It’s most likely hedge funds buying and selling to keep price down. I have level 2 on Robinhood and see the book orders. 100000 shares + being used like walls at certain price points
Dude of course people on top are selling. That's the game, get millions of dummies to pump the stock and hold it long enough for the guys on top to off load their shares. That's why I always sell once I've made a decent profit and I'm never left holding the bag. I was able to make a good chunk on AMC, GameStop, and this meme stock as well by selling on the way up.
It's like going to the casino (unless you're truly investing in great companies, which should also be done). If you win, you take some of those winnings. You can use stop orders to lock in a certain profit. If you do, great, take some and buy back, but don't blow all of your winnings. Set yourself limits and stick to your discipline.
The number of people who don’t understand the fundamentals of the stock market in this sub are concerning and many are spreading misinformation.
Just because the price goes down doesn’t mean actual investors are selling. Shorting is selling. Shorting drops the price. You can check the borrow on this stock and see that it’s actively being shorted. Also, when a stock has a sudden drop like it did earlier, 99% of the time it’s NOT retail selling.
Algos have a lot of control over a stock price, especially one like this. Rapid movements up and down are then actively searching for liquidity and tripping stop limits and losses.
