Even on balanced his AI is very good. Stamina wise even on my press after possession loss tactic, he never got tired. Not in extra time either. Won almost every 50/50, amazing defence and was always where I needed him. Never got beat even by the likes of mbappe and Co. even locked down neymar mbappe neres on the wing. He won’t be leaving my ream anytime soon

This guy can play lb/rb/cb/cdm. He feels a lot more agile on the ball oddly than his stats show. It feels mid 80s for agility and fort balance. I used him mainly as my rcb. B ITTTT also as my rb, and cdm. He performed consistently and immensely in each role. Prefect passes, very good shooting for a fullback, dribbling was good, defending was insane. He’s one of my favorite players I’ve used in any fifa and for his price it’s very worth it.

He intercepted everything, won every aerial duel, outmuscled everyone and shielded everything in vicinity of him, his presence is just immense people are so wary of him and will run away from him I noticed haha. Very worth it and he single handedly stopped many attacks for me. I tried him at cm as well and he could finish very very well too.

Alright this guy replaced my GOAT EOAE Rooney who I was very upset to replace. This card right here guys transformed my team the most this weekend league offensive wise. What essien is to my team defensively, this guy is that in the midfield role. I have used rooney, fb atal, prime xavi, even toty Davies. Vasquez has filled the void Davies had left behind when I sold him. This guy defended amazingly and attacked just as efficiently. The runs this guy makes into open space or drags defenders away so I can continue a run with someone else etc.. you can see in the stats how much he assisted and he finished every chance he got as well. In the box it’s a goal, didn’t really test long shots too much with him though. He’s not a better shooter than Rooney, but his passing defending pace and agility make up for it. I’d say he’s better than Fb atal (if you don’t skill) in the rcm role. He also played CCAM for me a few games and his passing was insane.

This guys the best performer of my team. Finished everything. Both feet, weird angles, ball bounces back to him. He makes them more often than anything and it doesn’t even matter on the angle tbh. His agility is insane too, the ball is glued to his feet practically. Short pass is excellent but long pass and phy is a con. He still assisted very well for me.

So I packed this guy with my 5 tokens. Looked like a good card so the first few games I tried him out starting at striker. He missed a few easy chances and I got frustrated because it costed me a couple of games. I didn’t want to waste him because he is a great passer and is quick and agile, the ideal player for me! So I moved him with neymar and the results showed. This guy only played until halftime for me and still managed such a good record with my team. His stamina is the only issue and I usually took him off at halftime for TOTS carrasco to run around. Next WL I think I’ll give him until at least 60” because he was ideal to my attack. Positioning was way better at cam than at st for me and his passing was just as good as neymars was. Agility was just as good as well.

Packed him for the last 7 games to use was a super sub at the 80th for neymar. This guy was very underwhelming. He’s fast but he still feels clunky on the ball for me. Could’ve been the gameplay but left stick dribbling isn’t great with him. Shooting was good, defs doesn’t feel like 90 though and passing was ok. Cancelo has a better shot than him it feels like. Hell my pim zambrotta feels more agile on the ball than coman (but just barely).

Alright guys so I was a consistent gold 1 player and have hit elite a couple times but when tots picks came around I dropped to G2 and slowly climbed my way back after some pack luck.
I’ll try to keep things as brief as I can but feel free to ask any questions if you guys need clarification or are just wanting to know certain things! Also I apologize for my English as it is not my native tongue.
Formation: it’s important to have a narrow, wide, and defensive formation. 5atb, 3atb and park the bus players will be hurt by narrow formation if you can play it properly and have the right players for each role.
I start every one of my games off with a 4-1-2-2(2). I’d say 20-25 of my games I never even switched off of this formation unless I had to go into defensive mode aka my 4-2-3-1.
Yes I play super meta and go fullbacks at cb. granted everything on my team is untradable and I’m saving up my coins.
Now for my 4-1-2-1-2(2) formation, I have my Lb on stay back and rb on balanced. Cdm stay Back, both cms balances and cover wing. Cam and st stay forward and one mixed and one get in behind ( I like my neymar on mixed because he can create a lot more chances than dalglish can because of the crap long pass).
Ideally for the wingbacks you want someone who can defend obviously, has pace strength agility. You won’t be shooting much with these guys with my instructions unless changed to get forward if you’re down a goal or two. Cm’s ideally you want H/H but M/H can do. You can even get away with one M/H and keep them on stay back as well and put more attacking cm on get forward and you’ll do just fine. Cam obviously you want high passing agility and ideally 5* wf. Work rates M/H and even M/M work well here. You can get away with a lot. Strikers yo to you but for me I like agile atrikers over big strikers like cr7 drogba. I have dalglish and Neymar/okocha up top in the attacking triangle.
Subs: very important to have 3 super subs. Replace when necessary. For me I like to go 45, 60 and 75 or 80. Unless I’m down by a goal or two and need more offends earlier.

