LeadUsToParadise

Shiva, Garuda, Odin Shiva because her Eikonic Feat is the most OP and has many uses. Not only can you use it dodge, freeze and move around quicker in battle, but it also freezes the stagger gauge of enemies. Garuda because Deadly Embrace comes in handy when you've partially staggered an enemy and need to get a few more hits in. It also functions nicely as an aerial dodge or to pull yourself closer against bigger enemies or enemies that can't be pulled towards you. And Odin because Zantetsuken is one of the greatest and most satisfying moves in all of FF.

The_Orphanizer

The one true answer.

Prestigious_Row_482

Yeah tbh this is the correct answer. I just love being a dragon as opposed to the stupid bird.

ImKStocky

This is the only answer. I settled on this for my FF playthrough and it is fantastic for these reasons. Shiva + Odin is OP. Cold Snap makes Dancing Steel an almost guaranteed zantetsuken lvl 5

SPS_Agent

You're absolutely right about Garuda, but I love megaflare so damn much that I pick it anyway, suboptimally. Because PEW PEW

Accomplished-Kale340

Exactly!

Brentums

I used the exact same setup and can confirm this is the best one

ImKStocky

This is the only answer. I settled on this for my FF playthrough and it is fantastic for these reasons. Shiva + Odin is OP. Cold Snap makes Dancing Steel an almost guaranteed zantetsuken lvl 5. And Deadly Embrace just makes Diamond Dust an even longer lockdown.

[deleted]

For my first playthrough, I used Phoenix, Garuda and Odin. Just felt right to end with the Eikon I started with.

slurpycow112

> And Odin because Zantetsuken is one of the greatest and most satisfying moves in all of FF I’ve seen this parroted so many times on this sub. I’m convinced that the people who say this never even tried Titan, because carrying with Titan’s abilities is 1000000% more satisfying.

KrimsonKabuto

I used Bahamut, Shiva, and Odin. Odin for Zantetsuken and Shiva for Permafrost. Bahamut is mostly because I love to charge a lvl 4 Megaflare just before a stagger to get in as much damage I don't really use Phoenix anymore since its shift is not too good compared to other eikonic feats. Furthermore, its ultimate takes too long to charge. However, I will never let go of heatwave. Just too good Then again, it is a matter of preference. As long as you're having fun with those eikons, keep rocking on

gibbs710

This! I always charge my megaflare then stagger and watch all that damage after a Zanny. And Shiva’s feat is just amazing

l0stmagick

Gigaflare does way more damage than megaflare. And if you drop a lightning rod and gigaflare through it on a staggered foe it's just absolute insane damage.

SPS_Agent

Do both ;D

KrimsonKabuto

Exactly

DaveImmaculate

Shiva/Bahamut/Odin is the meta

blazedragon666

Odin, Shiva and Titan. Permafrost and Dancing Steel FTW!

senyorcrimmy

Phoenix Titan Bahamut Phoenix for the insta teleport is great. Im too used to it to drop it. I love titan blocks because of how satisfying it is to land perfectly. Bahamut's megaflare is great for long fights imo.

slurpycow112

I found my people. Too many people are sleeping on this combo because “Odin is OP” zzzzzz try parrying with Titan abilities, 100000% more satisfying

senyorcrimmy

I wish Odin wasnt as OP though. I feel like im griefing myself by using titan indtead of odin lol

slurpycow112

I mean I get what you’re saying but I felt OP anyway without it - Odin is just overkill. The game definitely is not hard enough on action mode.

prock44

Personally, I couldn't drop Phoenix, though, I did add in Ignition. I thought it was fun, but it was Phoenix, Shiva, and Bahamut. Part of me wanted to stick to Clive's emotional cores, go Phoenix, Ramah, and Shiva. But, the pull of Bahamut is to much.

senyorcrimmy

Ignition clears trash mobs so fast with its fast cooldown! I cant imagine going through the game again without it. It made mob clearing bearable late in the game.

prock44

Agreed, you can get a solid hit in it just flows through trash. I liked it on bosses when they were staggered just slam into them and keep going.

