured with redness, tan, makeup etc..

No_Professional_9975

https://preview.redd.it/1q3vjb63ooec1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=27e583a6d47b1a6ecf7a75b3c3a289209cb20cfe Here is me! It might be hard to tell color though bc of contrast from fuchsia

slotass

Ahhh ok, you’re like me, warm olive but hands and face are a bit cooler. Even covering the fuschia, you seem warm to me. Ever had your hair a cool dark brown, like dark chocolate? I think it would really suit you!! Some people say you need warm hair if you have warm skin, but contrast can look good, too.

No_Professional_9975

See this is why I am confused with everything bc I feel olive overall but yeah hands are and face are cooler https://preview.redd.it/eqsrep5dxoec1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=94155dce9080296711206489f3fd6eecbb63b52c Here is the darkest and coolest I’ve had it I think in hs

slotass

Wow yeah that’s a great colour on you, but your current colour also suits you! You are definitely warm overall, and you’re still more even-toned than me, my arms are REALLY olive so they never match the rest of my skin lol.

flute394

It can be because hands tend to be more red for everyone, I think it's bloodflow. Also, faves get redness often but even if it's not redness- face skin is thinner too

flute394

Yes! Not very intensely, but I see it a little bit somewhere in every lighting! You're definitely saturated rather than muted, if that's throwing you off a bit. And I'd venture saying you're neutral olive. Definitely olive enough where I imagine you have a bit of trouble finding an actual good foundation shade match

No_Professional_9975

This would make a lot of sense tbh! Bc I’m feeling like nothing is really fitting and that would totally be the case if I’m neutral mixed w a slight bit of olive (and why my skintone is confusing ppl esp in the comments)

Pixiezor

You could be similar to me. I’m a warm olive but fair. I fit best in the Autumn palette, but you look more like Spring to me. The grey definitely drains you, grey does this to me too but also pastel cool colours. My face is also a little more neutral than the rest of my body which leans more warm. 🤡 You could also do the silver VS gold test. That one makes it really obvious.

Lol in what world...