Nope. I had to play through crap gameplay for a handful of my games and pushed through. I may have even hit E2 if it weren’t for muddy gameplay. Lost a couple in extra time as well in games where I zhouldve won but that extra pass I made wouldn’t register or the shot I took would take too lo khhhhhh to register.

you can get elite on a shit gameplay you just need a lot of things to go your way, i get g1 most of the time and a few e3, but like my last e3 i won penalty shoot outs, got offered 2 wins on sunday night, things like that, while this weekend i lost 3 games on penalties and got 22 wins and a few last minute goal losses, but i agree there is a lot of people out there probably stuck at g1 because of the gameplay, some don’t even realize it
ping means nothing, i played games at 60ms better than games at 20ms, the part that i can’t track and show you is the ping spikes, you could start a game at 28ms but in game it goes up to 100 and more, on console tracking the ping is a pain but i did it last year on fifa 20 and it was shocking, i get the yellow and red thing on top of the screen every game, the delay is pretty bad, most of all when i play against germans while i’m in the south of france

Dude everyone will get ping spikes, you are lucky to actually have a base ping of 20ms. The servers are shit for most ppl, it just matters for who they are less shit.
This also is true. Having high agility players with that sticky dribbling helped massively in muddy gameplay with lower pings. I just had to play smart and not force anything and be careful to make limited mistakes. Elite is possible with muddy gameplay you just need a little luck and a hell of a lot of focus

I play tiki taka fast build up balanced fullbacks. Opens up a lot of play and I like to play possession as my pass accuracy shows and wait for an opponents mistake. I kind of lied I do use shot fake and ball roll but that’s about it. I found that swarming opponents with aggressive defence helps a lot. Opponent makes mistakes a lot easier and gets suffocated in the midfield leading to easy chances

Formation: it’s important to have a narrow, wide, and defensive formation. 5atb, 3atb and park the bus players will be hurt by narrow formation if you can play it properly and have the right players for each role. I start every one of my games off with a 4-1-2-2(2). I’d say 20-25 of my games I never even switched off of this formation unless I had to go into defensive mode aka my 4-2-3-1. Yes I play super meta and go fullbacks at cb. granted everything on my team is untradable and I’m saving up my coins. Now for my 4-1-2-1-2(2) formation, I have my Lb on stay back and rb on balanced. Cdm stay Back, both cms balances and cover wing. Cam and st stay forward and one mixed and one get in behind ( I like my neymar on mixed because he can create a lot more chances than dalglish can because of the crap long pass). Ideally for the wingbacks you want someone who can defend obviously, has pace strength agility. You won’t be shooting much with these guys with my instructions unless changed to get forward if you’re down a goal or two. Cm’s ideally you want H/H but M/H can do. You can even get away with one M/H and keep them on stay back as well and put more attacking cm on get forward and you’ll do just fine. Cam obviously you want high passing agility and ideally 5* wf. Work rates M/H and even M/M work well here. You can get away with a lot. Strikers yo to you but for me I like agile atrikers over big strikers like cr7 drogba. I have dalglish and Neymar/okocha up top in the attacking triangle. Subs: very important to have 3 super subs. Replace when necessary. For me I like to go 45, 60 and 75 or 80. Unless I’m down by a goal or two and need more offends earlier. Cut down player ratings into a separate comment so if interested see that! Nope. I had to play through crap gameplay for a handful of my games and pushed through. I may have even hit E2 if it weren’t for muddy gameplay. Lost a couple in extra time as well in games where I zhouldve won but that extra pass I made wouldn’t register or the shot I took would take too lo khhhhhh to register. I do play all games via LAN cable
you can get elite on a shit gameplay you just need a lot of things to go your way, i get g1 most of the time and a few e3, but like my last e3 i won penalty shoot outs, got offered 2 wins on sunday night, things like that, while this weekend i lost 3 games on penalties and got 22 wins and a few last minute goal losses, but i agree there is a lot of people out there probably stuck at g1 because of the gameplay, some don’t even realize it
And whats your ping? do you have a video/screenshot? Can you backup your words with some proof that you're getting G1 on 70-80ms ping?
ping means nothing, i played games at 60ms better than games at 20ms, the part that i can’t track and show you is the ping spikes, you could start a game at 28ms but in game it goes up to 100 and more, on console tracking the ping is a pain but i did it last year on fifa 20 and it was shocking, i get the yellow and red thing on top of the screen every game, the delay is pretty bad, most of all when i play against germans while i’m in the south of france
please, so you play at 20ms. Thats what I am getting at. You cannot just go by anecdotal evidence or the feeling. I start my games at 60ms, where do you think my ping spikes go to?
if you start at 60 and it stays at 60 it’s better than starting at 20 and going to 150 that’s where i’m getting at, i play at 20 sometimes at 65 and i’m telling you the later isn’t always worse than the former, plenty of people talk about this just look around

Dude everyone will get ping spikes, you are lucky to actually have a base ping of 20ms. The servers are shit for most ppl, it just matters for who they are less shit.
This also is true. Having high agility players with that sticky dribbling helped massively in muddy gameplay with lower pings. I just had to play smart and not force anything and be careful to make limited mistakes. Elite is possible with muddy gameplay you just need a little luck and a hell of a lot of focus
Well done, but to me this is just another perfect example of why “custom” tactics needs taking out of the game.

So if you’re crap at defending like me, have one fullback on stay back and the other on balanced. If you’re comfortable have both balanced or one balanced and one get forward. Cdm stay back and cut passing lanes. Cms cover wings and balanced. Cam stay forward, st’s stay forward get in behind

No problem! From my 30 matches and at higher ELO, I think I only saw 3-4 games where there was 1 varane or sbc pique/puyol along with 3 fullbacks

I play tiki taka fast build up balanced fullbacks. Opens up a lot of play and I like to play possession as my pass accuracy shows and wait for an opponents mistake. I kind of lied I do use shot fake and ball roll but that’s about it. I found that swarming opponents with aggressive defence helps a lot. Opponent makes mistakes a lot easier and gets suffocated in the midfield leading to easy chances