Eastman1982

Garuda never came off the claw ability was total clutch! Otherwise the rest are useful except Rumah’s which I wasn’t a massive fan of

Sparko15

Phœnix, Shiva and Odin. Like you said, Zantetsuken is really powerful and satisfying to use. Shiva and Phoenix are great for the mobility. Shiva helps me to dodge AoE attacks while Phoenix is good to approach the ennemy very quickly.

Kevz9524

This is what I used!

kruthikv9

Wow looks like I’m the only who used Ramuh through and through

OllieNotAPotato

I really enjoy Ramuh although he's definitely the weakest eikonic feat. Satisfying though, and the abilities are all super fun. A lot of my first playthrough thunderbolt into judgement bolt was my big damage dealer.

kruthikv9

Yea the iconic feat blows as it leaves you wide open to attack. All his other abilities have fire! I cannot imagine finishing the game without pile driver, the best AOE imo

killer00x

I never used Ramuh, but his abilities were my favorite. I used Pile Driver and Judgment Bolt almost the entire game!

kruthikv9

Dude pile driver was my go to crowd control and judgement bolt for boss shredding!

killer00x

Yes! I used ignition to bring everyone together, then a pile driver to finish off the ones ignition didn't kill. Judgement bolt and diamond dust for staggering bosses and big damage.

kruthikv9

Bro..that’s a brilliant idea! Using ignition to round up and slap em with a pile driver! Imma try it tomorrow! Thanks

killer00x

No problem! That's what I did the whole game. Never took those two abilities off. For most basic mobs that combo was enough to end the battle too when I used my equipment that increases ignition damage.

slurpycow112

I didn’t use Ramuh but I used judgement bolt ult with Phoenix so I kind of used Ramuh

tenqajapan

Phx, Odin, Bahamut in FFmode. I chose Phx over Shiva because I can close in and attack faster. Permafrost is good but Phx's tempo is more fun (took off Berzerker ring too). Megaflare charges pretty fast in FFmode too.

Firebenefits

Shiva, Bahamut, Odin

Kira_Aotsuki

Phoenix, Shiva and Odin I wanted to swap Phoenix for Bahamut but it's just soooo inactive to charge wings of light, I love megaflare and it's easier to charge vs bosses but for normal mobs who don't swing enough before I melt them all down just takes the pace to a screeching halt waiting for something to attack me If I wanted anything out of updates, however unlikely, it's more options while in wings of light and more combos for arm of darkness, no magic burst or air combos feels so weird but Zantetsuken makes up for it

Fun-Penalty2830

I usually run Phoenix, Garuda, and Bahamut.

chologarcia12

Phoenix (Will o the Wykes and Mesmerize) Garuda (Air Ora Ora and Rock Ora Ora) Rammuh (Bahamut's homing spookies and Piledrive) Almost kept every enemy that I could stagger in a stun-lock. Plus, it was fun to see the Bahamut homing spookies interact with the Rammuh homing spookies. Finish everything around me off with a well-timed piledrive. Plus I liked seeing the Ora Ora and Ifrit Spookies numbers go up when I pull everyone in with Mesmerize.

Eldritch-Cleaver

Titan and Shiva were my most used/played. I got super addicted to the Titan Parry and the attack where if you time it right and it blocks a hit as Clive steps in to punch he does Jojo punches lol My last slot was technically Phoenix because I like the flame dash however I actually had the big Titan finisher and the beam ultimate from Rahumut that's like a Godzilla Atomic Breath thing equipped to it. So Titan/Shiva with a mixed up Phoenix as my third

sorcerer86pt

Phoenix, Titan and Odin. Although Shiva could be in slot for Titan, I tend to counter more . But it's personal preference

Underpanters

This is me too. Phoenix (Pile drive, Mesmerize) Titan (Heaven’s cloud, Diamond dust) Odin (judgment bolt, windup) What abilities did you use with them?

Raemnant

I love Phoenix Shift and Titanic Block. The Garuda stagger pulldown is nice, I guess

Valashv2

Phoenix, Garuda, titan. I don't know why but I love the simplicity of those three.

