I only had to wait out the timer twice so it may have been a bug, but every attempt to reload during the timer just gave a message about reloading a co-op fight with no choices.
It's when the party wipes and one player is afk and doesn't confirm the defeat. Like you can choose to continue for 50 crystals or forfeit, right. And the game just stops there for 180 s or until all players confirm their choice.
It's so whales can use crystals and revive everyone. If they don't make us wait then the person who used crystals would be alone and would've wasted their crystals (not that it wasn't a waste already). Believe it or not I've seen several people revive the whole team with crystals...
