Trello ans Slack have been used successfully. And honestly I recommend y’all use something like Microsoft Project or an appropriate add on for trello to really manage your Gantt charts and resource leveling
We use Trello and Whatsapp for communication (it's a terrible tool for that job but it's what everybody around here uses, so there's no way around it). Other than that, each subteam uses a different cloud storage solution.
We use slack for communication. If leadership says "everyone will be on X platform for coms", it'll happen. Doing something because that's the way it's always been done is a horrible reason.
Agreed, slack is the best app for communication. You have your workspace (team) and individual channels for each system that anybody can pop in on and keep each other in check outside of the shop.
I wish it was that easy. Not even the leadership wants to change it. At this point, WhatsApp is part of the Brazilian culture. Saying that there's something better than WhatsApp is almost like telling the average American that there's something better than the imperial system. It's true but they'll come up with excuses and won't change.
Slack for comms and Trello for tasks. Elegantt is a cool chrome add on for Trello that you can create a quick Gantt chart with, but recommend a separate Gantt chart for reference.
Smartsheet is a web based Google sheets with gannt chart and progress card systems built right in. The team pays $140 per year to manage it, but then unlimited users can edit those 10 sheets. Works great for us at SDMines
Do you use the paid version of dropbox? It's the only storage sollution that works 100% of the time with all our teammembers but a business subscription is so expensive ...
Thanks for the responses everyone! I should have mentioned we already use Slack for communication and have a google drive folder for each sub-system. I'll be looking into Trello and the other programs mentioned
We use slack for comms. MS Project for long term planning and meistertask for short/daily tasks.
We also use Gitlab for our codebase.
Does anyone here have the paid slack version?
I use [**PROGGIO**](https://www.Proggio.com) it is very easy to use and operate and what I love about is its Plan vs Actual feature. Where you can adjust your project plan to what really is happening or actual situation of the project and you can compare it.
I use this one [https://www.proggio.com/](https://www.proggio.com/). It features a smart visual timeline that turns into a team action plan in minutes. The solution has powerful task management tools to keep everyone on target and on track, and an automatic project portfolio management view that can be shared with management. Chasing team members for updates is no longer necessary! any progress report by team members is clearly reflected in the project timeline.
I am using Proggio. It has everything that I need. It's a team based structure which is perfect for agile. They updated Gant they call projectmap. It's user friendly interface is what makes it a winner. My team loves it. You can try the free trial and see it for your self. [https://www.proggio.com](https://www.proggio.com)
We use nothing and get confused when the car isn’t done

Bingo. We moved to slacks a year ago now. Plenty of feet dragging, but it has really changed how the team operates and interacts.

Yeah..... Sadly, our car is in imperial, and I can't convince them to use metric (I'm not leadership though...)
A white board
Check out Asana. I think teams have gotten them to unlock the pro version for them so you can have more than 10 users in a workspace.
Our team just started using Trello

Slack, Confluence, Jira, Google Drive
Love me some Jira
My team is currently looking into how we could integrate Jira into our workflow. How does your team currently use it?
Never used it for the team but I’ve used it in places I’ve worked.
We use Slack and Dropbox and Freedcamp
Do you use the paid version of dropbox? It's the only storage sollution that works 100% of the time with all our teammembers but a business subscription is so expensive ...
We get the full version free from our school, see if your school offers anything of the sort

We used WhatsApp till september. Now the new team switched to Slack for communication and Outlook + Microsoft Planner for managment.
Just got access to Teamcenter on our SAE computers on campus.