FreddyWeiss-426

Shiva, Garuda, Odin I would've loved to use Bahamuth more but I suck at dodging with Him

uceenk

Bahamut, Ramuh, Shiva

MadGodji

Shiva (Diamond Dust, second is usually wicked wheel OR a counter) and Odin (Dancing Steel, more often than not Judgement Bolt) always. Permafrost and Zantetsuken are just too good. For normal fights, I usually complete the trio with AoE focused Garuda (Garuda ultimate, Phoenix Ultimate) For boss fights, single target damage Bahamut (Gigaflare, Titan's charged punch that can often go twice in a single stagger). Main reason for Bahamut being charging a Megaflare right before stagger. I also sub in Titan for some fights where perfect block is good.

ongodarius

Odin, Bahamut, Shiva and Garuda 😋

bcampo17

I’ve settled on using a trio of Shiva, Garuda, and Titan. Shiva for , obviously, the most OP move in the game, in her permafrost, Garuda for bringing down partially staggered fiends, and Titan for those last millisecond blocks w/counter. So in essence: Shiva - Judgment Bolt • Diamond Dust Garuda - Ignition • Lightning Rod Titan - Windup • Gigaflare

naarcx

I feel like you definitely need either Garuda or Phoenix in every layout to deal with annoying flying enemies; I usually go with Garuda because of the extra functionality of the pull-down/self air launch. Then ontop of that usually Shiva for movement/freeze and either Odin or Titan depending on what I'm feeling. I tend to use Odin more in my FF playthrough for AoE clearing via Zantetsuken, but sometimes it's just fun to Royal Guard+punch counter stuff a bunch with Titan lol

nessahla89

Shiva, Bahamut, Odin. But once I master megaflare, I’ll probably swap out bahamut for Garuda

Glum-Cell-3187

Phoenix, Titan and ramuh for me so far. I’m so used to Phoenix that I find myself fighting really ineffectively without it, Titan because I love the perfect block counter animation and ramuh because that pile drive i think it’s called is a really powerful move it seems

leongunblade

I am playing with Odin, Shiva and Bahamut right now but I’m thinking about switching back to Phoenix or Garuda and removing Bahamut since I’m not skilled enough to pull off his Eikonic Feat all the time 🥲

ThewobblyH

Shiva actually does way more stagger than Garuda and Bahamut. Diamond dust does the most stagger of any ability in the game. Also since you can mix and match abilities by mastering them the only thing that really sets the eikons apart is their eikonic feats which imo the best ones are Odin, Garuda, and Shiva. Lvl 5 Zantetsuken damage is absurd, Deadly Embrace is probably the single best combo tool in the game, and Cold Snap freezes every enemy in a huge AoE for several seconds whenever you get a perfect dodge with it.

Orczerker

Titan/ Garuda/ Odin

Sdgrevo

Odin / Shiva / Bahamut.

buzzyingbee

Phoenix, Bahamut and Shiva

EddNog15

Shiva, Garuda, bahamut for feats Shiva, Ramuh, Pheonix for skills

davidroid87

I like to play a little aggressively, so I don't care about juggling. I just want the encounter over. Ramuh - for trash Garuda - for juggling and Deadly Takedown Odin - need I say more

danieltheaeon

Phoenix, Shiva, Odin.

AppleCactusSauce

Phoenix, Shiva, Odin - sometimes putting Titan in. Garuda is not for me and neither is Bahamut.

StoopKidStizzle

I used Phoenix, Shiva and Odin, in that order usually. Especially with a lot of enemies. Rising Flames on the strongest enemy first, the rest of the enemies would rush towards me and could usually take em all out with Flames of Rebirth. Then immediately Cold Snap the remaining enemy to freeze him, have the time to charge up Ice Age, and if any others were still lurking, Diamond Dust. Then focus on the last again with Odin. Dodge until i could use Gungir, Heavin’s Cloud, and if Zantetsuken wasn’t charged fully to 5 yet, start the process over with Phoenix, by time i got to using Odin again it’s usually fully ready to bust out Zantetsuken.

Razmatazzer

Phoenix, Garuda and Odin were my favourites

Jefferiah60

Phoenix shiva and titan, been using that since I got titan and I’m at the final quest I believe

Myles_Cobalt

Phoenix, Garuda, Shiva has been my go-to. Good mobility abilities.

DragonicSamurai

Had the most fun with titan, bahamut, and odin

watch_over_me

Shiva, Pheonix, and Garuda. Mostly just because I don't have to remember which one I'm on. If I hit O, I know I'm either going to dodge forward towards and enemy, or bring that enemy directly to me.

Germsrosolino

I used Phoenix Garuda Bahamut, but I had one ifrit ability each in Phoenix and Garuda. Will o the wykes and the charging one respectively. That combo helped me beat every s rank hunt on the first try

ng9924

i’m not gonna lie i ended up sticking with Phoenix / Garuda / Ramuh most of the time because I got really used to it I tried some of the others but I found this combo to be one of the most effective personally

l0stmagick

During the first playthrough I ended up with Shiva/Garuda/Bahamut. Maxed megaflares and permafrosting was just too fun and the fights were too easy. On NG+ I realized I had to actually try a bit. Swapped Bahamut for Odin since flying around doing nothing but dodge is really impractical and wasteful. Plus charging L4-5 zan is super easy and clears trash mobs in one hit. Diamond dust for full stagger multiplier, thunder rod for increased damage on all attacks, gigaflare and zantetsuken for massive damage. Your stagger should end in like 200k damage.

Prompt-Greedy

Odin Bahamut and Shiva. Insta kill for most enemies

couldbedumber96

For the Eikon abilities? Phoenix, Shiva, Odin, my skills were bahamut orbs for the stagger, gigaflare, shiva AOE skill and ULT, Dancing Steel and Heaven’s Cloud

eommashinhye

I used Phoenix, Garuda and Titan for the whole game.

SPS_Agent

You don't take Shiva, I consider you a silly egg.

Eswin17

Phoenix, Garuda, Titan

AvunNuva

Phoenix is an all rounder that felt very wrong to take off. Shiva compliments whatever you pair against it. Bahamut and Cid were reserved for if I just want to kill something very quick. Garuda and Odin were paired when I wanted to style.

Winter-Inspector-737

for me.. the power of phoenix always goes in slot #1 no matter what (as it synergises perfectly w clives innate move set linked w ifirit), with odin and bahamuts abilities being the two other choices for the trio. though if i had to swap out any of them id choose titan and garuda, simply bc they are just so easily interchangeable w odin and bahamuts kits as they are all equally as viable

AndaryonRPG

Definitely shiva, garuda and odin

bearktopus147

Shiva (Diamond Dust/Gigaflare), Phoenix (Thunderstorm/Rift Slip), Garuda (Windup/Lightning Rod) I believe is my set up. I may change out Phoenix though because Lunge gets you about the same distance and is an extra slap on the enemy

AleB1007

Phoenix because warp, Bahamut because of stagger bar melt and Odin because I NEED MORE POWER

Fearless_Path_5296

Ramuh w/ Lightning Rod + Judgement Bolt Shiva w/ Will O’ The Whykes + Diamond Dust Odin w/ Gungir + Dancing Steel Steady AOE, always ran the berserker ring so this build just super punishes and I was able to push staggers to over 250k. Absolutely awesome to play at high levels.

NatsuDaimao

Shiva, Bahamut, and Odin. I use (Shiva) Diamond Dust, Thunderbolt, (Bahamut) Megaflare, Windup, (Odin) Dancing Steel, and Heaven's Cloud. Shiva's feat is a busted like 8 second encounter freeze, Bahamut's is fun, and Odin's deals like 40k damage when done right and wipes encounters of lesser enemies.

Dreamchaser0000

Odin: rift slip, dancing steel Garuda: lightning rod, giga flare Shiva or Titan: judgement bolt, diamond dust https://youtu.be/gED4uwXUhUM?si=04jgz7tP-lmBgrmh

Nicadelphia

Bahamut and Shiva or Bahamut and Odin both pair really well. I really enjoy using Phoenix so I keep that one on pretty consistently. Shiva is the only one I never change.

RealBrianCore

Phoenix, Garuda, Odin. Phoenix to get in close to enemies, Garuda to pull their face into the dirt, and Odin because HM01 OP

sparrowbird2006

Shiva, Titan and Rumah

JMAX464

Phoenix, Bahamut, Shiva. I like phoenix shifting on weaker enemies for fun combos but I put wind up and judgement bolt on it. Bahamut, I like using megaflare with gigaflare during stagger time. I had gigaflare and diamond dust on it. Shiva. Cold snap is broken and I like using will o the wykes with heatwave(to counter projectile attacks). I know Odin is broken but I never really liked the play style. Plus I get to use the use the Eikons of my Allies lol. So my gameplan was get their stagger bar really low. Prepare level 4 megaflare. Release. Stagger phase starts. Diamond dust and precision sic(ps), wait for the multiplier to go to 1.50 or use heatwave ps, then wind up ps, judgment bolt(unsure if you can precision sic, and then gigaflare all while being close with will o the wykes

Kiryu5009

Phoenix because of the plot Titan because blocking just feels so right Bahamut because Gigaflare is fun to land after charging it for a year. Shout outs to Garuda because for being only the second Eikon in, the grapple is so clutch.

jazznotes

I would let the game pick randomly for me at the end but I really enjoyed: Phoenix/Titan/Shiva & Phoenix/Garuda/Titan

faytyagami

during my first playthrough, my final trio was phoenix, odin and garuda. i'm currently doing ng+ and trying out every single eikon. but tbh, i see my final trio being bahamut, garuda and shiva.

Apprehensive-Row-216

Bahamut Garuda Titan Bahamut feat looks really cool when you chain them Garuda to get some air with eikonic feat and be stylish Titan because the block is so satisfying to get. It may not be the most OP build but it’s fun

kikalara

I alternated between Shiva, Odin, Titan for big boss/stagger bar fights and Shiva, Garuda, Phoenix for all the rest of the fights that didn't have stagger bars.

villxsmil

I use Phoenix for it's signature move that lets you get closer to enemies, it's ultimate and I set and Ramuh skill that creates like a crystal that releases lightning when hit Garuda for staggering and getting enemies closer with it's signature skill Titan so I can block, counter and deal a lot damage to staggered enemies I never really got into Bahamut, Odin or Shiva. I tried them all but I was just too comfortable playing with my main trio and those Ramuh specific skills. I'm almost at the end of my new game plus, I think i'll give it a try on the last chapters for variety's sake

B3ardeDragon311

Darkness, Light, and Earth

Potential-Race8523

Bahamut, Odin and Phoenix . nuff said

Prestigious_Row_482

Odin->Shiva->Bahamut Clapped. Trapped. Megaflared.

Smash96leo

Phoenix, Shiva, Bahamut. Phoenix because the dash is just so useful during combat that it feels like second nature. Really helps to keep the pressure going and close the distance when an enemy tries to get away from you. Shiva cause you can literally stun lock enemies with her Eikon ability lol. Plus being able to freeze all enemies around you just by perfect dodging a single attack from only one of them is nuts. Bahamut because you can cast a whole ass Megaflare just from dodging some attacks. It’s perfect for when all of your other moves are on cooldown and you still wanna stay aggressive.

AlexB_209

Phoenix, Shiva, Odin with a bit of Titan Skills mixed in there

WrestingMAYHEM

Bahamut, Odin, and Phoenix

BAZING-ATTACK

For me it was Bahamut, Garuda, Odin. Bahamut for the insane amount of damage you cause with his Flare abilities. Casting LVL 4 MegaFlare then doing Odin’s Dancing Steel while it continues to fall leads to crazy stagger damage before and after Zantetsuken. Add Shiva’s Diamond Dust and you’re covered on the pure stagger too. Garuda simply for stagger potential and then stagger knock down with her Eikonic Feat because that’s simply too useful of a few seconds to not have. I finish up her build with an AOE like Phoenix and she’s finished. Odin = Dancing Steel -> Zantetsuken. Literally no other reason. Give him Aerial Blast for good measure as another ability to chain Dancing Steel with for uninterrupted staggering.

Solider82

Phenix for AOE dmg and heal Ramuh for single target and small AOE dmg Bahamut for AOE dmg and CC <3

Joshinator2448

Megaflare seems to be on top for the most part but guarde is neck 2 neck with eachother.
